¹ Sons, hear the instruction of a father, and listen so as to know understanding. ² For I give you good teaching, do not forsake my law. ³ For I was my father's son, tender and an only one in the sight of my mother. ⁴ And he taught me and said to me, Let your heart cling to my words; keep my commands and live. ⁵ Get wisdom, get understanding; do not forsake and do not turn away from the words of my mouth. ⁶ Do not forsake her, and she will preserve you; love her, and she will keep you. ⁷ Wisdom is the main thing; get wisdom, and with all your getting, get understanding. ⁸ Exalt her, and she will lift you up; she shall bring you to honor when you embrace her. ⁹ She shall give a wreath of grace to your head; she shall shield you with a crown of glory. ¹⁰ Oh my son, hear and receive my sayings, and the years of your life shall be many. ¹¹ I have taught you in the way of wisdom; I have led you in the right tracks; ¹² when you go, your tracks shall not be narrowed, and when you run, you shall not stumble. ¹³ Take fast hold of instruction, do not let her go; keep her, for she is your life. ¹⁴ Do not enter the path of the wicked, and do not go in the way of evildoers. ¹⁵ Avoid it, do not pass by it; turn from it and pass on. ¹⁶ For they do not sleep if they have done no evil, and their sleep is taken away unless they cause some to fall. ¹⁷ For they eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence. ¹⁸ But the path of the just is as a bright light going on and shining till the day is established. ¹⁹ The way of the wicked is as darkness; they do not know at what they stumble. ²⁰ My son, listen to my words; bow your ear to what I say; ²¹ let them not depart from your eyes; keep them in the center of your heart; ²² for they are life to those who find them, and healing to all his flesh. ²³ Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life. ²⁴ Turn away from you the crooked mouth, and put perverse lips far from you. ²⁵ Let your eyes look straight ahead, and let your eyelids look straight before you. ²⁶ Study the track of your feet, then all your ways will be established. ²⁷ Do not turn to the right hand or to the left; turn your foot aside from evil.

¹¹ Come, listen to me, my sons, I will teach you the fear of Jehovah.

⁸ My son, hear your father's instruction, and do not forsake the teaching of your mother;

¹ My son, if you will receive My words, and treasure up My commandments with you, ² so that you attend to wisdom, you shall extend your heart to understanding. ³ For if you cry for discernment, lifting up your voice for understanding; ⁴ if you seek her as silver, and search for her as hidden treasures, ⁵ then you shall understand the fear of Jehovah and find knowledge of God.

¹ My son, listen to my wisdom; bow your ears to my understanding;

²⁰ My son, keep your father's commands, and do not forsake the law of your mother. ²¹ Tie them to your heart forever; tie them around your neck. ²² When you go, it shall lead you; when you sleep, it shall watch over you; and when you awaken, it will meditate with you. ²³ For the commandment is a lamp, and the law a light; and reproofs of instruction are a way of life,

⁴ Say to wisdom, You are my sister, and call understanding your kinsman,

³² And now listen to me, O sons, for blessed are those who keep my ways. ³³ Hear instruction, and be wise, and do not refuse it. ³⁴ Blessed is the man listening to me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors. ³⁵ For whoever finds me finds life, and he shall obtain favor from Jehovah. ³⁶ But he who sins against me does violence to his own soul; all who hate me love death.

²⁰ Hear advice and receive instruction, that you may be wise in your latter end.

¹⁷ Stretch your ear and hear the words of the wise, and set your heart to My knowledge,

¹¹ even as you know how I was to each one of you, as a father to his children, exhorting and consoling you, ¹² testifying for you to walk worthily of God, He calling you to His kingdom and glory.

¹ For this reason we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things heard, that we should not slip away at any time.

² My doctrine shall drop as the rain; my speech shall drop down as the dew, as the small rain on the tender plant, and as the showers on the grass;

⁹ And you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a perfect heart, and with a willing mind. For Jehovah searches out all hearts, and He understands every imagination of thoughts. If you shall seek Him, He shall be found by you. But if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever.

¹⁹ and if you turn away, and you shall forsake My statutes and My commandments that I have placed before you, and shall go and serve other gods and shall bow yourselves to them,

⁴ For you have said, My doctrine is pure; and, I am clean in Your eyes.

³ My words shall be from my upright heart; and my lips will clearly speak knowledge.

¹ To the chief musician, A Psalm for the Sons of Korah. Hear this all peoples listen, all inhabitants of the world. ² Both sons of mankind and sons of man together, rich and poor: ³ My mouth shall speak wisdoms; and the thoughts of my heart shall be of understanding.

³⁰ If his children forsake My law and do not walk in My judgments; ³¹ if they profane My statutes and do not keep My commandments; ³² then I will visit their transgressions with the rod, and their sins with stripes.

⁶ Hear, for I will speak of excellent things, and from the opening of my lips shall be right things. ⁷ For my mouth shall speak of truth, and wickedness is hateful to my lips. ⁸ All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; nothing crooked or perverse is in them; ⁹ they are all plain to the understanding one; and right to those who find knowledge.

