¹ The Word of Jehovah was to me, saying, ² You shall not take a wife for yourself, nor shall you have sons or daughters in this place. ³ For so says Jehovah concerning the sons and concerning the daughters who are born in this place, and concerning their mothers who bore them, and concerning their fathers who fathered them in this land: ⁴ They shall die from deaths of diseases; they shall not be mourned, nor shall they be buried. But they shall be as dung on the face of the earth. And they shall be destroyed by the sword and by famine; and their bodies shall be food for the birds of the heavens and for the beasts of the earth. ⁵ For so says Jehovah, Do not enter into the house of mourning; do not go to weep nor moan over them. For I have taken away My peace from this people, says Jehovah, even loving-kindness and mercies. ⁶ Both the great and the small shall die in this land. They shall not be buried, nor shall men mourn for them, nor cut themselves, nor make themselves bald for them. ⁷ Nor shall anyone tear themselves for them in mourning, to comfort them for the dead. Nor shall anyone give them the cup of comfort to drink for their father or for their mother. ⁸ Also you shall not go into the house of feasting, to sit with them to eat and to drink. ⁹ For so says Jehovah of Hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will cause the voice of mirth to cease out of this place before your eyes, and in your days, and the voice of gladness, and the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride. ¹⁰ And it shall be, when you declare to this people all these words, and they shall say to you, Why has Jehovah pronounced all this great evil against us? Or what is our iniquity, or what is our sin that we have committed against Jehovah our God? ¹¹ Then you shall say to them, Because your fathers have forsaken Me, says Jehovah, and have walked after other gods, and have served them, and have worshiped them, and have forsaken Me, and have not kept My Law. ¹² And you have done worse than your fathers; for, behold, you walk each one after the stubbornness of his evil heart, without listening to Me; ¹³ even I will cast you out of this land into a land that you do not know, neither you nor your fathers; and there you shall serve other gods day and night; where I will not grant you favor. ¹⁴ So, behold, the days come, says Jehovah, that it shall no more be said, As Jehovah lives, who brought up the sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt; ¹⁵ but, As Jehovah lives, who brought up the sons of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the lands where He had driven them. And I will bring them again into their lands that I gave to their fathers. ¹⁶ Behold, I will send for many fishermen, says Jehovah, and they will fish them. And afterwards I will send for many hunters, and they will hunt them from every mountain and from every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks. ¹⁷ For My eyes are on all their ways; they are not hidden from My face, nor is their iniquity hidden from My eyes. ¹⁸ And first I will twice repay their iniquity and their sin, because they have defiled My land, they have filled My inheritance with the dead bodies of their abominable things. ¹⁹ O Jehovah, my strength and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the nations shall come to You from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and there is no profit in them. ²⁰ Shall a man make gods to himself, and they are no gods? ²¹ Therefore, behold, I will make them know; this time I will cause them to know My hand and My might; and they shall know that My name is Jehovah.

² to whom the Word of Jehovah came in the days of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, in the thirteenth year of his reign.

⁴ And it happened, the Word of Jehovah came to me, saying,

¹ And the Word of Jehovah came to me, saying,

¹⁴ And Lot went out and spoke with his sons-in-law, who married his daughters, and said, Get up and get out of this place, for Jehovah will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked to his sons-in-law.

¹⁹ And woe to those who are with child, and to those who give suck in those days!

²³ But woe to those who are with child, and to those suckling in those days! For there shall be great distress in the land and wrath on this people.

²⁹ For behold, the days are coming in which they shall say, Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bore, and the breasts which did not suckle.

²⁶ Then I think this is good, because of the present necessity; that it is good for a man to be so. ²⁷ Are you bound to a wife? Do not seek to be free. Are you loosed from a wife? Do not seek a wife.

²¹ Therefore so says Jehovah, Behold, I will lay stumbling-blocks before this people, and the fathers and the sons together shall fall on them; the neighbor and his friend shall perish.

