³ Bow down your ear, and come to Me; hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

⁷ And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your seed after you in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God to you and to your seed after you.

⁵ And you shall keep My statutes and My judgments, which if a man does, he shall live in them. I am Jehovah.

⁸ And now so shall you say to My servant David, So says Jehovah of Hosts: I took you from the sheepcote, from following the sheep, to be ruler over My people, over Israel. ⁹ And I was with you wherever you went, and have cut off all your enemies out of your sight, and have made you a great name like the name of the great ones in the earth. ¹⁰ And I will appoint a place for My people Israel, and will plant them so that they may dwell in a place of their own, and move no more. Neither shall the sons of wickedness afflict them any more, as before. ¹¹ And even from the time that I commanded judges to be over My people of Israel, so will I cause you to rest from all your enemies. Also Jehovah tells you that He will make you a house. ¹² And when your days are fulfilled, and you shall sleep with your fathers, I will set up your seed after you, who shall come out of your bowels. And I will make his kingdom sure. ¹³ He shall build a house for My name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. ¹⁴ I will be his Father, and he shall be My son. If he commits iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the sons of men. ¹⁵ But My mercy shall not leave him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before you. ¹⁶ And your house and your kingdom shall be made sure forever before you. Your throne shall be established forever. ¹⁷ According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so Nathan spoke to David.

⁵ Although my house is not so with God, yet He has made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things, and sure. For all my salvation, and all my desire, will He not make it grow?

¹ An instruction of Asaph. Give ear, O my people, to my law; bow down your ears to the words of my mouth.

²⁸ I will keep My mercy for him forever, and My covenant shall stand fast with him.

³⁵ Once I have sworn by My holiness that I will not lie to David. ³⁶ His seed shall endure forever, and his throne as the sun before Me. ³⁷ It shall be established forever like the moon, and like a faithful witness in the heavens. Selah.

⁸ In a little wrath I hid My face from you for a moment; but with everlasting kindness I will have mercy on you, says Jehovah your Redeemer.

⁸ For I Jehovah love judgment, I hate robbery for burnt offering; and I will direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.

⁹ but they shall serve Jehovah their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up to them.

⁴⁰ And I will cut an everlasting covenant with them that I will not turn away from them, to do them good. But I will put My fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from Me.

²⁰ So says Jehovah: If you can break My covenant of the day and My covenant of the night, and that there should not be day and night in their season, ²¹ then also may My covenant with David My servant be broken, that he should not have a son to reign on his throne, and My covenant with the Levites the priests, My ministers.

²⁶ then I will cast away the seed of Jacob, and David My servant, so that I will not take any of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. For I will bring back their captivity, and have mercy on them.

⁵ They shall ask the way to Zion with their faces there, saying, Come and let us join ourselves to Jehovah in an everlasting covenant never to be forgotten.

²⁴ And David My servant shall be King over them. And there shall be one Shepherd to all of them. And they shall walk in My judgments, and obey My Laws, and do them. ²⁵ And they shall dwell in the land that I have given to Jacob My servant, the land in which your fathers have lived. And they shall dwell in it, even they and their sons, and the sons of their sons for ever. And My servant David shall be their ruler forever.

²⁸ Come to Me all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

¹⁶ But blessed are your eyes, for they see; and your ears, for they hear.

⁵ While he yet spoke, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them. And behold a voice out of the cloud which said, This is My beloved Son in whom I am well pleased, hear Him.

²⁴ Truly, truly, I say to you, He who hears My Word and believes on Him who sent Me has everlasting life and shall not come into condemnation, but has passed from death to life. ²⁵ Truly, truly, I say to you, The hour is coming and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God, and they who hear shall live.

³⁷ All that the Father gives Me shall come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will in no way cast out.

⁴⁴ No one can come to Me unless the Father who has sent Me draw him, and I will raise him up at the last day. ⁴⁵ It is written in the Prophets, "And they shall all be taught of God." Therefore everyone who hears and learns from the Father comes to Me.

³⁷ And in the last day of the great feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.

⁴⁷ He who is of God hears God's Words. Therefore you do not hear them because you are not of God.

²⁷ My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

³⁴ And that He raised Him up from the dead, no more to return to corruption, He spoke in this way: "I will give you the holy promises of David."

⁵ For Moses writes of the righteousness which is of the Law, "The man who does those things shall live by them."

²⁰ Now may the God of peace (who brought again our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant)