²⁰ Have I not written to you the third time with counsels and knowledge, ²¹ to cause you to know the verity of the words of truth, to return words of truth to those who send you?

¹⁶ Jesus answered them and said, My doctrine is not Mine, but of the One who sent Me. ¹⁷ If anyone desires to do His will, he will know concerning the doctrine, whether it is of God, or I speak from Myself.

⁶ Having suggested these things to the brothers, you will be a good minister of Jesus Christ, having been nourished by the words of faith, and by the good doctrine which you have followed.

⁹ clinging to the faithful word according to the teaching, that he may be able both to encourage by sound doctrine and to convict the ones contradicting.

²⁴ And David comforted his wife Bathsheba. And he went into her, and lay with her. And she bore a son, and he called his name Solomon. And Jehovah loved him, ²⁵ and sent by the hand of Nathan the prophet, and called his name Jedidiah, because of Jehovah.

¹³ Go up and go in to king David. And you shall say to him, My lord, O king, have you not sworn to your handmaid, saying, Surely your son Solomon shall reign after me, and he shall sit on my throne? And why does Adonijah reign? ¹⁴ Behold, while you are speaking with the king, then I will come in after you and will confirm your words. ¹⁵ And Bathsheba came in to the king, to the inner room. And the king was old, and Abishag the Shunammite was serving the king. ¹⁶ And Bathsheba bowed and knelt before the king. And the king said, What shall I do for you? ¹⁷ And she said to him, My lord, you have sworn to your handmaid by Jehovah your God, saying, Surely your son Solomon shall reign after me, and he shall sit on my throne.

⁵ And these were born to him in Jerusalem: Shimea, and Shobab, and Nathan, and Solomon, four to Bathsheba the daughter of Ammiel;

⁵ And David said, My son Solomon is a youth and tender, and the house to be built to Jehovah is to be made great, to a height, for a name and for beauty to all the land; I pray You, let me prepare for it. And David prepared in abundance before his death.

¹ And David the king said to all the congregation, My son Solomon, the one whom God has chosen, is young and tender. And the work is great, for the magnificent house is not for man, but for Jehovah God.

²³ O Jehovah, I know that his way does not belong to man; it is not in man who walks to direct his steps.

¹⁰ And I will pour on the house of David, and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of grace and of prayers. And they shall look on Me whom they have pierced; and they shall mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only son, and they shall be bitter over Him, like the bitterness over the first-born.

¹⁶ minding the same thing toward one another, not minding high things, but yielding to the lowly. Do not become wise within yourselves.

¹⁹ For I have known him, so that whatever he may command his sons and his house after him, even they may keep the way of Jehovah, to do righteousness and justice; to the intent that Jehovah may bring on Abraham that which He has spoken of him.

³ You shall not do according to the doings of the land of Egypt in which you lived; and you shall not do according to the doings of the land of Canaan to which I am bringing you; nor shall you walk in their statutes. ⁴ You shall do My judgments and you shall keep My statutes, to walk in them; I am Jehovah your God, ⁵ and you shall keep My statutes and My judgments, which if a man do, he shall live by them. I am Jehovah.

⁹ Only, take heed to yourself and keep your soul carefully, that you do not forget the things which your eyes have seen; and that they not depart from your heart all the days of your life. And you shall make them known to your sons, and to your sons':

⁶ And these words which I am commanding you today shall be on your heart.

¹¹ Now, my son, may Jehovah be with you, and may you prosper and build the house of Jehovah your God, as He spoke concerning you. ¹² Only, may Jehovah give wisdom and understanding to you and command you as to Israel, even to keep the law of Jehovah your God; ¹³ then you shall prosper, if you observe to do the statutes and the judgments that Jehovah commanded Moses as to Israel; be strong and courageous; do not fear, nor be cast down. ¹⁴ And, behold, in my affliction I have prepared a hundred thousand gold talents for the house of Jehovah, and a million talents of silver; and there is no weighing of the bronze and iron, for it is in abundance; and I have prepared wood and stones, and you shall add to them. ¹⁵ And there are many workmen with you, masons and carvers in stone, and of wood, and every skillful man for every work. ¹⁶ No number is to the gold, and to the silver, and to the bronze, and to the iron; rise up and act, for Jehovah is with you.

¹¹ I have hidden Your word in my heart, that I might not sin against You.

¹ My son, do not forget my law, but let your heart keep my commands,

² Keep my commands and live, and my law as the pupil of your eye.

⁶ Train up a boy on the opening of his way, even when he is old, he will not turn aside from it.

³ Bend your ear and come to Me; hear, and your soul shall live; and I will cut a covenant everlasting with you, the faithful mercies of David.

⁵⁰ And I know that His command is everlasting life. Then what things I speak, as the Father has said to Me, so I speak.

⁴ And fathers, do not provoke your children, but bring them up in the discipline and admonition of the Lord.

