¹¹ For the work of a son of earth doth he recompense unto him, and according to the path of man doth he permit things to occur to him.

²⁶ He will offer his entreaty unto God, and he will receive him in favor, that he may see his face with joy: so doth He recompense unto the mortal his righteousness.

^{12 (62:13)} And unto thee, O Lord, belongeth kindness; for thou wilt recompense every man according to his works.

³¹ Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and from their own counsels shall they be satisfied.

¹² If thou shouldst say, Behold, we know not this man: lo, he that weigheth hearts will truly regard it, and he that keepeth thy soul will surely know it; and he will give a recompense to man according to his doing.

¹⁹ Great in counsel, and mighty in execution: thou whose eyes are open over all the ways of the sons of man, to give unto every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings;

¹⁷ Yet say the children of thy people, The way of the Lord is not equitable: while, as to them, their way is not equitable. ¹⁸ When the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and doth what is wrong, he shall even die therefore. ¹⁹ And when the wicked returneth from his wickedness, and executeth justice and righteousness, he shall surely live therefore. ²⁰ Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equitable. Every one after his own ways will I judge you, O house of Israel.