⁵ For so says Jehovah, Do not enter into the house of mourning; do not go to weep nor moan over them. For I have taken away My peace from this people, says Jehovah, even loving-kindness and mercies.

⁹ For so says Jehovah of Hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will cause the voice of mirth to cease out of this place before your eyes, and in your days, and the voice of gladness, and the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride.

¹⁰ therefore, behold, I will bring evil on the house of Jeroboam, and will cut off from Jeroboam everyone who urinates against the wall, bound and free in Israel, and will sweep away the rest of the house of Jeroboam, as a man sweeps away the dung, until it is all gone. ¹¹ Those of Jeroboam who die in the city, the dogs shall eat. And those who die in the field, the fowls of the air shall eat. For Jehovah has spoken.

²³ And Jehovah also spoke of Jezebel saying, The dogs shall eat Jezebel by the wall of Jezreel. ²⁴ He who dies of Ahab in the city, the dogs shall eat. And he who dies in the field, the birds of the air shall eat.

¹⁰ And the dogs shall eat Jezebel in a part of Jezreel, and none shall be there to bury her. And he opened the door and fled.

³⁶ And they came again and told him. And he said, This is the Word of Jehovah which He spoke by His servant Elijah the Tishbite, saying, In the portion of Jezreel the dogs shall eat the flesh of Jezebel. ³⁷ And the dead body of Jezebel shall be as dung on the face of the field in the portion of Jezreel, so that they shall not say, This is Jezebel.

⁶⁴ Their priests fell by the sword; and their widows were not able to weep.

² They have given the dead bodies of Your servants as food for the birds of the heavens, the flesh of Your saints to the beasts of the earth. ³ They have shed their blood like water round about Jerusalem, and none to bury.

¹⁰ who perished at Endor; they became as dung for the earth.

²⁵ Therefore the anger of Jehovah is kindled on His people, and He has stretched out His hand against them, and has stricken them; and the hills trembled, and their dead bodies were as filth in the midst of the streets. In all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

⁶ They shall be left together to the birds of the mountains, and to the beasts of the earth; and the birds shall summer on them, and all the beasts of the earth shall winter on them.

³³ And the bodies of this people shall be food for the birds of the heavens, and for the beasts of the earth; and none shall frighten them away.

¹ At that time, says Jehovah, they shall bring out the bones of the kings of Judah, and the bones of its rulers, and the bones of the priests, and the bones of the prophets, and the bones of the people of Jerusalem, out of their graves. ² And they shall spread them before the sun, and the moon, and all the host of the heavens, whom they have loved and whom they have served, and after whom they have walked, and whom they have sought, and whom they have worshiped. They shall not be gathered nor buried; they shall be as dung on the face of the earth. ³ And death shall be chosen rather than life by all the rest of those who remain of this evil family, who remain in all the places where I have driven them, says Jehovah of Hosts.

²² Speak, So says Jehovah, Even the bodies of men shall fall as dung on the open field, and as the fallen grain after the reaper; and none shall gather them.

¹⁵ So Jehovah says this concerning the prophets who prophesy in My name, and I did not send them; yet they say, Sword and famine shall not be in this land; by sword and famine those prophets shall be consumed. ¹⁶ And the people to whom they prophesy shall be cast out in the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and the sword; and they shall have none to bury them, either them, their wives, nor their sons, nor their daughters. For I will pour their evil on them.

² And it will be, if they say to you, Where shall we go? Then you shall tell them, So says Jehovah: Those who are for death, go to death; and those for the sword, to the sword; and those for the famine, to the famine; and those for the captivity, to the captivity. ³ And I will set over them four kinds, says Jehovah; the sword to kill, and the dogs to tear, and the birds of the heaven and the beasts of the earth to devour and destroy.

⁵ For so says Jehovah, Do not enter into the house of mourning; do not go to weep nor moan over them. ¹⁸ Therefore so says Jehovah concerning Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, They shall not mourn for him, saying, Ah, my brother! or, Ah, sister! They shall not mourn for him, saying, Ah, lord! or, Ah, his glory! ¹⁹ He shall be buried with the burial of an ass, drawn and cast forth beyond the gates of Jerusalem.

