³⁴ The lamp of your body is your eye; when therefore your eye is clear, your whole body will also be lighted; but if it is diseased, your whole body will also be dark.

¹² For our joy is this, the testimony of our conscience, in sincerity and in purity with the grace of God, we have conducted ourselves in this world, and not through the wisdom of the flesh; and above all, we have so dealt with you.

⁴ To those in this world whose minds have been blinded by God, because they did not believe, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the likeness of God, should shine on them.

³ But I am afraid, that just as the serpent through his deceitfulness misled Eve, so your minds should be corrupted from the sincerity that is in Christ.

¹⁷ So that the God of our LORD Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

⁵ Servants, be obedient to your masters according to the flesh, with reverence and trembling, and with a sincere heart, as to Christ;

²² Servants, obey your human masters in all things, not with eyeservice, as men pleasers; but with a sincere heart, in fear of the LORD.

⁹ Even him, whose coming is due to the working of Satan, with all power and signs and lying wonders, ¹⁰ And with all deceitfulness of unrighteousness in those who perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved thereby. ¹¹ For this cause God shall send them strong delusion that they should believe a lie. ¹² That they all, who did not believe in the truth but preferred unrighteousness, might be damned.
