²⁰ For you bring certain strange things to our ears, therefore we are minded to know what these things mean.

¹² I have written to him the great things of My Law, but they were counted as a strange thing.

²³ Then Jesus said to His disciples, Truly I say to you that a rich man will with great difficulty enter into the kingdom of Heaven. ²⁴ And again I say to you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. ²⁵ When His disciples heard, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?

¹⁰ And they kept that saying within themselves, debating with one another what the rising from the dead is.

²⁴ And the disciples were astonished at His words. But Jesus answering again said to them, Children, how hard it is for those who trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God! ²⁵ It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich one to enter into the kingdom of God. ²⁶ And they were astonished beyond measure, saying to themselves, And who can be saved?

⁶⁰ Then when they had heard, many of His disciples said, This is a hard saying, who can hear it?

³⁵ Then the Jews said among themselves, Where is he about to go that we shall not find him? Is he about to go to the Dispersion of the Greeks, and to teach the Greeks? ³⁶ What saying is this that He said, You shall seek Me and shall not find Me, and where I am, you cannot come?

¹² And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying to one another, What does this mean?

¹⁷ And while Peter doubted within himself what the vision which he had seen might be, even behold, the men who were sent from Cornelius had asked for Simon's house and stood on the porch.

²³ but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block, and to the Greeks foolishness.

¹⁴ But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

¹¹ of whom we have much to say, and hard to be explained since you are dull of hearing.

⁴ In these things they are surprised, that you are not running with them into the same excess of riot, blaspheming.
