¹¹ And their father Israel said to them, If it be so now, do this. Take of the best fruits of the land in your vessels, and bring a present down to the man, a little balm, and a little honey, spices, and myrrh, nuts, and almonds.

¹³ And he lodged there that night. And he took of that which came to his hand, a present for Esau his brother ¹⁴ two hundred she-goats, twenty he-goats, two hundred ewes, and twenty rams, ¹⁵ thirty milk camels with their colts, forty cows and ten bulls, twenty she-asses and ten foals. ¹⁶ And he delivered into the hands of his servants, every drove by themselves. And he said to his servants, Pass over in front of me and put a space between drove and drove. ¹⁷ And he commanded the foremost, saying, When Esau my brother meets you, and asks you saying, To whom do you belong? and, Where do you go? And whose are these before you? ¹⁸ Then you shall say, Your servant Jacob's. It is a present sent to my lord Esau. And, behold, he also is behind us. ¹⁹ And so he commanded the second and the third, and all that followed the droves, saying, In this way you shall speak to Esau when you find him. ²⁰ And also you shall say, Behold, your servant Jacob is behind us. For he said, I will appease him with the present that goes before me, and afterward I will see his face. Perhaps he will accept me. ²¹ And the present went over before him. And he himself lodged that night in the camp.

¹⁰ And Jacob said, No, please, if now I have found grace in your sight, then receive my present at my hand. For therefore have I seen your face, as though I had seen the face of God, and you were pleased with me.

²⁵ And they sat down to eat bread. And they lifted up their eyes, and looked. And behold, a company of Ishmaelites came from Gilead, with their camels bearing spices and balm and myrrh, going to carry it down to Egypt.

¹⁴ And God Almighty give you mercy before the man, so that he may send away your other brother and Benjamin. If I am bereaved, I am bereaved.

²⁴ But I have said to you, You shall inherit their land, and I, I am giving it to you to possess it, a land that flows with milk and honey. I am Jehovah your God, who has separated you from the nations.

¹⁴ and for the precious fruits of the sun, and with the best yield of the months.

¹⁴ Hurry, my Beloved, and be like a gazelle, or a young deer, the stag, on the mountains of spices.

²² Is there no balm in Gilead? Is there no physician there? Why then has the healing of the daughter of My people not come?

¹⁵ The sons of Dedan were your merchants; many coastlands were the traffic of your hand. They brought as your gift tusks of ivory and ebony.

¹⁷ Judah and the land of Israel were your merchants with wheat from Minnith and Pannag, and honey, and oil, and balm, they gave for your goods.

¹⁴ And he not being persuaded, we ceased, saying, The will of the Lord be done.
