² Judah mourneth, and her gates languish; they lie grieved on the ground; and the distressed cry of Jerusalem ascendeth upward.

³⁴ Wail, ye shepherds, and cry; and roll yourselves about in the dust, ye leaders of the flocks; for full are your days for you to be slaughtered, and I will scatter you; and you shall fall like a costly vessel.

³ There is a voice of crying from Choronayim, destruction and a great breach.

¹⁹ As if a man were to flee from a lion, and a bear should meet him; and he enter into the house, and lean his hand against the wall, and a serpent should bite him.
