¹² And Micah consecrated the Levite; and the young man became his priest, and remained in the house of Micah.

⁵ And he spoke unto Korach and unto all his company, saying, Tomorrow,—then will the Lord make known who is his, and who is holy, that he may cause them to come near unto him; and him whom he shall choose will he cause to come near unto him.

³⁰ And the children of Dan erected for themselves the graven image: and Jonathan, the son of Gershom, the son of Menasseh, he and his sons were priests to the tribe of Dan until the day of the exile of the land.

³¹ And he made a house of the high-places, and made priests of the lowest of the people, who were not of the sons of Levi.

³³ After this event Jerobo’am returned not from his evil way; but made again of the lowest of the people priests of the high-places: whosoever desired it, he consecrated, that he might become one of the priests of the high-places. ³⁴ And he became through this thing the cause of sin unto the house of Jerobo’am, and to cause that it was blotted out, and destroyed from off the face of the earth.
