² Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, when ye come into the land of Canaan, shall this be the land that shall fall unto you for an inheritance: The land of Canaan according to its boundaries.

⁶ And Abram passed through the land unto the place of Shechem, unto the plain of Moreh; and the Canaanite was then in the land. ⁷ And the Lord appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land. And he built there an altar unto the Lord, who had appeared unto him.

¹⁵ For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed forever. ¹⁶ And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth; so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered. ¹⁷ Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for unto thee will I give it.

¹⁶ Yet the fourth generation shall come hither again; for the iniquity of the Emorites will not be full until then. ¹⁷ And it came to pass, when the sun had gone down, and it was dark, that behold a smoking furnace, and a burning flame, which passed between those pieces. ¹⁸ On the same day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates; ¹⁹ The Kenites, and the Kenizzites, and the Kadmonites, ²⁰ And the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Rephaim, ²¹ And the Emorites, and the Canaanites, and the Girgashites, and the Jebusites.

⁸ And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou sojournest, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.

⁵¹ Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye pass over the Jordan into the land of Canaan: ⁵² Then shall ye drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and ye shall destroy all their statues, and all their molten images shall ye destroy, and devastate all their high places. ⁵³ And ye shall drive out the inhabitants of the land, and ye shall dwell therein; for unto you have I given the land to possess it.

⁷ Turn you, and take your journey, and go to the mountain of the Emorites, and unto all its neighboring places, in the plain, in the mountain, and in the lowlands, and in the southern country, and by the coast of the sea, to the land of the Canaanites, and unto the Lebanon, up to the great river, the river Euphrates. ⁸ Behold, I have given up the land before you: go in and take possession of the land which the Lord hath sworn unto your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give it unto them and to their seed after them.

⁵ Thou, O Lord, art the portion of my inheritance, and my cup; thou hast drawn my lot. ⁶ My possessions are fallen in agreeable places: yea, my heritage is pleasant to me.

⁵⁴ And he brought them to his holy territory, even to this mount, which his right hand had acquired. ⁵⁵ And he drove out from before them nations, and divided them by the measuring-line as an inheritance, and he caused to dwell in their tents the tribes of Israel.

¹¹ Saying, “Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, as the portion of your inheritance.”

¹⁹ But I had thought, How shall I establish thee among the other sons of man, and give thee a desirable land, a heritage of glory of the hosts of nations? and I thought, My father thou wouldst call me, and that from me thou wouldst not turn away.

¹⁴ And ye shall inherit it, every one like the other, the land concerning which I lifted up my hand to give it unto your fathers: and this land shall fall unto you for an inheritance.