⁵ taking recollection of the unpretended faith in you, which first dwelt in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice, and I am assured that it is also in you.

¹⁵ and that from a babe you know the Holy Scriptures, those being able to make you wise to salvation through belief in Christ Jesus.

⁹ and being perfected, He became the Author of eternal salvation to all the ones obeying Him,

² And he did the right in the eyes of Jehovah, and walked in the ways of his father David, and did not turn aside to the right or to the left.

¹¹ My foot has held fast in His steps; I have kept His way and have not turned;

¹⁸ Our heart has not turned back, and our steps have not swerved from Your way,

⁵¹ The proud have scorned me utterly; I have not veered from Your law.

¹⁵⁷ My persecutors and enemies are many; I do not turn from Your testimonies.

²² How long will you love to be simple, you simple ones? And will scorners desire scorn for themselves? And will fools hate knowledge? ²³ Turn back at my warning; behold, I will pour out my Spirit to you; I will make my words known to you.

² so that you attend to wisdom, you shall extend your heart to understanding. ³ For if you cry for discernment, lifting up your voice for understanding; ⁴ if you seek her as silver, and search for her as hidden treasures,

¹³ Happy is the man who finds wisdom, and the man who gets understanding. ¹⁴ For its profit is better than the gain from silver, and its increase more than fine gold; ¹⁵ she is more precious than rubies, and all the things you can desire are not to be compared with her. ¹⁶ Length of days is in her right hand; riches and honor in her left hand. ¹⁷ Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths peace. ¹⁸ She is a tree of life to the ones who lay hold on her; and happy are the ones holding her fast.

⁵ Understand wisdom, simple ones; and fools, be of an understanding heart.

¹⁶ How much better to get wisdom than gold! And to get understanding is to be chosen above silver.

¹⁶ Why is there hire in a fool's hand to get wisdom, and there is no heart for it ?

¹ He who separates himself seeks his own desire, he breaks out against all sound wisdom.

⁸ He who gets heart loves his own soul, he who keeps understanding finds good.

²³ Buy the truth, and sell it not, also wisdom, and instruction and understanding.

⁵ But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask from God, who gives to all freely and with no reproach, and it will be given to Him.

¹⁰ When wisdom enters into your heart, and knowledge is pleasing to your soul, ¹¹ discretion shall keep you, understanding shall watch over you; ¹² to deliver you from the evil way, from the man who speaks perverse things;

²¹ let them not depart from your eyes; keep them in the center of your heart; ²² for they are life to those who find them, and healing to all his flesh.

¹⁷ that through faith Christ may dwell in your hearts, having been rooted and founded in love,

¹⁰ and in all deceit of unrighteousness in those being lost, because they did not receive the love of the truth in order for them to be saved.

¹⁶ Do not be afraid when one becomes rich, when the glory of his house increases; ¹⁷ for when he dies, he shall take nothing; his glory shall not go down after him. ¹⁸ For in his life he blessed his soul; yea, men praise you when you do well for yourself. ¹⁹ He shall go to the generation of his fathers; they shall not see light forever. ²⁰ Man, though high in honor, but understanding not, is like the animals; they shall be cut off.

¹⁰⁴ By Your precepts I know; so then I hate every false way.

⁶ The getting of treasures by a lying tongue is a vapor driven by those who seek death.

⁴ I made my works great; I built houses for myself; I planted vineyards for myself; ⁵ I made gardens and parks for myself; and I planted trees in them, of every fruit; ⁶ I made pools of water for myself; to water from them the forest shooting forth trees; ⁷ I bought slaves and slave girls, and the sons of the house were mine. Also livestock, a herd and a great flock were mine, above all that were before me in Jerusalem. ⁸ I also gathered to me silver and gold, and the treasure of kings and of provinces. I made ready male singers and female singers for myself; and the delights of the sons of men, a concubine, and concubines. ⁹ And I became great and increased more than all who were before me in Jerusalem; also my wisdom stayed with me.

⁸ There is one alone, and there is not a second; yea, he has neither son nor brother; and there is no end to all his labor; even his eyes are not satisfied with riches; and he says, For whom do I labor, and take good from my soul? This is also vanity. Yes, it is an evil task.

¹² For wisdom is in a shadow; and silver is in a shadow; but the excellency of knowledge is that wisdom gives life to those who have it.

¹⁶ And I said, Wisdom is better than strength; but the poor man's wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard. ¹⁷ The words of wise men are heard in quiet, more than the cry of one who rules among fools. ¹⁸ Wisdom is better than weapons of conflict; but one sinner destroys much good.

⁴⁴ Again, the kingdom of Heaven is compared to treasure hidden in the field, which finding, a man hid; and for the joy of it, he goes and sells all things, as many as he has, and buys that field. ⁴⁵ Again, the kingdom of Heaven is compared to a man, a merchant seeking excellent pearls; ⁴⁶ who finding one very precious pearl, going away has sold all things, as many as he had, and bought it.

