¹² Then he said to me, Do not fear, Daniel; for from the first day that you set your heart to understand and to chasten yourself before your God, your words were heard. And I have come for your words.

²⁹ And it shall be a statute forever to you: in the seventh month, on the tenth of the month, you shall afflict your souls and do no work at all, the native and the alien who is staying among you.

³¹ It shall be a sabbath of rest to you, and you shall afflict your souls, by a statute forever.

⁷ And you shall have a holy convocation on the tenth of this seventh month. And you shall afflict your souls. You shall not do any work.

¹⁰ When I humbled my soul with fasting, it turned to my reproach.

⁴ Say to those of a hasty heart, Be strong, fear not; behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the full dealing of God. He will come and save you.

¹⁰ Do not fear; for I am with you; be not dismayed; for I am your God. I will make you strong; yes, I will help you; yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of My righteousness.

¹⁴ Do not fear, worm of Jacob and men of Israel; I will help you, says Jehovah, and your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.

⁹ Then you shall call, and Jehovah shall answer; you shall cry, and He shall say, Here I am. If you take the yoke away from among you, the pointing of the finger, and speaking vanity;

²⁴ And it will be, before they call I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear.

³ And I set my face toward the Lord God, to seek by prayer and holy desires, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes. ⁴ And I prayed to Jehovah my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and awesome God, keeping the covenant and mercy to those who love Him, and to those who keep His commandments,

²⁰ And while I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin, and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my cry before Jehovah my God for the holy mountain of my God; ²¹ yes, while I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, touched me in my severe exhaustion, about the time of the evening sacrifice. ²² And he enlightened me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I have now come out to give you skill and understanding. ²³ At the beginning of your prayers the commandment came out, and I have come to explain. For you are greatly beloved; therefore understand the matter, and attend to the vision:

² In those days I, Daniel, was mourning three full weeks. ³ I ate no food for delight, neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, nor did I anoint myself at all, until three whole weeks were fulfilled.

¹¹ And he said to me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak to you, and stand upright. For to you I am now sent. And when he had spoken this word to me, I stood trembling.

¹⁹ and said, O man greatly beloved, do not fear. Peace to you; be strong; yes, be strong. And when he had spoken to me, I was made stronger, and I said, Speak my lord, for you have made me stronger.

⁵ And the angel answered and said to the women, Do not fear, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified.

¹⁰ Then Jesus said to them, Do not be afraid; go tell My brothers that they should go into Galilee, and there they will see Me.

⁶ And he said to them, Do not be frightened. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen, He is not here. Behold the place where they laid Him.

¹³ But the angel said to him, Do not fear, Zacharias. For your prayer is heard, and your wife Elizabeth shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name John.

³⁰ And the angel said to her, Do not fear, Mary, for you have found favor with God.

³⁰ And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour. And at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing. ³¹ And he said, Cornelius, your prayer is heard, and your merciful deeds have been remembered before God.

⁹ And the Lord spoke to Paul in the night by a vision, Do not be afraid, but speak, and be not silent. ¹⁰ For I am with you, and no one shall set on you to hurt you, for I have many people in this city.

²⁴ saying, Fear not, Paul! You must stand before Caesar. And behold! God has given you all those who sail with you.
