²⁴ But to them, the called-out ones, both Jews and Greeks, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God.

¹ Does not wisdom call? And does not understanding put forth her voice?

²² Jehovah possessed me from the beginning of His way, before His works of old. ²³ I was anointed from everlasting, from the beginning, before the earth ever was. ²⁴ When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no springs heavy with water. ²⁵ Before the mountains were settled, before the hills, I was brought forth. ²⁶ before He had made the earth, or the fields or the highest part of the dust of the world. ²⁷ When He prepared the heavens, I was there; when He set a circle upon the face of the deep; ²⁸ when He set the clouds above; when He made the strong fountains of the deep; ²⁹ when He gave to the sea its limit that the waters should not pass His command; when He appointed the foundations of the earth; ³⁰ even I was a workman at His side; and I was daily His delight, rejoicing always before Him;

³⁵ But wisdom has been justified by all her children.

⁴⁹ Therefore the wisdom of God also said, I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they shall slay and persecute,

⁴ who was marked out the Son of God in power, according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead;

¹⁶ For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

²⁸ And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. ²⁹ For whom He foreknew, He also predestinated to be conformed to the image of His Son, for Him to be the First-born among many brothers. ³⁰ But whom He predestinated, these He also called; and whom He called, those He also justified. And whom He justified, these He also glorified.

²⁴ whom He also called, not only us, of Jews, but also of the nations?

² to the church of God which is in Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called out with all those in every place who call on the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours.

⁹ God is faithful, by whom you were called to the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

¹⁸ For the preaching of the cross is foolishness to those being lost, but to us being saved, it is the power of God.

³⁰ But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who of God is made to us wisdom and righteousness and sanctification and redemption;

³ in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
