⁴ For every creation of God is good, and nothing to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving.

³¹ And God saw everything that He had made, and behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

⁴ He is the Rock; His work is perfect. For all His ways are just, a God of faithfulness, and without evil; just and upright is He.

⁷ And I heard a voice saying to me, Arise, Peter! Kill and eat! ⁸ But I said, Not so, Lord, for nothing common or unclean has at any time entered into my mouth. ⁹ But the voice answered me again from the heaven, What God has made clean, you do not call common.

²⁰ but that we write to them that they should abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood. ²¹ For Moses from ages past has those in every city proclaiming him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.

²⁹ that you abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication; from which, if you keep yourselves, you shall do well. Be prospered.

²⁵ And as to the nations who believe, we joined in writing, judging them to observe no such things, except only that they keep themselves from both idol sacrifice, and blood, and a thing strangled, and from fornication.

¹⁴ I know and am persuaded in the Lord Jesus, that nothing by itself is common; except to him who esteems anything to be common, it is common.

²⁰ Do not undo the work of God for food. Truly, all things indeed are clean, but it is bad to the man eating because of a stumbling-block.

²³ All things are lawful to me, but not all things profit. All things are lawful to me, but not all things build up.

²⁵ Eat whatever is sold in the meat market, asking no question for conscience' sake;

³ forbidding to marry, saying to abstain from foods which God has created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.
