²⁶ John answered, I immerse in water, but there is one among you whom you know not.

¹¹ I, indeed, immerse you in water, into reformation; but he who comes after me, is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to carry. He will immerse you in the Holy Spirit, and in fire.

⁸ I, indeed, have immersed you in water; but he will immerse you in the Holy Spirit.

²⁵ Righteous Father, though the world knows not thee, I know thee; and these know that I have thy commission.

³ Now this is the life eternal, to know thee the only true God, and Jesus, the Messiah, thy Apostle.

⁵ For John, indeed, immersed in water, but you shall be immersed in the Holy Spirit, within a few days.

¹⁶ And I remembered the word of the Lord, how he said, John immersed in water; but you shall be immersed in the Holy Spirit.

¹ Behold how great love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! For this reason, the world does not know us, because it did not know him.