³³ And the slain of Jehovah shall be at that day from one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth; they shall not be mourned, nor gathered, nor buried. They shall be as dung on the ground.

¹⁷ So Jehovah says this: You have not listened to Me to proclaim liberty each man to his brother, and each man to his neighbor! Behold, I call for freedom for you, says Jehovah, to the sword, to the plague, and to the famine. And I will cause you to be a horror to all the kingdoms of the earth.

²⁰ I will even give them into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of those who seek their life. And their dead bodies shall be for food to the birds of the heavens and to the beasts of the earth.

³⁰ Therefore so says Jehovah of Jehoiakim king of Judah: He shall have no one to sit on the throne of David. And his dead body shall be cast out in the day to the heat, and in the night to the frost.

¹² And I will take the remnant of Judah, who have set their faces to go into the land of Egypt to live there; and they shall all be consumed, and fall in the land of Egypt. They shall be destroyed by the sword and by the famine. They shall die, from the least even to the greatest, by the sword and by the famine; and they shall be a curse, a wonder, and a shame, and a reproach.

²⁷ Behold, I will watch over them for evil, and not for good. And all the men of Judah in the land of Egypt shall be destroyed by the sword and by the famine, until there is an end of them.

¹² A third part of you shall die with the plague, and shall be consumed with the famine in your midst. And a third part shall fall by the sword all around you; and I will scatter a third part into all the winds, and I will draw out a sword after them.

¹⁷ And you, son of man, So says the Lord Jehovah. Speak to the bird of every wing, and to every beast of the field: Gather yourselves and come; gather yourselves from all around to My sacrifice that I sacrifice for you, a great sacrifice on the mountains of Israel, so that you may eat flesh and drink blood. ¹⁸ You shall eat the flesh of the mighty and drink the blood of the rulers of the earth, of rams, lambs, goats, and bulls, all of them fatlings of Bashan. ¹⁹ And you shall eat fat until you are full, and drink blood until you are drunk, of My sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you. ²⁰ And you shall be filled at My table with horses and chariots, with mighty men, all the men of war, says the Lord Jehovah.

⁹ And it shall be if ten men remain in one house, then they shall die. ¹⁰ And a man's uncle shall take him up, and he who burns him, to bring out the bones out of the house, and shall say to him left in the recesses of the house, Are any still with you? And he shall say, No. Then he shall say, Hush! For not one shall mention the name of Jehovah.

¹⁷ And I will bring distress on men, so that they shall walk with the blind, because they have sinned against Jehovah. And their blood shall be poured out as dust, and their flesh as dung.

¹⁷ And I saw one angel standing in the sun. And he cried with a great voice, saying to all the birds that fly in mid-heaven, Come and gather together to the supper of the great God, ¹⁸ so that you may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of commanders, and the flesh of strong ones, and the flesh of horses, and those sitting on them, and the flesh of all, both free and slave, both small and great.

¹⁷ Then My anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them. And I will hide My face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall befall them, so that they will say in that day, Have not these evils come on us because our God is not among us?

⁵ And in those times there was no peace to him who went out, nor to him who came in, but great tumult was on all the people of the lands. ⁶ And nation was beaten by nation, and city by city, for God troubled them with every distress.

¹¹ When its branches are dried up, they shall be broken off; the women come and set them on fire; for it is a people of no understanding. Therefore His Maker will not have mercy on them, and He who formed them will not favor them.

¹ Then Jehovah said to me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before Me, My soul could not be toward this people. Send them out of My sight, and let them go out. ² And it will be, if they say to you, Where shall we go? Then you shall tell them, So says Jehovah: Those who are for death, go to death; and those for the sword, to the sword; and those for the famine, to the famine; and those for the captivity, to the captivity. ³ And I will set over them four kinds, says Jehovah; the sword to kill, and the dogs to tear, and the birds of the heaven and the beasts of the earth to devour and destroy. ⁴ And I will make them a horror to all kingdoms of the earth, because of Manasseh the son of Hezekiah, king of Judah, for what he did in Jerusalem.