³⁶ For what shall it profit a man if he gain the whole world, yet damage his soul? ³⁷ Or what shall a man give as an exchange for his soul?

⁴² But there is need of only one; and Mary chose the good part, which shall not be taken from her.

²⁰ But God said to him, Fool! This night they demand your soul from you; and that which you prepared, to whom will it be?

⁸ But, nay, rather I also count all things to be loss because of the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them to be trash, that I might gain Christ

³⁰ So says Jehovah the God of Israel, I said indeed that your house and your father's house should walk before Me until forever. But now Jehovah says, Be it far from Me! For those who honor Me, I will honor; and those despising Me will be despicable.

⁵ Jehovah appeared to Solomon in Gibeon in a dream of the night. And God said, Ask. What shall I give to you? ⁶ And Solomon said, You have shown great kindness to Your servant, my father David, as he walked before You in truth and in righteousness and in uprightness of heart with You. And You have kept for him this great kindness, and have given to him a son sitting on his throne, as today. ⁷ And now, O Jehovah my God, You have caused Your servant to reign instead of my father David. And I am a little man-child; I do not know to go out and to come in. ⁸ And Your servant is in the midst of Your people whom You have chosen, a numerous people that cannot be numbered or counted for multitude. ⁹ Also give to Your servant an understanding heart, to judge Your people to discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this, Your great people? ¹⁰ And the word was good in the eyes of the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing. ¹¹ And God said to him, Because you have asked this thing, and have not asked for yourself many days, nor asked riches for yourself, nor asked the life of your enemies, and have asked for discernment for yourself, to understand judgment, ¹² behold, I have done according to your words. Behold, I have given to you a wise and understanding heart, so that there was none like you before you, and after you none shall rise up like you. ¹³ And also, I have given you that which you have not asked, both riches and honor, that there shall not be a man like you among the kings all your days.

³⁵ The wise inherit honor, but the foolish exalt shame.

⁴ The reward of humility is the fear of Jehovah, riches, and honor, and life.

³ And those who are wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament, and those turning many to righteousness as the stars forever and ever.

⁹ for they shall be an ornament of grace to your head, and chains for your neck.

²² and they shall be life to your soul, and grace to your neck;

³¹ The gray head is a crown of glory; it is found in the way of righteousness.

⁵ In that day Jehovah of Hosts shall become a crown of glory and a diadem of beauty to the rest of His people,

⁹ So also the women to adorn themselves in proper clothing, with modesty and sensibleness, not with plaiting, or gold, or pearls, or expensive garments, ¹⁰ but what becomes women professing fear of God, through good works.

⁷ You made him a little less than the angels; You crowned him with glory and honor; and You set him over the works of Your hands; ⁸ You put all things under his feet." Psa. 8:4 -6 For in putting all things under him, He left nothing not subjected to him. But now we do not yet see all things being subjected to him; ⁹ but we do see Jesus crowned with glory and honor, who on account of the suffering of death was made a little less than the angels, so that by the grace of God He might taste of death for every son .

⁴ but the hidden man of the heart, in the incorruptible adornment of the meek and quiet spirit, which is of great value before God.

⁴ And at the appearing of the Chief Shepherd, you will receive the never fading crown of glory.

²¹ The one overcoming, I will give to him to sit with Me in My throne, as I also overcame and sat with My Father in His throne.

¹⁶ Honor your father and your mother, as Jehovah your God has commanded you, so that your days may be prolonged, and so that it may be well with you in the land which Jehovah your God is giving to you.

² that you might fear Jehovah your God, to keep all His statutes and His commandments which I command you; you, and your son, and your sons' son, all the days of your life; and that your days may be prolonged.

²² Now receive the law from His mouth and put His words in your heart.

¹ My son, if you will receive My words, and treasure up My commandments with you,

² for they shall add length of days and long life and peace to you.

¹⁶ Length of days is in her right hand; riches and honor in her left hand.

¹⁰ Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge, rather than choice gold.

²⁰ Yet hear the word of Jehovah, women. And let your ear receive the word of His mouth, and teach your daughters a lament, and each one her neighbor a dirge.

³² And what He has seen and heard, this He testifies, and no one receives His testimony. ³³ The one receiving His testimony has sealed that God is true.

¹³ And because of this we give thanks to God without ceasing, that having received the Word of hearing from us, you welcomed it as of God, not as a word of men, but as it is, truly the Word of God, which also works in you, the ones believing.

¹⁵ Faithful is the Word and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.

⁵ Behold, I have taught you statutes and ordinances, as Jehovah my God has commanded me, to do them, in the midst of the land where you are going in, to possess it,

²³ Also I, far be it from me from sinning against Jehovah, from ceasing to pray for you. But I will instruct you in the good and the right way. ²⁴ Only fear Jehovah and serve Him in truth with all your heart, for see that He has done great things for you.

³ He restores my soul; He guides me in paths of righteousness for His name's sake.

