³ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who, according to his great mercy, has regenerated us to a lively hope, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, ⁴ to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled, and unfading, preserved in the heavens for us;

¹¹ searching diligently of what things, and what kind of time, the Spirit of Christ, who was in them, did signify, when he testified before the sufferings of Christ, and the glories following these- ¹² to whom it was revealed, that, not for themselves, but for us, they ministered these things; which have now been reported to you, by them who have declared the glad tidings to you, with the Holy Spirit sent down from heaven: into which things, angels earnestly desire to look attentively.

¹⁵ but as he who has called you is holy, be you also holy;

¹⁷ And seeing you call on the Father, who, without respect of persons, judges according to every man's work-pass the time of your sojourning here, in fear;

²² Wherefore, having purified your souls by obeying the truth, through the Spirit, to unfeigned brotherly love, love one another, from a pure heart, fervently: ²³ having been regenerated, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the word of the living God, which remains.

¹ Wherefore, laying aside all malice, and all guile and hypocrisies, and envyings, and all evil speaking;

¹⁰ And may the God of all favor, who has called us to his eternal glory, by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little, himself make you complete; support, strengthen, establish you:

⁷ and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love:

⁵ and did not spare the old world, but saved Noah, the eighth, a proclaimer of righteousness, when he brought the flood upon the world of the ungodly;

¹¹ Seeing, then, all these things shall be dissolved; -what sort of persons ought you to be, in holy behavior and godliness,

¹⁵ And reckon the long-suffering of our Lord, to be for salvation; as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you.

⁹ If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

¹⁴ We know that we have passed away from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who loves not his brother, abides in death.

¹⁸ My little children, let us not love in word, nor in tongue; but in deed, and in truth. ¹⁹ For by this we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.

¹¹ Beloved, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. He who does good, is of God; but he who does evil, has not seen God.

⁵ And no deceit was found in their mouth; for they are blameless.

¹⁰ And I fell before his feet to worship him; and he said to me, See you do it not: I am a fellow-servant with you, and with your brethren who keep the testimony of Jesus. Worship God; for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

⁷ And when the thousand years shall be accomplished, Satan shall be loosed from his confinement;
