¹⁰ Now I will rise, says Jehovah; now I will be exalted; now I will lift up Myself.

¹⁸ And the Egyptians shall know that I am Jehovah when I have gotten honor for Me upon Pharaoh, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.

⁹ The enemy said, I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; my lust shall be satisfied upon them, I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them. ¹⁰ You blew with Your wind; the sea covered them. They sank like lead in the mighty waters. ¹¹ Who is like You, O Jehovah, among the gods? Who is like You, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders? ¹² You stretched out Your right hand, the earth swallowed them.

³⁶ For Jehovah will bring His people justice; and He shall have compassion on His servants, for He sees that their power is gone, and only the imprisoned and abandoned remain. ³⁷ And He shall say, Where are their gods, their rock in whom they trusted? ³⁸ Who ate the fat of their sacrifices and drank the wine of their drink offerings? Let them rise up and help you; let it be your hiding place. ³⁹ See now that I, I am He, and there is no god with me. I kill, and I make alive; I wound and I heal; and there is no deliverer out of My hand. ⁴⁰ For I lift up My hand to Heaven and say, I live forever! ⁴¹ If I sharpen My glittering sword, and if My hand takes hold in judgment, I will give vengeance to My enemies and will reward those that hate Me. ⁴² I will make My arrows drunk with blood, and My sword shall devour flesh, with the blood of the slain and of the captives, from the hairy scalp of the enemy. ⁴³ Rejoice, O, nations, with His people; for He will avenge the blood of His servants, and will render vengeance to His foes and will be merciful to His land, to His people.

⁶ Arise, O Jehovah, in Your anger; lift up Yourself because of the rage of my enemies, and awake for me to the judgment which You have commanded.

⁵ For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, I will now arise, says Jehovah. I will set in safety, he pants for it.

¹⁰ Be still, and know that I am God! I will be praised among the nations, I will be praised in the earth.

⁶⁵ Then the Lord awakened like one out of sleep, like a mighty man rejoicing with wine.

¹³ You shall arise, and have mercy on Zion; for the time to pity her, yea, the set time, has come. ¹⁴ For Your servants take pleasure in its stones, and pity its dust. ¹⁵ So the nations shall fear the name of Jehovah, and all the kings of the earth Your glory. ¹⁶ When Jehovah shall build up Zion, He shall appear in His glory. ¹⁷ He will turn to the prayer of the forsaken and not despise their prayer. ¹⁸ This shall be written for the generation to come; and the people who shall be created shall praise Jehovah.

³³ Behold, the Lord, Jehovah of Hosts, shall lop the bough with terror; and the lofty ones shall be cut down, and the proud shall be humbled.

¹⁷ One thousand shall flee at the rebuke of one; at the rebuke of five you shall flee, until you are left as a pole on the top of a mountain, and as a sign on a hill. ¹⁸ And so Jehovah waits to be gracious to you. And therefore He is exalted, that He may have mercy on you. For Jehovah is a God of judgment; blessed are all those who wait for Him.

¹³ Jehovah goes out as a warrior, He stirs up zeal like a man of wars; He shouts, yea, roars; He overcomes His enemies. ¹⁴ I have kept silence from forever; I have been still and refrained Myself. Now I will cry like a woman in pangs of labor, I will pant and gasp at once.

¹⁶ And He saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor. Therefore His own arm brought salvation to Him; and His righteousness sustained Him. ¹⁷ For He put on righteousness like a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation on His head. And He put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was covered with zeal like a cloak.

¹ Woe to those at ease in Zion, and those trusting in the mountain of Samaria, who are noted as leader of the nations. And the house of Israel came to them.

⁸ Therefore wait for Me, says Jehovah, for the day I rise up to the prey; for My judgment is to gather the nations, for Me to collect the kingdoms, to pour on them My fury, all My hot anger. For all the earth shall be burned up with the fire of My jealousy.
