¹⁷ Yet mine eyes spared them, so as [not] to destroy them utterly, and I did not make an end of them in the wilderness.

¹⁰ And David said to Saul, Why do you listen to the words of the people, saying, Behold, David seeks your life?

¹⁹ Yet you in your great compassions did not forsake them in the wilderness: you did not turn away from them the pillar of the cloud by day, to guide them in the way, nor the pillar of fire by night, to enlighten for them the way wherein they should walk.

²⁷ Thus says the Lord, The whole land shall be desolate; but I will not make a full end.

¹⁸ And it shall come to pass in those days, says the Lord your God, that I will not utterly destroy you.

² Thus says the Lord; An end is come to the land of Israel, the end is come on the four corners of the land.

¹⁸ Therefore will I deal with them in wrath: mine eye shall not spare, nor will I have any mercy.

¹⁰ Therefore mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have any mercy: I have recompensed their ways upon their heads.

⁸ But with an overrunning flood he will make an utter end: darkness shall pursue those that rise up against [him] and his enemies. ⁹ What do you⌃ devise against the Lord? he will make a complete end: he will not take vengeance by affliction twice at the same time.
