²⁸ And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

⁶ For whom the LORD loves, he chastens him, and disciplines the sons with whom he is pleased. ⁷ Now, therefore, endure discipline, because God acts toward you as towards sons; for where is the son whom the father does not discipline? ⁸ But if you are without discipline, that very discipline by which every man is trained, then you are strangers and not sons. ⁹ Furthermore if our fathers of the flesh corrected us and we respected them, how much more then should we willingly be under subjection to our Spiritual Father, and live? ¹⁰ For they only for a short while, disciplined us as seemed good to them; but God corrects us for our advantage, that we might become partakers of his holiness. ¹¹ No discipline, at the time, is expected to be a thing of joy, but of sorrow; but in the end it produces the fruits of peace and righteousness to those who are trained by it.

³⁴ Already I have seen the affliction of my people in Egypt, I have heard their groans, and I have come down to deliver them. And now come, I will send you into Egypt.

³⁸ But when the laborers saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him and retain his inheritance.

⁴ And his tail cut off a third of the stars of heaven and cast them to the earth; and the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to be delivered, so as to devour her child as soon as it was born.

²⁸ Do not be afraid of those who kill the body, but who cannot kill the soul; but above all, be afraid of him who can destroy both the soul and the body in hell.

⁵ But I will show you of whom to be afraid; of him who after he has killed has the power to throw into hell; yes, I say to you, Fear him.

¹⁸ And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus. ¹⁹ But Simon Peter and John answered and said to them, Whether it be right before God to listen to you more than to God, you judge. ²⁰ For we cannot stop speaking about the things which we have seen and heard.

⁴² Anyone who gives a drink to one of these little ones, if only a cup of cold water, in the name of a disciple, truly I say to you, he shall never lose his reward.

⁴⁰ The king then will answer and say to them, Truly I tell you, Inasmuch as you have done it to one of these least brethren, you did it to me.

⁵⁰ And his mercy is for centuries and generations, upon those who fear him.

¹⁰ For God is not unjust to forget your works and your labor of love which you have made known in his name, for you have ministered to the saints and still do minister.

⁴ And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood. ⁵ Then I heard the angel who has charge over waters say, You are righteous, O Holy One, who is and was, because you have condemned them. ⁶ For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and you have given them blood to drink; for they are worthy.
