¹⁷ Then we, who are alive, and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet our LORD in the air: and so shall we ever be with our LORD.

³⁹ And when they came up from the water, the Spirit of the LORD caught Philip away and the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.

⁵² In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

⁸ This is why we are confident, and anxious to be absent from the body, and to be present with our LORD.

² I knew a man in Christ more than fourteen years ago, but whether I knew him in the body or without the body, I do not know: God knows; this very one was caught up to the third heaven. ³ And I still know this man, but whether in the body or whether without the body, I cannot tell; God knows; ⁴ How that he was caught up to paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.

²³ For I am drawn between two desires, the one to depart, that I may be with Christ, which is far better:

¹⁵ For this we say to you by the very word of our LORD, that we who are alive and remain unto the coming of our LORD shall not overtake those who are dead.

¹³ Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, in which dwells righteousness.

⁷ Behold he comes with the clouds; and every eye shall see him, even the men who pierced him: and all the kindreds of the earth shall wail over him. Even so, Amen.

¹⁴ And I said to him, My LORD, you know. And he said to me, These are those who came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. ¹⁵ Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple; and he who sits on the throne shall shelter them. ¹⁶ They shall hunger no more; neither thirst anymore; neither shall they be stricken by the sun, nor by the heat. ¹⁷ For the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne shall shepherd them, and shall lead them to fountains of living water. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

¹² And they heard a great voice from heaven saying to them, Come up here. And they went up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies saw them.

⁵ And she brought forth a male child, who was to shepherd all the nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up to God, and to his throne.

³ And I heard a great voice from heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and the very God shall be with them, and be their God; ⁴ And he shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow nor wailing, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things have passed away. ⁵ And he who sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. Then he said to me, Write: for these are the trustworthy and true words of God. ⁶ And he said to me, I am Aleph and Tau, Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will freely give of the fountain of living water to him who is thirsty. ⁷ He who overcomes shall inherit these things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

²² But I saw no temple therein: for the LORD Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. ²³ The city has no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God lightens it, and the Lamb is the lamp of it.

³ And that which drops shall be no more: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: ⁴ And they shall see his face; and his name shall be on their foreheads. ⁵ And there shall be no night there; and they shall neither need a candle, nor the light of the sun; for the LORD God shines on them: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