¹⁶ Son of man, behold, I take away from you the desire of your eyes with a stroke. Yet neither shall you mourn nor weep, nor shall your tears run down. ¹⁷ Groan but be silent; make no mourning for the dead; tie your turban on you, and put your sandals on your feet, and do not cover your lips, and do not eat the bread of men. ¹⁸ So I spoke to the people in the morning. And in the evening my wife died, and I did in the morning as I was commanded. ¹⁹ And the people said to me, Will you not tell us what these things mean to us, that you do so? ²⁰ And I answered them, The Word of Jehovah came to me, saying, ²¹ Speak to the house of Israel. So says the Lord Jehovah: behold, I will defile My sanctuary, the glory of your strength, the desire of your eyes, and that which your soul pities. And your sons and your daughters whom you have left shall fall by the sword. ²² And you shall do as I have done. You shall not cover your lips nor eat the bread of men. ²³ And your turbans shall be on your heads, and your sandals on your feet. You shall not mourn nor weep; but you shall pine away for your iniquities and mourn to one another.

¹⁰ For before these days there was no payment for man, nor was there payment for animal; and there was no peace to him from the adversary who went out or came in. For I sent every man, a man against his neighbor.

⁴ And another, a red horse, went out. And power was given to him sitting on it, to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another. And there was given to him a great sword.

²⁸ You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks on you. I am Jehovah.

¹ You are the sons of Jehovah your God. You shall not cut yourselves nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead.

¹⁴ And Jehovah will cut off from Israel head and tail, branch and rush, in one day. ¹⁵ The elder and honorable, he is the head; and the prophet who teaches lies, he is the tail. ¹⁶ For the leaders of this people led them astray; and their guided ones are swallowed up. ¹⁷ For this the Lord shall not rejoice over their young men, nor shall He have mercy on their orphans and widows; for everyone is a hypocrite and an evildoer, and every mouth speaks foolishness. In all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

¹² And in that day Jehovah of Hosts called to weeping and mourning, and to baldness, and to girding with sackcloth.

² And as it is with the people, so it shall be with the priest; as with the servant, so with the master; as with the handmaid, so it is with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the lender, so with the borrower; as with the creditor, so with the debtor.

²⁹ Cut off your hair and throw it away, and take up a weeping on the high places. For Jehovah has rejected and forsaken the generation of His wrath.

¹³ Then you shall say to them, So says Jehovah, Behold, I will fill all the people of this land, even the kings that sit on David's throne, and the priests, and the prophets, and all the people of Jerusalem, with drunkenness.

⁴ They shall die from deaths of diseases; they shall not be mourned, nor shall they be buried. But they shall be as dung on the face of the earth. And they shall be destroyed by the sword and by famine; and their bodies shall be food for the birds of the heavens and for the beasts of the earth.

⁵ some men from Shechem came from Shiloh, and from Samaria, even eighty men, with their beards shaved, and their clothes torn, and having cut themselves, with offerings and incense in their hand, to bring them to the house of Jehovah.

⁵ Baldness has come on Gaza. Ashkelon is cut off with the rest of their valley. How long will you cut yourself?

³⁷ For every head shall be bald, and every beard clipped. On all the hands shall be cuttings, and on the loins sackcloth.

⁵ And He said to those in my hearing, Go over in the city after him, and strike. Let not your eye spare, nor have pity. ⁶ Fully destroy old men, young men and virgins, and little children and women. But do not come near any man on whom is the mark. And begin at My sanctuary. And they began at the old men who were before the house.

¹¹ For, behold, Jehovah commands, and He will strike the great house into pieces, and the little house into cracks.

¹⁵ And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every freeman, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains.

