³ Who shall go up into the hill of Jehovah? And who shall stand in His holy place?

³ And Moses said to Aaron, It is that which Jehovah has spoken, saying, I will be sanctified by those drawing near to Me; and I will be honored before all the people. And Aaron was silent.

¹² And it was told to king David, saying, Jehovah has blessed the house of Obed-edom and all is his, because of the ark of God. And David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obed-edom to the city of David with joy. ¹³ And it happened, when those bearing the ark of Jehovah had gone six steps, he sacrificed an ox and a fatling. ¹⁴ And David was dancing with all his might before Jehovah. And David was girded with a linen ephod. ¹⁵ And David and all the house of Israel were bringing up the ark of Jehovah with shouting, and with the sound of a ram's horn. ¹⁶ And it happened, when the ark of Jehovah had come to the city of David, and Michal the daughter of Saul looked through the window and saw king David leaping and dancing before Jehovah, she despised him in her heart. ¹⁷ And they brought the ark of Jehovah in, and set it up in its place, in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it. And David caused burnt offerings to be offered before Jehovah, and peace offerings.

¹ And he built houses for himself in the City of David, and prepared a place for the ark of God, and stretched out a tent for it.

²⁵ And it was David, and the elders of Israel, and the commanders of the thousands, who were going to bring up the ark of the covenant of Jehovah from the house of Obededom with joy. ²⁶ And it happened, as God helped the Levites carrying the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, they sacrificed seven bullocks and seven rams. ²⁷ And David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and all the Levites that carried the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah, the master of the song with the singers. David also had an ephod of linen on him. ²⁸ And all Israel was bringing up the ark of the covenant of Jehovah with shouting, and with the sound of a horn, and with trumpets, and cymbals, sounding aloud with lyres and harps.

⁶ Yea, I have set My king on My holy mount on Zion.

¹ A Psalm of David. O Jehovah, who shall dwell in Your tabernacle? Who shall live in Your holy mountain?

⁴ Blessed is the one You choose and cause to come near You; he shall dwell in Your courts; we shall be satisfied with the goodness of Your house, Your holy temple.

¹⁵ The mountain of Bashan is God's mountain; the Bashan range is a mountain of peaks. ¹⁶ Why do you gaze in envy, O mountain range, at the mountain God desired for His dwelling? Yea, Jehovah will dwell in it forever.

¹⁸ You have gone up on high; You have led captivity captive; You have received gifts among men; yea, to dwell among the rebellious, O Jehovah God.

⁶⁸ But He chose the tribe of Judah, the Mount Zion which He loved. ⁶⁹ And He built His sanctuary like high places, like the earth He has founded forever.

¹³ Jehovah has chosen Zion; He has desired it for His dwelling-place. ¹⁴ This is My rest till forever; I will dwell here; I have desired it.

¹ Behold, I am sending My messenger, and He will clear the way before Me. And the Lord whom you are seeking shall suddenly come to His temple, even the Angel of the Covenant, in whom you delight. Behold, He comes, says Jehovah of hosts.

³⁶ Simon Peter said to Him, Lord, where do You go? Jesus answered him, Where I go you are not able to follow Me now, but afterwards you shall follow Me.

¹⁷ Jesus said to her, Do not touch Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father. But go to My brothers and say to them, I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and My God, and your God.

⁸ Because of this, He says, "Having gone up on high, He led captivity captive," and gave "gifts to men." Psa. 68:18 ⁹ But that He went up, what is it except that He also first came down into the lower parts of the earth? ¹⁰ He that came down is the same who also went up above all the heavens, that He might fill all things.

²² But you have drawn near Mount Zion, even the city of the living God, to a heavenly Jerusalem, and to myriads of angels, ²³ and to an assembly, a church of the first-born ones having been enrolled in Heaven; and to God the judge of all, and to spirits of just ones who have been perfected; ²⁴ and to Jesus the Mediator of a new covenant, and to blood of sprinkling speaking better things than that of Abel.

²⁸ For this reason, receiving an unshakable kingdom, let us have grace, by which we may serve God pleasingly, with reverence and awe;