⁴ Make me know Your ways, O Jehovah; teach me Your paths; ⁵ lead me in Your truth, and teach me; for You are the God of my salvation; on You I wait all the day long.

⁴ And he taught me and said to me, Let your heart cling to my words; keep my commands and live.

⁶ Hear, for I will speak of excellent things, and from the opening of my lips shall be right things.

⁹ they are all plain to the understanding one; and right to those who find knowledge.

²⁰ I walk in the path of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of justice;

⁹ And more than that, the Preacher was wise; he still taught the people knowledge. Yes, he listened, and looked, and set in order many proverbs.

¹⁰ he said, O son of the Devil, full of all guile and of all cunning, enemy of all righteousness, will you not stop perverting the right ways of the Lord?

³⁷ You have enlarged my steps under me, and my feet have not slipped.

⁷ the steps of his strength shall be hampered; and his own counsel shall tumble him. ⁸ For he is sent into a net by his own feet; and he is walking on a snare;

³⁶ You have made a wide place under me for my steps, so that my ankles have not slipped.

¹¹ For He shall give His angels charge over You, to keep You in all Your ways. ¹² They shall bear You up in their hands, that You not dash Your foot on a stone.

¹⁶⁵ Great peace is to those who love Your law, and there is no stumblingblock to them.

²³ then you shall walk in your way safely, and your foot shall not stumble.

¹⁹ The way of the wicked is as darkness; they do not know at what they stumble.

²² When you go, it shall lead you; when you sleep, it shall watch over you; and when you awaken, it will meditate with you.

⁹ They shall come with weeping, and I will lead them with prayers. I will cause them to walk by rivers of waters, in a right way; they will not stumble in it. For I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is My first-born.

⁹ Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble because he sees the light of the world. ¹⁰ But if anyone walks in the night, he stumbles because the light is not in him.

³² Why? Because it was not of faith, but as of works of Law. For they stumbled at the Stone-of-stumbling, ³³ as it has been written, "Behold, I place in" "Zion a Stone-of-stumbling," "and a Rock-of-offense," "and everyone believing on Him will not be put to shame." LXX and MT-Isa. 28:16; MT-Isa. 8:14

⁸ and a Stone-of-stumbling, and a Rock-of-offense" to those disobeying, stumbling at the word, to which they were also appointed. Isa. 8:14

¹⁰ The one loving his brother rests in the light, and no offense is in him. ¹¹ But the one hating his brother is in the darkness, and walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness blinded his eyes.

²⁶ And He said, Send me away, for the dawn has ascended. And he said, I will not let you go unless You bless me.

⁴⁷ For it is not a useless Word for you, for it is your life, and by this Word you shall prolong your days in the land where you are crossing over the Jordan, there to possess it.

¹⁸ She is a tree of life to the ones who lay hold on her; and happy are the ones holding her fast.

⁴ When I had passed on from them, it was a little while until I found Him whom my soul loves. I seized Him, and I did not let Him go until I had brought Him into my mother's house, and into the room of her who conceived me.

²⁷ And beginning from Moses, and from all the prophets, He explained to them the things about Himself in all the Scriptures. ²⁸ And they drew near to the village where they were going, and He seemed to be going further. ²⁹ And they constrained Him, saying, Stay with us, for it is toward evening, and the day has declined. And He went in to stay with them.

³⁹ And many of the Samaritans out of that city believed into Him, because of the word of the woman testifying, He told me all things, whatever I did. ⁴⁰ Then as the Samaritans came to Him, they asked Him to remain with them. And He remained there two days. ⁴¹ And many more believed through His word. ⁴² And they said to the woman, We no longer believe because of your saying; for we ourselves have heard, and we know that this One is truly the Savior of the world, the Christ.

⁶⁸ Then Simon Peter answered Him, Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of everlasting life.

⁴² And they were continuing steadfastly in the doctrine of the apostles, and in fellowship, and in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.

²³ who having come, and seeing the grace of God, rejoiced. And he exhorted all with purpose of heart to abide near the Lord.

²¹ Test all things, hold fast to the good.

¹³ I know your works, and where you dwell, where the throne of Satan is . And you hold My name, and did not deny My faith even in the days in which Antipas was My faithful witness; who was killed alongside you, where Satan dwells.

¹¹ And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb, and because of the word of their testimony. And they did not love their soul even until death.

¹ Blessed is the man who has not walked in the counsel of the ungodly, and has not stood in the way of sinners and has not sat in the seat of scorners.

⁴ I have not sat with lying men; and I will not go in with hypocrites; ⁵ I have hated the assembly of evildoers, and I will not sit with the wicked.

¹⁰ My son, if sinners lure you, do not be willing.

¹⁵ My son, do not walk in the way with them! Hold back your foot from their path;

⁶ Forsake the foolish, and live, and go in the way of understanding.

²⁰ He who walks with the wise shall be wise, but one associating with fools shall be broken.

³³ Do not be led astray; bad companionships ruin good habits.