¹² And I saw the dead, the small and the great, stand before God. And books were opened, and another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

¹⁴ I have not eaten of it in my mourning, neither have I put any of it away for unclean use, nor have I given of it for the dead. I have listened to the voice of Jehovah my God, and have done according to all that You have commanded me.

¹¹ And came to him all his brothers, and all his sisters, and all those who had known him before. And they ate bread with him in his house, and consoled him and comforted him over all the evil that Jehovah had brought on him. Each one also gave him a piece of money, and each one a ring of gold.

⁶ Give strong drink to him who is ready to perish, and wine to those who are of heavy hearts. ⁷ Let him drink, and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more.

¹⁷ Groan but be silent; make no mourning for the dead; tie your turban on you, and put your sandals on your feet, and do not cover your lips, and do not eat the bread of men.

⁴ They shall not pour wine to Jehovah, nor shall they be pleasing to Him. Their sacrifices shall be like the bread of sorrows to them; all who eat of them shall be defiled. For their bread is for their soul, it shall not come into the house of Jehovah.

⁴ I have not sat with lying men, neither will I go in with hypocrites.

² It is better to go to the house of mourning than to go to the house of feasting; for that is the end of all men; and the living will lay it to his heart. ³ Sorrow is better than laughter; for by the sadness of the face the heart is made better. ⁴ The heart of the wise is in the house of mourning; but the heart of fools is in the house of laughter.

¹² And in that day Jehovah of Hosts called to weeping and mourning, and to baldness, and to girding with sackcloth. ¹³ Then, lo, joy and gladness, slaying oxen and killing sheep, eating flesh and drinking wine, saying, Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die! ¹⁴ And it was revealed in my ears by Jehovah of Hosts, Surely this iniquity shall not be purged from you until you die, says the Lord Jehovah of Hosts.

¹⁷ I did not sit in the circle of mockers, nor rejoice; I sat alone because of Your hand; for You have filled me with indignation.

⁴ who lie on beds of ivory, and those sprawling on their couches, and eat lambs out of the flock, and the calves out of the midst of the stall; ⁵ who chant with the mouth of the harp; they invent instruments of music for themselves, like David; ⁶ who drink wine in bowls, and anoint themselves with the best of oils; nor do they grieve for the breaking of Joseph!

³⁸ For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day Noah entered into the ark.

²⁷ They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark; and the flood came and destroyed them all. ²⁸ So also as it was in the days of Lot: they ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; ²⁹ but the day Lot went out of Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from the heaven and destroyed them all.

¹¹ But now I have written to you not to associate intimately, if any man called a brother and is either a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such a one not to eat.

¹¹ And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

⁷ The new wine mourns, the vine droops, all the merry-hearted sigh. ⁸ The gladness of tambourines ceases, the noise of those who rejoice ends; the joy of the harp ceases. ⁹ They shall not drink wine with a song; strong drink shall be bitter to those who drink it. ¹⁰ The city of shame is broken down; every house is shut up so that no one may come in. ¹¹ A crying for wine is in the streets; all joy is darkened, the gladness in the land has gone. ¹² In the city is left desolation, and the gate is stricken with ruin.

³⁴ Then I will cause the voice of gladness to cease from the cities of Judah and from the streets of Jerusalem, and the voice of joy, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride. For the land shall be desolate.

¹⁰ And I will take from them the voice of rejoicing and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the sound of the millstones and the light of the candle.

¹³ And I will cause the noise of your songs to cease; and the sound of your harps shall be heard no more.

¹¹ I will also cause all her joy to cease, her feast days, her new moons, and her sabbaths, and all her appointed feasts.

²² And the voice of harpers, and of musicians. and flutists, and of trumpeters will be heard no more at all in you. And every craftsman of any craft will not be found any more in you. And the sound of a mill will never more be heard at all in you. ²³ And the light of a lamp will never more shine at all in you. And the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride will never more be heard at all in you. For your merchants were the great ones of the earth; for by your sorceries all nations were deceived.

