¹³ And I heard a voice from heaven saying, Write, Blessed are the dead who die in the LORD from henceforth: Yes, says the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours, for their works will follow them.

¹⁷ And behold, a voice from heaven, which said, This is my beloved Son, with whom I am pleased.

³⁵ For I was hungry, and you gave me to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me to drink; I was a stranger and you took me in; ³⁶ I was naked, and you covered me; I was sick, and you visited me; I was in prison, and you came to me. ³⁷ Then the righteous will say to him, Our Lord, when did we see you hungry, and feed you? or thirsty and gave you drink? ³⁸ And when did we see you a stranger, and took you in? Or that you were naked, and covered you? ³⁹ And when did we see you sick, or in the prison, and come to you? ⁴⁰ The king then will answer and say to them, Truly I tell you, Inasmuch as you have done it to one of these least brethren, you did it to me.

⁹ And I also say, use this earthly wealth, however acquired, to make friends so that when it is gone, they will receive you and you will have everlasting habitation.

²⁵ Abraham said to him, My son, remember you received your pleasures when you were living, and Lazarus his hardships; and behold now he is comfortable here, and you are suffering.

⁸ For whether we live, we live unto our LORD; and whether we die, we die unto our LORD: whether we live therefore, or die, we belong to our LORD.

¹⁸ And also, then, those who have died in Christ have perished.

⁵⁸ Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the LORD, for as much as you know that your labor is not in vain in the LORD.

⁸ This is why we are confident, and anxious to be absent from the body, and to be present with our LORD.

⁷ Do not be deceived; God is not deceived: for whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap. ⁸ He who sows things of the flesh, from the flesh shall reap corruption; he who sows things of the Spirit, from the Spirit shall reap life everlasting.

²¹ For Christ is my life, and to die is gain. ²² Even if, in this life of the flesh, my labors bear fruits, I do not know what to choose. ²³ For I am drawn between two desires, the one to depart, that I may be with Christ, which is far better:

¹⁷ Yes, even if my blood be offered upon the sacrifice and the service of your faith, I am happy and rejoice with you all.

¹⁴ For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so those who have died in Jesus, God will bring with him.

¹⁶ For our LORD himself shall descend from heaven with a shout and the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God; and those who died in Christ will rise first.

¹⁰ Who died for us, that whether we awake or sleep, we shall live together with him.

⁶ And if it seems a righteous thing, before the presence of God, he will recompense tribulation to those who oppress you; ⁷ And to you who are oppressed, he shall grant to be at peace with us, when our LORD Jesus Christ shall be revealed from heaven with the host of his angels,

⁷ I have fought a good fight, I have finished my race, I have kept my faith: ⁸ Henceforth there is preserved for me a crown of righteousness, which my LORD, the righteous judge, will give me at that day: and not to me only but also to all those who eagerly await his appearance. ⁹ It is therefore the duty of the people of God to keep the Sabbath. ¹⁰ For he who has entered into his rest, he also has ceased from his own works, as God did from his. ¹¹ Let us strive therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall like those who were disobedient.

¹⁰ For God is not unjust to forget your works and your labor of love which you have made known in his name, for you have ministered to the saints and still do minister. ¹¹ We desire that every one of you show the same diligence toward the fulfillment of your hope, even unto the end,

¹¹ What you see, write in a book, and send it to the seven churches; to EphÆe-sus, and to Smyrna, and to PerÆga-mos, and to Thy-atiÆra, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to La-od-i-ceÆa.

¹ TO the angel * of the church of EphÆesus write: These things says the Omnipotent; who holds the seven stars in his right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;

¹¹ And a white robe was given to every one of them; and it was said to them, that they should rest yet for a little while, until the time should be fulfilled when their fellowservants and their brethren should be killed also as they had been.

¹⁴ And I said to him, My LORD, you know. And he said to me, These are those who came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. ¹⁵ Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple; and he who sits on the throne shall shelter them. ¹⁶ They shall hunger no more; neither thirst anymore; neither shall they be stricken by the sun, nor by the heat. ¹⁷ For the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne shall shepherd them, and shall lead them to fountains of living water. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

⁴ And when the seven thunders had spoken, I was about to write: but I heard a voice from heaven saying, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and do not write them.

¹⁵ And the seventh angel sounded, and there were great sounds of thunders, saying, The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdom of our LORD, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

¹⁹ And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his covenant; and there were lightnings, and thunderings, and voices, and an earthquake, and a great hailstorm.

¹⁷ Then the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple from the throne, saying, It is done.

⁹ And he said to me, Write, Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding feast of the Lamb. Then he said to me, These words of mine are the true sayings of God.

⁶ Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection: over them the second death has no power, but they shall be the priests of God and of his Christ, and they shall reign with him a thousand years.

⁵ And he who sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. Then he said to me, Write: for these are the trustworthy and true words of God.
