⁴ Then I said, I have laboured in vain, I have given my strength for vanity and for nothing: therefore is my judgment with the Lord, and my labor before my God.

²⁰ And your strength shall be in vain; and your land shall not yield its seed, and the tree of your field shall not yield its fruit.

⁴ Comfort one another, you⌃ faint-hearted; be strong, fear not; behold, our God renders judgment, and he will render [it]; he will come and save us.

¹⁰ Behold the Lord! The Lord is coming with strength, and [his] arm is with power: behold, his reward is with him, and [his] work before him.

¹⁰ The Lord also is pleased to purge him from his stroke. If you⌃ can give an offering for sin, your soul shall see a long-lived seed: ¹¹ the Lord also is pleased to take away from the travail of his soul, to show him light, and to form [him] with understanding; to justify the just one who serves many well; and he shall bear their sins. ¹² Therefore he shall inherit many, and he shall divide the spoils of the mighty; because his soul was delivered to death: and he was numbered among the transgressors; and he bore the sins of many, and was delivered because of their iniquities.

¹¹ For behold, the Lord has proclaimed to the end of the earth, say you⌃ to the daughter of Sion, Behold, your Saviour has come to you, having his reward and his work before his face.

² I have stretched forth my hands all day to a disobedient and gainsaying people, to them that walked in a way that was not good, but after their sins.

²³ My chosen shall not toil in vain, neither shall they beget children to be cursed; for they are a seed blessed of God, and their offspring with them.

¹⁹ But if you warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, and from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity, and you shall deliver your soul.