²⁴ even all nations shall say, Why has Jehovah done this to this land? For what is the heat of this great anger? ²⁵ Then men shall say, Because they have forsaken the covenant of Jehovah, the God of their fathers, which He made with them when He brought them forth out of the land of Egypt.

⁸ As to this house which is exalted, everyone who passes by it shall be amazed and shall hiss. And they shall say, Why has Jehovah done this to this land and to this house? ⁹ And they shall answer, Because they left Jehovah their God who brought out their fathers from the land of Egypt, and have taken hold on other gods and have worshiped them and served them. On account of this Jehovah has brought on them all this evil.

³⁵ Yet you say, Because I am innocent, surely His anger shall turn from me. Behold, I will plead with you, because you say, I have not sinned.

¹⁹ And it will be, when you shall say, Why does Jehovah our God do all these things to us? Then You shall answer them, Just as you have forsaken Me and served foreign gods in your land, so you shall serve strangers in a land that is not yours.

²² And if you say in your heart, Why do these things come on me? It is because of the greatness of your iniquity; your skirts are bared, and your heels suffer violence.

⁸ And many nations shall pass by this city, and they shall say each one to his neighbor, Why has Jehovah done this to this great city? ⁹ Then they shall answer, Because they have forsaken the covenant of Jehovah their God, and worshiped other gods, and served them.

⁸ And Ephraim said, Yet I have become rich, I have found much wealth for myself. In all my labors they shall find in me no iniquity that is sin.

²⁵ Then men shall say, Because they have forsaken the covenant of Jehovah, the God of their fathers, which He made with them when He brought them forth out of the land of Egypt. ²⁶ For they went and served other gods, and worshiped them, gods whom they did not know, and who had not given to them any portion.

¹² And they forsook Jehovah, the God of their fathers, who brought them out of the land of Egypt. And they followed other gods of the gods of the people who were around them, and bowed themselves to them, and provoked Jehovah to anger. ¹³ And they forsook Jehovah and served Baal and Ashtaroth.

¹³ Yet you have forsaken Me and served other gods; therefore, I will deliver you no more. ¹⁴ Go and cry to the gods which you have chosen. Let them deliver you in the time of your tribulation.

⁹ And they shall answer, Because they left Jehovah their God who brought out their fathers from the land of Egypt, and have taken hold on other gods and have worshiped them and served them. On account of this Jehovah has brought on them all this evil.

²⁶ But they were disobedient and rebelled against You, and cast Your Law behind their backs. And they killed Your prophets who testified against them to turn them to You, and they worked great blasphemies. ²⁷ And You delivered them into the hand of their enemies, who troubled them. And in the time of their trouble, they cried to You, and You heard from Heaven. And according to Your manifold mercies, You gave them deliverers, who saved them out of the hand of their enemies. ²⁸ But after they had rest, they did evil again before You, and You left them in the hand of their enemies, so that they had the rule over them. But they returned and cried to You, and You heard from Heaven. And many times You delivered them according to Your mercies, ²⁹ and testified against them that You might bring them again to Your Law. But they acted proudly and did not listen to Your commandments, but sinned against Your judgments (which if a man do, he shall live in them), and withdrew the shoulder, and hardened their neck, and would not hear.

³⁵ but were mixed among the nations, and learned their works. ³⁶ And they served their idols, which were a snare to them. ³⁷ Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters to demons, ³⁸ and shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan; and the land was defiled with blood. ³⁹ And they were defiled with their works, and went lusting in their doings. ⁴⁰ And the wrath of Jehovah was kindled against His people, and He detested His inheritance. ⁴¹ And He gave them into the hand of the nations; and those who hated them ruled over them.

⁸ The priests did not say, Where is Jehovah? And they who handle the Law did not know Me; the shepherds also rebelled against Me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after things not profitable.

