¹³ It will be to you for a testimony.

¹² Now I would have you know this, my brethren, that my work has been greatly furthered by the gospel;

²⁸ And that in nothing are you terrified by our adversaries, whose conduct is the sign of their own destruction, but your salvation, and this is from God.

³ So that no man among you might be disheartened by these tribulations: for you, yourselves, know that this is our destiny. ⁴ For verily when we were with you, we told you before, that we should suffer tribulations; even as it has come to pass, and as you know.

⁵ As an example of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be made worthy of his kingdom, for which you also suffer.
