⁷ Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says, "Today if you will hear His voice,

² The Spirit of Jehovah spoke by me, and His Word was in my tongue.

¹¹ But My people would not listen to My voice, and Israel would have none of Me.

¹³ Oh that My people had listened to Me, and Israel had walked in My ways!

⁷ For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand. Today if you will hear His voice, ⁸ harden not your heart, as in the day of strife, as in the day of testing in the wilderness; ⁹ when your fathers tempted Me, tested Me, and saw My work. ¹⁰ For forty years I was grieved with this generation, and said, It is a people who go astray in their hearts, and they have not known My ways; ¹¹ to whom I swore in My wrath that they should not enter into My rest.

¹ Do not boast yourself of tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring forth.

¹⁰ Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might; for there is no work, nor plan, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave where you go.

³ Bow down your ear, and come to Me; hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

⁶ Seek Jehovah while He may be found; call on Him while He is near.

⁵ While he yet spoke, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them. And behold a voice out of the cloud which said, This is My beloved Son in whom I am well pleased, hear Him.

⁴³ He said to them, How then does David by the Spirit call him Lord, saying,

³⁶ For David himself said by the Holy Spirit: "The LORD said to my Lord, Sit at My right hand until I place Your enemies as Your footstool."

²⁵ Truly, truly, I say to you, The hour is coming and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God, and they who hear shall live.

³ The doorkeeper opens to him, and the sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.

¹⁶ And I have other sheep who are not of this fold. I must also lead those, and they shall hear My voice, and there shall be one flock, one Shepherd.

²⁷ My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

¹⁶ Men, brothers, this Scripture must have been fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit by the mouth of David spoke before concerning Judas, who became guide to those who seized Jesus.

²⁵ And disagreeing with one another, they were let go, Paul saying one word: Well did the Holy Spirit speak through Isaiah the prophet to our fathers,

¹ But working together, we also call on you not to receive the grace of God in vain. ² (For He says, "In an acceptable time I heard you, and in a day of salvation, I helped you;" Behold, now is the accepted time. Behold, now is the day of salvation.)

¹³ But exhort one another daily, while it is called today, lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

¹⁵ while it is said, "Today if you will hear His voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation."

⁷ He again marks out a certain day, saying in David, "Today," (after so long a time). Even as it is said, "Today, if you will hear His voice, harden not your hearts."

⁸ the Holy Spirit signifying by this that the way into the Holiest of all was not yet made manifest while the first tabernacle was still standing.

¹³ Come now, those saying, Today or tomorrow we will go into such a city and spend a year there, and we will trade and will make a profit, ¹⁴ who do not know of the morrow. For what is your life? For it is a vapor, which appears for a little time, and then disappears. ¹⁵ Instead of you saying, If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that.

²¹ For prophecy was not borne at any time by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke being borne along by the Holy Spirit.

²⁰ Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him and he with Me.
