¹⁰ Why should the nations say, Where is their God? Let Him be known among the nations before our eyes, the avenging of the blood of Your servants that has been poured out.

⁷ And I will take you for Myself for a people, and I will be a God for you. And you shall know that I am Jehovah your God, the One bringing you out from under the burdens of Egypt.

⁵ And the Egyptians shall know that I am Jehovah when I send forth My hand on Egypt and bring out the sons of Israel from their midst.

¹ O Jehovah, God of vengeance; O God of vengeance, shine forth!

² Why do the nations say, Where is their God now?

³⁵ The violence done to me and to my flesh is on Babylon, the dweller in Zion shall say. And Jerusalem shall say, My blood shall be on the dwellers of Chaldea.

²³ And I will sanctify My great name which was profaned among the nations, which you profaned among them. And the nations shall know that I am Jehovah, declares the Lord Jehovah, when I am sanctified in you in their eyes.

²¹ And I will put My glory among the nations, and all the nations shall see My judgments which I have done, and My hand that I have laid on them. ²² So the house of Israel shall know that I am Jehovah their God, from that day and onward.

¹⁷ Let the priests, ministers of Jehovah, weep between the porch and the altar; and let them say, Have pity on Your people, O Jehovah, and do not give Your inheritance to shame, for a proverb among those of the nations. Why should they say among the peoples, Where is their God?

¹⁰ And my enemy shall see; and shame shall cover her, the one saying to me, Where is He, Jehovah your God? My eyes shall look on her. Now she shall be for a trampling, as the mud of the streets.

¹⁹ not avenging yourselves, beloved, but giving place to wrath, for it has been written, "Vengeance is Mine," "I will repay," says the Lord. Deut. 32:35

²⁰ Rejoice over her, Heaven, and the holy apostles, and the prophets, because God judged your judgment on her.
