¹⁵ But the measure of the gift of God was not the measure of the fall. If therefore, because of the fall of one, many died, how much more will the grace and gift of God, because of one man, Jesus Christ, be increased ?

²⁸ Just as the Son of man did not come to be ministered to, but to minister, and to give his life as a salvation for the sake of many.

¹⁶ And the effect of the gift of God was greater than the effect of the offence of Adam: for while the judgment from one manÆs offence resulted in condemnation of many, the gift of God in forgiveness of sins resulted in righteousness to many more. ¹⁷ For if by one manÆs offence, death reigned, how much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ. ¹⁸ In like manner as by one manÆs offence, condemnation came upon all men, even so by the righteousness of one man, will the victory unto life be to all men. ¹⁹ For as by one manÆs disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one man, shall many be made righteous. ²⁰ The introduction of the law caused sin to increase, and when sin had increased, grace became abundant.

²³ For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through our LORD Jesus Christ.

¹⁵ Thanks be to God for his incomparable gift.

⁸ For it is by grace that you are saved through faith; not of your doing: it is the gift of God: ⁹ We see that he is Jesus who humbled himself to be a little lower than the angels, through his suffering and his death, but now he is crowned with glory and honor; for he tasted death for the sake of every one but God.

² And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

⁹ By this was the love of God toward us made known, for God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. ¹⁰ Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that God loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

¹¹ And this is the testimony, that God has given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

⁹ After these things, I beheld, and lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of every nation and people, and kindred and tongue, stood before the throne, and in the presence of the Lamb, clothed with white robes and with palms in their hands; ¹⁰ And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God, who sits upon the throne, and to the Lamb.

¹⁴ And I said to him, My LORD, you know. And he said to me, These are those who came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. ¹⁵ Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple; and he who sits on the throne shall shelter them. ¹⁶ They shall hunger no more; neither thirst anymore; neither shall they be stricken by the sun, nor by the heat. ¹⁷ For the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne shall shepherd them, and shall lead them to fountains of living water. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
