²³ I will heap evils on them. I will spend My arrows on them.

¹⁸ And if you will not yet listen to Me for all this, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins.

²⁴ then I will walk contrary to you and will punish you seven times more for your sins.

¹⁵ And it shall be, if you will not listen to the voice of Jehovah your God, to observe and to do all His commandments and His statutes which I command you today, all these curses shall come on you and overtake you.

²¹ And Jehovah shall set him apart to evil out of all the tribes of Israel, according to all the curses of the covenant that are written in this book of the Law;

¹² If he does not turn, He will whet His sword; He has bent His bow and made it ready. ¹³ Yea, He has fitted him for instruments of death; He has made His arrows hotly pursue.

¹⁷ Dread, and the pit, and the snare are on you, O dweller of the earth. ¹⁸ And it shall be, he who flees from the sound of dread shall fall into the pit. And he who comes up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare. For the windows from on high are opened, and the foundations of the earth quake.

¹⁵ You have increased the nation, O Jehovah, You have increased the nation; You are glorified; You have extended all the ends of the land.

² And it will be, if they say to you, Where shall we go? Then you shall tell them, So says Jehovah: Those who are for death, go to death; and those for the sword, to the sword; and those for the famine, to the famine; and those for the captivity, to the captivity. ³ And I will set over them four kinds, says Jehovah; the sword to kill, and the dogs to tear, and the birds of the heaven and the beasts of the earth to devour and destroy.

¹³ He has caused the arrows of His quiver to enter into my inward parts.

¹⁶ When I shall send on them the evil arrows of famine, which shall be for their ruin, which I will send to destroy you; even I will increase the famine on you, and break your staff of bread;

²¹ For so says the Lord Jehovah: How much more when I send My four evil judgments on Jerusalem, the sword, and the famine, and the destroying beast, and the plague, to cut off man and beast from it.

⁷ For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines and pestilences and earthquakes in different places. ⁸ All these are the beginning of sorrows.
