²³ Why is light given to a man whose way is hidden, and around whom God hath placed a fence?

⁸ My road hath he fenced up, so that I cannot pass out; and on my paths he placeth darkness.

⁹ He hath fenced up my ways with hewn stone, my paths hath he made crooked.

⁵ Up to our necks are we pursued: we are fatigued, and no rest is allowed us.

¹² And he hath accomplished his words, which he had spoken concerning us, and concerning our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil, which was never done under the whole heaven as it hath been done in Jerusalem.
