² And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receives sinners and eats with them.

²³ Then he called them in and lodged them. And on the next day Peter went away with them, and certain brothers from Joppa went with him.

²⁸ And he said to them, You know that it is an unlawful thing for a man, a Jew to keep company with or to come near to one of another nation. But God has shown me not to call any man common or unclean.

⁴⁸ And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then they begged him to stay certain days.

¹¹ But now I have written to you not to associate intimately, if any man called a brother and is either a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such a one not to eat.

¹² For before some came from James, he ate with the nations. But when they came, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing those of the circumcision.

¹⁰ If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house, nor speak a greeting to him.
