¹⁸ But I have all things and more than enough; I have been filled, receiving from Epaphroditus the things from you, an odor of sweet smell, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God.

³ Then taking a pound of ointment of pure, costly spikenard, Mary anointed the feet of Jesus and wiped off His feet with her hairs. And the house was filled with the odor of the ointment. ⁴ Then Simon's son, one of His disciples, Judas Iscariot, who was about to betray Him, said, ⁵ Why was this ointment not sold for three hundred denarii and given to the poor? ⁶ But he said this, not that he was caring for the poor, but that he was a thief and held the moneybag and carried away the things being put in . ⁷ Then Jesus said, Allow her, for she has kept it for the day of My burial. ⁸ For you always have the poor with you, but you do not always have Me.

¹ Therefore, brothers, I call on you through the compassions of God to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, pleasing to God, which is your reasonable service.

¹⁴ But thanks be to God, He always leading us in triumph in Christ, and the One revealing through us the odor of the knowledge of Him in every place. ¹⁵ For we are a sweet smell to God because of Christ in those being saved, and in those being lost; ¹⁶ to the one, an odor of death unto death, and to the other, an odor of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?

¹² Because the ministry of this service is not only making up the things lacking of the saints, but also multiplying through many thanksgivings to God,

² and walk in love, even as Christ also loved us and gave Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for an odor of a sweet smell.

²⁵ But I thought it needful to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother and fellow-worker, and my fellow soldier, and your messenger and minister of my need, ²⁶ since he was longing for you all and has been troubled because you heard that he was sick.

¹² But I know to be humbled, and I know to abound; in everything, and in all things, I am taught both to be filled and to hunger, both to abound, and to lack.

³ Brothers, we are bound to give thanks to God always concerning you, even as it is right, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of each one of you multiplies toward one another,

¹⁶ But do not be forgetful of doing good and sharing, for God is well pleased with such sacrifices.

⁵ you also as living stones are being built a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