⁷ You shall keep far away from a false matter. And do not kill the innocent and the righteous; for I will not justify the wicked.

¹⁴ if iniquity is in your hand, put it far away and do not let wickedness dwell in your tents;

²³ If you return to the Almighty, you shall be built up; you shall put injustice far from your tents.

⁸ Remove your ways far from her, and do not come near to the door of her house,

⁵ Deliver yourself like a gazelle from a hand of a hunter, and as a bird from the fowler's hand.

¹⁵ He who walks righteously and speaks uprightly; he who despises the gain of oppressions, who shakes his hands free from taking the bribe, who stops his ear from hearing of blood, and shuts his eyes from looking at evil.

¹¹ And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them .

²² Keep back from every appearance of evil.

⁴ He plots evil on his bed; he sets himself on a way that is not good; he does not hate evil.

¹⁶ for their feet run to evil and they haste to shed blood.

²⁰ But the wicked are like the driven sea, which cannot be quiet, and its waves cast up mire and dirt.

¹ Woe to those plotting wickedness and preparing evil on their beds! In the light of the morning they practice it, because it is in the power of their hand.

⁶⁶ And when day came, the body of elders of the people, the chief priests and scribes, were gathered. And they led Him away into their sanhedrin, saying,

²⁸ Then they led Jesus from Caiaphas into the praetorium, and it was early. And they did not enter into the praetorium that they might not be defiled, but that they might eat the Passover.

¹⁴ having eyes full of an adulteress, and never ceasing from sin; alluring unsettled souls; having a heart busied with covetousness; cursed children;

⁵ Behold, like wild asses in the desert, they go out in their work, seeking early for prey; the desert yields food for him for their young. ⁶ They reap his fodder in the field, and they glean the wicked's vineyard.

⁴ Have all evildoers not known, eating My people as they eat bread? They have not called on Jehovah.

¹⁷ Stolen waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant.

¹⁷ Bread of deceit is sweet to a man, but afterwards his mouth shall be filled with gravel.

²⁶ For among My people are found wicked ones. They lie in wait, as one who sets snares. They set a trap, they catch men. ²⁷ Like a cage full of birds, so their houses are full of treachery. On account of this they have become great and grown rich. ²⁸ They have become fat; they shine. Yes, they pass over the deeds of the evil; they do not plead the cause, the cause of the orphan, that they may prosper. And they do not vindicate the right of the needy.

²⁵ A plot by her prophets is in her midst, like a roaring lion tearing prey. They have devoured souls and they have taken the riches and gems. They multiplied her widows in her midst. ²⁶ Her priests have violated My law and have profaned My holy things. They have not divided between the holy and the common, and between the unclean and clean they have not taught. And they have hidden their eyes from the sabbaths, and I am profaned among them. ²⁷ Her rulers in her midst are like wolves tearing prey, to shed blood, to destroy souls, in order to gain unjust gain. ²⁸ And her prophets have daubed themselves with lime, seeing empty visions, and divining lies to them, saying, So says the Lord Jehovah, when Jehovah has not spoken. ²⁹ The people of the land have used oppression and practiced robbery. And they troubled the poor and the needy, and they have oppressed the stranger without justice.

⁴ Hear this, you who swallow up the poor, even to make the humble of the land to cease, ⁵ saying, When will the new moon have passed, so that we may buy grain? Or the sabbath, so that we may open the wheat, making smaller the ephah, and to enlarge the shekel, and to falsify the deceitful balances, ⁶ in order to buy the helpless with silver, and the poor for a pair of sandals, and sell the chaff of the wheat?

⁵ So says Jehovah concerning the prophets who make My people err, who bite with their teeth and call out, Peace! And whoever does not give for their mouth, they even sanctify a war against him.

¹² For her rich ones are full of violence, and her inhabitants speak a lie, and their tongue is deceit in their mouth.

³ Her rulers within her are roaring lions; her judges are evening wolves; they do not gnaw bones for the morning.

¹³ But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of Heaven before men; for you do not enter, nor do you allow those entering to go in.

⁴ Behold, the wages of the workmen who have reaped your fields cry out, being kept back by you. And the cries of the ones who have reaped have entered "into the ears of the Lord of Hosts." Isa. 5:9 ⁵ You lived luxuriously on the earth, and lived in self gratification; you nourished your hearts as in a day of slaughter;

⁴ is as the light of the morning, as the sun shines; a morning without clouds; through shining after rain the tender grass sprouts from the earth.

¹⁷ and your lifetime shall rise more than the noonday; you shall fly; you shall be as the morning.

¹⁰ But He knows the way with me. When I am tried, I shall come forth as gold.

⁷ They go from strength to strength, being seen in Zion before God.

⁷ The path for the just is uprightness. Upright One, level the track of the just.

³ Then we shall know, we who follow on to know Jehovah. His going forth is established as the dawn. And He shall come to us as the rain, as the latter and former rain to the earth.

