¹³ Do not marvel, my brothers, if the world hates you.

⁸ If you see the oppression of the poor, and violent perverting of judgment and justice in a province, do not marvel at the matter. For He who is higher than the highest watches; and there are some higher than they.

²² And you will be hated of all men for My name's sake, but the one who endures to the end shall be kept safe.

⁹ Then they will deliver you up to be afflicted and will kill you. And you will be hated of all nations for My name's sake.

¹³ And you will be hated by all for My name's sake, but he enduring to the end, that one will be kept safe.

²² Blessed are you when men shall hate you, and when they shall cut you off, and when they shall reproach you and shall cast out your name as evil, for the sake of the Son of Man.

¹⁷ And you shall be hated by all for My name's sake.

⁷ Do not marvel that I said to you, You must be born again.

⁷ The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me because I testify of it, that its works are evil.

¹⁸ If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. ¹⁹ If you were of the world, the world would love its own. But because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.

² They shall put you out of the synagogue. But an hour is coming that everyone who kills you will think that he bears God service.

³³ I have spoken these things to you so that you might have peace in Me. In the world you shall have tribulation, but be of good cheer. I have overcome the world.

¹⁴ I have given them Your Word, and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

¹² And seeing this, Peter answered the people, Men, Israelites, why do you marvel at this? Or why do you stare at us, as though we had made this man to walk by our own power or holiness?

⁷ because the carnal mind is enmity against God, for it is not subject to the Law of God, neither indeed can it be.

¹² Yea, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.

⁴ Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever desires to be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

⁷ And the angel said to me, Why did you marvel? I will tell you the mystery of the woman and of the beast that carries her, that has the seven heads and ten horns.
