¹⁵ All their wickedness is in Gilgal, for there I hated them. I will drive them out of My house for the wickedness of their doings. I will love them no more; all their rulers are revolters.

³⁰ And I will destroy your high places and cut down your images, and throw your carcasses on the carcasses of your idols, and My soul shall despise you.

¹⁹ And the people came up out of the Jordan on the tenth of the first month, and camped in Gilgal, in the east border of Jericho. ²⁰ And those twelve stones which they took out of the Jordan, were raised by Joshua in Gilgal. ²¹ And he spoke to the sons of Israel saying, When your sons shall ask their fathers in time to come, saying, What do these stones mean? ²² Then you shall let your sons know, saying, Israel came over this Jordan on dry land. ²³ For Jehovah your God dried up the waters of Jordan from before you until you had passed over, even as Jehovah your God did to the Red Sea which He dried up from before us until we had gone over; ²⁴ so that all the people of the earth might know the hand of Jehovah is mighty, and so that you might fear Jehovah your God forever.

² At that time Jehovah said to Joshua, Make sharp knives for yourselves and circumcise the sons of Israel again, the second time. ³ And Joshua made sharp knives and circumcised the sons of Israel at the hill of the foreskins. ⁴ And this is the reason why Joshua circumcised. All the people that came out of Egypt, the males, all the men of war, died in the wilderness by the wayside, after they came out of Egypt. ⁵ For all the people who came out were circumcised. But all the people born in the wilderness by the wayside, as they came forth out of Egypt, had not been circumcised. ⁶ For the sons of Israel walked forty years in the wilderness, until all the people, the men of war, who came out of Egypt, were destroyed, because they did not obey the voice of Jehovah. To them Jehovah swore that He would not show them the land which Jehovah swore to their fathers that He would give us, a land that flows with milk and honey. ⁷ And Joshua circumcised their sons, whom He raised up in their place. For they were not circumcised, because they had not been circumcised by the wayside. ⁸ And it happened when they had finished circumcising all the people, they stayed in their places in the camp until they were well. ⁹ And Jehovah said to Joshua, Today I have rolled away the reproach of Egypt from you. Therefore, the name of the place is called Gilgal to this day.

⁴³ And Joshua returned, and all Israel with him, to the camp to Gilgal.

¹⁶ And he went from year to year in a circuit to Bethel and Gilgal and Mizpeh, and judged Israel in all those places.

⁷ then I will cut off Israel from the face of the land which I have given them. And this house which I have made holy for My name I will cast out of My sight. And Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all people. ⁸ As to this house which is exalted, everyone who passes by it shall be amazed and shall hiss. And they shall say, Why has Jehovah done this to this land and to this house? ⁹ And they shall answer, Because they left Jehovah their God who brought out their fathers from the land of Egypt, and have taken hold on other gods and have worshiped them and served them. On account of this Jehovah has brought on them all this evil.

¹⁷ And they caused their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire. And they used divination and incantations, and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of Jehovah, to provoke Him to anger. ¹⁸ So Jehovah was very angry with Israel, and turned them away from His face; not one was left, only the tribe of Judah by itself. ¹⁹ Also Judah did not keep the commandments of Jehovah their God, but walked in the statutes which Israel made. ²⁰ And Jehovah rejected all the seed of Israel, and afflicted them, and delivered them into the hand of spoilers, until He had cast them out of His sight.

⁶⁰ so that He left the tabernacle of Shiloh, the tent which He placed among men,

²³ your rulers are rebellious, and companions of thieves; everyone loves a bribe, and is pursuing rewards; they do not judge the orphan, nor does the cause of the widow come to them.

⁸ And I saw, when for all the causes for which backsliding Israel committed adultery, I sent her away and gave a bill of divorce to her, yet her treacherous sister Judah did not fear, but she went and whored, she also.

⁵ I will go up for myself to the great men, and will speak to them; for they have known the way of Jehovah and the judgment of their God. But these have broken the yoke together and have torn off the bonds!

¹⁵ What is to My beloved in My house, since she has committed her many evils? And has the holy flesh caused your evil to pass from you? How then do you exult?

²⁴ Do you not consider what this people have spoken, saying, The two families which Jehovah has chosen, He has even cast them off? So they have despised My people, that they should be no more a nation before them. ²⁵ So says Jehovah: If My covenant is not with day and night, and if I have not given the ordinances of the heavens and the earth, ²⁶ then I will cast away the seed of Jacob, and David My servant, so that I will not take any of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. For I will bring back their captivity, and have mercy on them.

²⁷ Her rulers in her midst are like wolves tearing the prey, to shed blood and to destroy souls, to get unjust gain.

¹⁸ So she uncovered her fornications and uncovered her nakedness. And My soul was alienated from her just as My soul was alienated from her sister.

⁶ And she conceived again and bore a daughter. And God said to him, Call her name No-mercy, for I will no more have mercy on the house of Israel. But I will utterly take them away.

⁹ And He said, Call his name Not-my-people. For you are not My people, and I will not be for you.

⁴ For the sons of Israel shall live many days with no king, and no ruler, and with no sacrifice, and no pillars, and no ephod, or teraphim.

⁹ And it has become, Like people, like priest; and I will punish them for their ways, and reward them for their doings.

¹⁵ Though you, Israel, fornicate, yet do not let Judah become guilty. And do not come to Gilgal, nor go up to Beth-aven, nor swear, As Jehovah lives.

¹ Hear this, O priests, and listen, house of Israel. And give ear, house of the king. For judgment is toward you, because you have been a snare on Mizpah and a net spread on Tabor. ² And revolters have gone deep in slaughtering, and I chasten all of them.

² And they do not say within their hearts that I remember all their evil. Now their own doings have hemmed them in; they are before My face.

³ They shall not dwell in Jehovah's land; but Ephraim shall return to Egypt, and they shall eat unclean things in Assyria.

¹⁷ My God shall cast them away because they did not listen to Him. And they shall be wanderers among the nations.

¹¹ Is there iniquity in Gilead? Surely they are vanity; they sacrifice bulls in Gilgal. Yes, their altars are as heaps in the furrows of the fields.

⁴ Come to Bethel and transgress; to Gilgal and multiply transgressing at Gilgal. And bring your sacrifices for the morning, your tithes for three years;

⁵ But do not seek Bethel nor enter into Gilgal, and do not pass to Beer-sheba; for Gilgal shall surely go into exile, and Bethel shall come to nothing.

²⁷ So I will cause you to go into exile beyond Damascus, says Jehovah, the God of Hosts is His name.

¹¹ Her heads judge for a bribe, and her priests teach for pay, and her prophets divine for silver, yet they will lean on Jehovah and say, Is not Jehovah among us? No evil can come on us!

⁵ O My people, remember now what Balak king of Moab planned, and what Balaam the son of Beor answered him from Shittim to Gilgal, so that you may know the righteous acts of Jehovah.

³ Her rulers within her are roaring lions; her judges evening wolves. They do not gnaw bones for the morning.

⁸ I also cut off three shepherds in one month; and my soul was impatient with them, and their soul also despised me.

⁵ And it happened on the next day that their rulers and elders and scribes, gathered to Jerusalem, ⁶ and Annas the high priest, and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the kindred of the high priest. ⁷ And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name have you done this?

²⁷ For truly, against Your holy child Jesus, whom You have anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the nations, and the people of Israel, were gathered together

²¹ And hearing, they went into the temple about dawn, and taught. But the high priest came, and those with him. And they called the sanhedrin together, and all the elderhood of the sons of Israel, and sent to the prison to have them brought.
