⁴ among whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, might shine into them. ⁵ Now, we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants, for Jesus' sake. ⁶ For God, who commanded light to shine out of darkness, has shined into our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

¹⁴ Wherefore, it says, Awake, you who sleep, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine upon you.

²⁰ Moreover, we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding, that we might know him that is true; and we are in him that is true-in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and the eternal life.