⁶ And it will be in that day, there shall not be light; the glorious ones will shrink. ⁷ And it will be, one day which shall be known to Jehovah; not day and not night, but it will be, there will be light at evening time.

¹⁴ You are the light of the world. A city situated on a mountain cannot be hidden.

¹⁶ So let your light shine before men, so that they may see your good works, and may glorify your Father in Heaven.

⁴⁵ so that you may become sons of your Father in Heaven. Because He causes the sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and unjust.

¹² Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, I am the Light of the world. The one following Me will in no way walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.

¹⁸ But we all with our face having been unveiled, having beheld the glory of the Lord in a mirror, are being changed into the same image from glory to glory, as from the Lord Spirit.

¹⁵ that you may be blameless and harmless, children of God, without fault in the midst of a crooked generation, even having been perverted, among whom you shine as luminaries in the world,

¹⁹ and we have the more established prophetic word, in which you do well to take heed, as to a lamp shining in a murky place, until day dawns and the Day-star rises in your hearts;

¹⁸ But grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.

²³ And the city had no need of the sun, nor of the moon, that they might shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it, even its lamp is the Lamb.

⁵ And night will not be there; and they have no need of a lamp or a light of the sun, because the Lord God will shed light on them. And they shall reign forever and ever.

⁹ He keeps the feet of His saints, and the wicked are silenced in darkness; for man does not become mighty by power.

¹⁴ They meet with darkness by day, and grope in the noonday as in the night.

²⁵ They grope in the dark, and there is no light; and He makes them stagger like a drunkard.

⁵ Yes, the light of the wicked shall be put out; and the spark of his fire shall not blaze. ⁶ The light shall be dark in his tent; and his lamp shall be put out above him;

¹⁸ They push him from light to darkness, and they make him flee from the world.

¹³ those who leave the paths of uprightness to walk in the ways of darkness,

⁹ For this reason justice is far from us; and righteousness does not overtake us. We wait for light, but, behold, dimness; for brightness, but we walk in gloom. ¹⁰ We grope for the wall like the blind, and we grope as if we had no eyes; we stumble at noonday as in the twilight, in deserted places like the dead.

¹⁶ Give glory to Jehovah your God before He brings darkness, and before your feet stumble on the dark mountains. Yea, while you look for light, He puts it into death shade, setting up deep gloom.

¹² So their way shall be to them as slippery places in the darkness; they shall be driven out and fall by it. For I will bring evil on them, the year of their judgment, says Jehovah.

²³ And then I will declare to them, I never knew you; "depart from Me, those working lawlessness!" Psa. 6:8

¹⁴ Leave them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind; and if the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit.

¹⁰ But if anyone walks in the night, he stumbles because the light is not in him.

³⁵ Then Jesus said to them, Yet a little while the Light is with you. Walk while you have the Light, that darkness not overtake you. And the one walking in the darkness does not know where he is going.

¹¹ But the one hating his brother is in the darkness, and walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness blinded his eyes.

¹ A Lesson of Asaph. O my people, listen to my law; bow your ears to the words of my mouth.

¹² So teach us to number our days, so that we may bring a heart of wisdom.

²⁰ My son, keep your father's commands, and do not forsake the law of your mother. ²¹ Tie them to your heart forever; tie them around your neck.

¹ My son, keep my words and store up my commands within you.

⁵ While he was yet speaking, behold, a radiant cloud overshadowed them. And, behold, a voice out of the cloud saying, This is My Son, the Beloved, in whom I delight; hear Him. Psa. 2:7; Gen. 22:2; Isa. 42:1; Deut. 18:15

⁸ I delight to do Your will, O My God; and Your law is within My inmost soul .

³ Mercy and truth will not forsake you; tie them on your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart;

²¹ My son, do not let them depart from your eyes; keep sound wisdom and judgment,

¹ My son, keep my words and store up my commands within you. ² Keep my commands and live, and my law as the pupil of your eye.

⁸ Healing shall be to your navel and marrow to your bones.

¹⁰ Oh my son, hear and receive my sayings, and the years of your life shall be many.

¹⁸ There is a rash speaking like thrusts of a sword, but the tongue of the wise heals.

⁶ Behold, I will bring health and healing to it, and I will heal them and will show them the abundance of peace and truth.

²³ Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me, and know my thoughts; ²⁴ and see if any wicked way is in me; and lead me in the way everlasting.

⁷ Wisdom is the main thing; get wisdom, and with all your getting, get understanding.

¹⁶ A gracious woman holds to honor, and terrifying men hold to riches.

³ He who guards his mouth keeps his life; he who opens his lips wide is ruined.

⁵ Thorns and snares are in the way of the perverse, he who keeps his soul shall be far from them.

¹⁹ My son, hear you, and be wise, and advance your heart in the way.

²⁶ He who trusts in his own heart is a fool, but he who walks in wisdom shall be delivered.

¹³ There is a painful evil which I have seen under the sun: riches being kept for their owner to his evil;

⁹ The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is incurable; who can know it?

