⁵ Should you not know that Jehovah, the God of Israel gave the kingdom over Israel to David forever, to him and to his sons by a covenant of salt?

¹³ And every sacrifice of your food offering shall you season with salt. And you shall not allow the salt of the covenant of your God to be lacking from your food offering. You shall offer salt with all your offerings.

¹⁹ All the heave offerings of the holy things, which the sons of Israel offer to Jehovah, I have given you and your sons and your daughters with you, by a law forever. It is a covenant of salt forever before Jehovah to you and to your seed with you.

²¹ And Jehovah, the God of Israel delivered Sihon and all his people into the hand of Israel, and they struck them. So Israel possessed all the land of the Amorites, who lived in that country. ²² And they possessed all the borders of the Amorites, from Arnon even to Jabbok, and from the wilderness even to Jordan. ²³ So now Jehovah, the God of Israel has put out the Amorites before His people Israel, and should you possess it? ²⁴ Will you not possess that which Chemosh your god gives you to possess? So whomever Jehovah our God shall drive out from before us, we will possess them.

¹ And Jehovah said to Samuel, How long will you mourn for Saul, since I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? Fill your horn with oil and go. I will send you to Jesse of Bethlehem. For I have seen a king for Me among his sons.

¹² And he sent and brought him in. And he was ruddy, with beautiful eyes and good form. And Jehovah said, Arise, anoint him. For this is he.

¹² And when your days are fulfilled, and you shall sleep with your fathers, I will set up your seed after you, who shall come out of your bowels. And I will make his kingdom sure. ¹³ He shall build a house for My name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. ¹⁴ I will be his Father, and he shall be My son. If he commits iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the sons of men. ¹⁵ But My mercy shall not leave him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before you. ¹⁶ And your house and your kingdom shall be made sure forever before you. Your throne shall be established forever.

²⁰ And Jehovah has performed His Word which He spoke, and I have risen up instead of my father David. And I sit on the throne of Israel, as Jehovah promised. And I have built a house for the name of Jehovah, the God of Israel.

¹¹ And it will be, when your days have ended so that you must go to be with your fathers, I will raise up your seed after you, who shall be from your sons. And I will make his kingdom sure.

¹⁴ And I will settle him in My house, and in My kingdom forever. And his throne shall be established forever.

⁴ But Jehovah, the God of Israel chose me before all the house of my father to be king over Israel forever. For He has chosen Judah to be the ruler, and of the house of Judah the house of my father. And in my father's house He was pleased to make me king over all Israel. ⁵ And of all my sons (for Jehovah has given me many sons), He has chosen Solomon my son to sit on the throne of the kingdom of the Lord over Israel.

⁹ And I said, What you do is not good. Should you not walk in the fear of our God because of the reproach of the nations our enemies?

¹⁹ Then You spoke in a vision to Your holy one, and You said, I have laid help on a mighty one; I have lifted up a chosen one out of the people. ²⁰ I have found David, My servant; with My holy oil I have anointed him. ²¹ My hand shall be always with him; My arm also shall make him strong. ²² The enemy shall not use force on him, nor the son of wickedness afflict him. ²³ And I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague those who hate him. ²⁴ But My faithfulness and My mercy shall be with him; and in My name his horn shall be lifted up. ²⁵ I will set his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers. ²⁶ He shall cry to Me, My Father, You are my God, and the rock of my salvation. ²⁷ And I will make him My first-born, higher than the kings of the earth. ²⁸ I will keep My mercy for him forever, and My covenant shall stand fast with him. ²⁹ Also I have set his seed forever, and his throne as the days of the heavens. ³⁰ If his children forsake My Law, and do not walk in My judgments; ³¹ if they profane My Precepts, and do not keep My Commandments; ³² then I will visit their wickedness with the rod, and their sin with stripes. ³³ But I will not completely take My loving-kindness from him, and I will not be false in My faithfulness. ³⁴ I will not break My covenant, nor change the thing that has gone out of My lips. ³⁵ Once I have sworn by My holiness that I will not lie to David. ³⁶ His seed shall endure forever, and his throne as the sun before Me. ³⁷ It shall be established forever like the moon, and like a faithful witness in the heavens. Selah.

²⁹ instead they hated knowledge and did not choose the fear of Jehovah.

⁵ I have made the earth, man, and the animals on the face of the earth, by My great power and by My outstretched arm, and have given it to whom it seemed right to Me. ⁶ And now I have given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, My servant. And I have also given him the beast of the field to serve him. ⁷ And all nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son's son, until the time of his own land comes. And then many nations and great kings shall enslave him.

²¹ then also may My covenant with David My servant be broken, that he should not have a son to reign on his throne, and My covenant with the Levites the priests, My ministers. ²² As the host of the heavens cannot be numbered, nor the sand of the sea measured, so I will multiply the seed of David My servant and the Levites who minister to Me.

²⁶ then I will cast away the seed of Jacob, and David My servant, so that I will not take any of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. For I will bring back their captivity, and have mercy on them.

²⁴ And you shall offer them before Jehovah, and the priests shall cast salt on them, and they shall offer them up for a burnt offering to Jehovah.

²⁵ They shall drive you from men, and your dwelling shall be with the animals of the field, and they shall make you eat grass like oxen. And they shall wet you with the dew of heaven, and seven times shall pass over you, until you know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomever He will. ²⁶ And in that they commanded to leave the stump of the tree roots; your kingdom shall be sure to you after you have known that Heaven rules. ²⁷ Therefore, O king, let my advice be pleasing to you, and break off your sins by righteousness, and your iniquities by showing mercy to the poor, whether there will be duration to your prosperity. ²⁸ All this came on the King Nebuchadnezzar. ²⁹ At the end of twelve months he walked in the palace of the kingdom of Babylon. ³⁰ The king spoke and said, Is this not great Babylon that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power and for the honor of my majesty? ³¹ While the word was in the king's mouth, a voice fell from Heaven, saying, O King Nebuchadnezzar, to you it is spoken. The kingdom has departed from you. ³² And they shall drive you from men, and your dwelling shall be with the animals of the field. They shall make you eat grass like oxen, and seven times shall pass over you, until you know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomever He will.

¹⁸ O king, the Most High God gave Nebuchadnezzar your father a kingdom, and majesty, and glory, and honor.

⁴⁹ For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt. ⁵⁰ Salt is good; but if the salt becomes saltless, with what will you season? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with one another.

³¹ And behold! You shall conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call His name JESUS. ³² He shall be great and shall be called the Son of the Highest. And the Lord God shall give Him the throne of His father David. ³³ And He shall reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there shall be no end.

⁵ For this is hidden from them by their willing it, that the heavens were of old, and the earth out of the water, and through water, being held together by the Word of God,
