³⁰ And now you have gone because you longed after your father's house. Why have you stolen my gods?

¹⁹ And Laban went to shear his sheep. And Rachel had stolen the images which were her father's.

¹² For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the first-born in the land of Egypt, both man and beast. And I will execute judgments against all the gods of Egypt. I am Jehovah.

⁴ For the Egyptians buried all their first-born whom Jehovah had stricken among them. Jehovah also executed judgments upon their gods.

³¹ And Joash said to all that stood against him, Will you plead for Baal? Will you save him? He who contends for him shall be killed by the morning. If he is a god, let him plead for himself, because one has cast down his altar.

²⁴ And he said, You have taken away my gods which I made, and the priest, and you have gone away. And what more do I have? And what is this you say to me, What ails you?
