²⁹ so that no flesh should glory in His presence.

⁶ Those who trust in their wealth, and their many riches, boast themselves.

¹⁵ Shall the axe boast itself against him who chops with it? Shall the saw magnify itself against him who moves it? As if the rod could wave those who lift itself up! As if a staff could raise what is not wood!

²³ So says Jehovah, Do not let the wise glory in his wisdom, nor let the mighty glory in his might; do not let the rich glory in his riches;

¹⁹ But we know that whatever things the Law says, it says to those who are under the Law; so that every mouth may be stopped and all the world may be under judgment before God,

²⁷ Then where is the boasting? It is excluded. Through what law? Of works? No, but through the law of faith.

² For if Abraham was justified by works, he has a boast; but not before God.

¹⁷ Therefore I have boasting in Christ Jesus as to the things pertaining to God.

³¹ so that, according as it is written, "He who glories, let him glory in the Lord."

⁷ For who makes you to differ from another? And what do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?

⁶ Your boasting is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump?