³⁴ Offspring of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. ³⁵ The good man out of the good treasure of the heart puts forth good things. And the evil man out of the evil treasure puts forth evil things.

¹⁹ For out of the heart come forth evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, lies, blasphemies.

²¹ For from within, out of the heart of men, pass out the evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, ²² thefts, greedy desires, iniquities, deceit, lustful desires, a wicked eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. ²³ All these evil things pass out from within and defile the man.

³⁸ Watch and pray, that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit truly is willing, but the flesh is weak.

⁴⁵ The good man brings forth good out of the good treasure of his heart. And the evil man brings forth evil out of the evil treasure of his heart, for his mouth speaks out of the abundance of his heart.

¹⁵ watching diligently that not any lack from the grace of God, that "no root of bitterness growing up" may crowd "in on you ", and through this many be defiled; Deut. 29:18

¹⁴ But each one is tempted by his own lusts, having been drawn out and having been seduced by them . ¹⁵ Then being conceived, lust brings forth sin. And sin being fully formed brings forth death.

¹² A worthless person, a wicked man, walks with a perverse mouth,

⁸ All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; nothing crooked or perverse is in them;

¹³ The fear of Jehovah is to hate evil; I hate pride and loftiness, and the evil way, and the perverse mouth.

²⁰ One crooked of heart does not find good, and he who is perverse in his tongue falls into evil.

³¹ Cast away all your transgressions from you by which you have transgressed in them, and make for yourselves a new heart and a new spirit; for why will you die, O house of Israel?

²⁵ Therefore, putting off the false," speak truth each with his neighbor," because we are members of one another. Zech. 8:16 ²⁶ "Be angry but do not sin;" do not let the sun go down on your wrath, LXX-Psa. 4:4; MT-Psa. 4:5 ²⁷ nor give place to the Devil. ²⁸ The one stealing, let him steal no more, but rather let him labor, working what is good with the hands, that he may have something to give to the one that has need. ²⁹ Let not any filthy word go out of your mouth, but if any is good to building up in respect to the need, that it may give grace to the ones hearing. ³⁰ And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed to the day of redemption. ³¹ Let all bitterness, and anger, and wrath, and tumult, and evil speaking be put away from you, along with all evil things.

⁸ But now, you also, put off all these things: wrath, anger, malice, evil-speaking, shameful speech out of your mouth.

⁵ meddling, of men whose mind has been corrupted and deprived of the truth, supposing gain to be godliness. Withdraw from such persons .

²¹ On account of this, having put aside all filthiness and overflowing of evil, in meekness receive the implanted Word being able to save your souls.

²⁶ If anyone thinks to be religious among you, yet not bridling his tongue, but deceiving his heart, this one's religion is vain.

¹ Then having laid aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil words,

¹ I made a covenant with my eyes; how then could I look intently on a virgin?

³⁷ Turn my eyes from seeing vanity; in Your way give me life.

⁵ Will your eyes fly on it? And it is not! For surely it makes wings for itself, it flies into the heavens like an eagle.

³³ Your eyes shall look on strange women, and your heart shall speak perverse things;

²² The lamp of the body is the eye. Then if your eye is sound, all your body is light.

²³ The steps of a man are ordered from Jehovah, and He will delight in his way.

² And He drew me up from the pit of tumult, out of the miry clay; He set my feet on a rock; He directed my steps.

⁵ O that my ways were fixed to keep Your statutes!

⁵⁹ I mused on my ways and turned my feet to Your testimonies.

⁶ lest you should meditate on the path of life, her tracks are movable, you cannot know them.

²¹ For the ways of man are before the eyes of Jehovah, and He ponders all his tracks.

²⁸ Because he considers and turns from all his transgressions that he has done, surely he shall live; he shall not die.

¹⁵ Then watch how carefully you walk, not as unwise, but as wise ones,

¹⁷ For this reason, do not be foolish, but understanding what the will of the Lord is .

¹³ in order to establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and our Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints.

³ But the Lord is faithful who will establish and will guard you from the evil.

¹³ "and make straight tracks for your feet," that the lame not be turned aside, but rather healed. Isa. 35:3; Prov. 4:26

¹⁰ Now the God of all grace, the One calling you to His eternal glory in Christ Jesus, you having suffered a little, He Himself will perfect, confirm, strengthen, establish you .

³² And you shall be careful to do as Jehovah your God has commanded you; you shall not turn aside to the right or left.

³² All the things that I command you, take heed to do them and you shall not add to it, nor take away from it.

¹⁴ And you shall not turn away from all the words which I am commanding you today, right or left, to go after other gods, to serve them.

⁷ Only be strong and very brave, so that you may take heed to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you. Do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may act wisely wherever you go.

¹⁷ The way of the upright is to turn away from evil, he keeping his soul watches his way.

¹⁶ Wash yourselves, purify yourselves. Put away the evil of your doings from My sight; stop doing evil.

⁹ Let love be without dissimulation, shrinking from evil, cleaving to the good,