⁷ Why shall I pardon you for this? Your sons have forsaken Me, and have sworn by No-gods. When I adjured them, then they committed adultery, and gathered themselves by troops in a harlot's house. ⁸ They were like lusty, well-fed stallions in the morning; every one neighing after his neighbor's wife. ⁹ Shall I not judge for these things? says Jehovah. And shall not My soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

² And they shall spread them before the sun, and the moon, and all the host of the heavens, whom they have loved and whom they have served, and after whom they have walked, and whom they have sought, and whom they have worshiped. They shall not be gathered nor buried; they shall be as dung on the face of the earth.

¹⁴ but they have walked after the stubbornness of their own heart, and after the Baals, which their fathers taught them.

⁹ Then they shall answer, Because they have forsaken the covenant of Jehovah their God, and worshiped other gods, and served them.

²¹ And as to those whose heart is going after their hateful things, and also their heart is after their disgusting idols, I will give their way on their own heads, says the Lord Jehovah.

¹⁰ We have not obeyed the voice of Jehovah our God, to walk in His Laws which He set before us by His servants the prophets. ¹¹ Yea, all Israel has transgressed Your Law, and turned aside, that they might not obey Your voice. Therefore the curse has been poured out on us, and the oath that is written in the Law of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against Him. ¹² And He has confirmed His Words which He spoke against us and against our judges who judged us, by bringing on us a great evil. For under all the heavens it has not been done as it has been done to Jerusalem.

³ For the time of life which is past is enough for us to have worked out the will of the nations, having gone on in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, parties, carousings, and abominable idolatries.

⁵ And Jehovah saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

²¹ And Jehovah smelled a sweet odor. And Jehovah said in His heart, I will never again curse the ground for man's sake, because the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth. And I will not again smite every living thing as I have done.

²⁷ Remember Your servants, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Do not look to the stubbornness of this people, nor to their wickedness, nor to their sin,

¹⁹ and it happens when he hears the words of this curse, that he shall bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, though I walk in the stubbornness of my heart, to snatch away the drunken with the thirsty.

¹⁹ And it happened when the judge was dead, they returned and made themselves more rotten than their fathers in following other gods to serve them, and to bow down to them. They did not cease from their own doings nor from their stubborn way.

²³ For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idol-worship. Because you have rejected the Word of Jehovah, He has also rejected you from being king!

¹² Though a sinner does evil a hundred times, and his days be made longer, yet surely I know that it shall be well with those who fear God, who fear before Him.

³ This is an evil among all things that are done under the sun, that there is one event to all. Yea, also the heart of the sons of men is full of evil, and madness is in their heart while they live, and after that they go to the dead.

²⁴ But they did not listen, nor bow their ear, but walked in their own plans, in the stubbornness of their evil heart, and went backward and not forward.

²⁶ Yet they did not listen to Me, nor bow down their ear, but hardened their neck. They did worse than their fathers.

¹⁰ This evil people, who refuse to hear My Words, who walk in the stubbornness of their heart and walk after other gods to serve them and to worship them, shall even be like this girdle, which is good for nothing.

⁹ The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it?

²¹ For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,

¹³ But evil men and seducers will go forward to worse, deceiving and being deceived.

¹² Take heed, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.

²⁷ For the men of the land who were before you have done all these abominations, and the land is defiled. ²⁸ You shall not do these so that the land may not spew you out also when you defile it, as it spewed out the nations that were before you.

²⁶ I call Heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that you shall soon utterly perish from off the land which you are crossing over Jordan to possess. You shall not prolong your days upon it, but shall utterly be destroyed. ²⁷ And Jehovah shall scatter you among the nations, and you shall be left few in number among the nations where Jehovah shall drive you. ²⁸ And there you shall serve gods, the work of men's hands, wood and stone, which neither see nor hear nor eat nor smell.

³⁶ Jehovah shall bring you, and your king which you shall set over you, to a nation which neither you nor your fathers have known. And there you shall serve other gods, wood and stone.

⁶³ And it shall be, as Jehovah rejoiced over you to do you good and to multiply you, so Jehovah will rejoice over you to destroy you and to bring you to nothing. And you shall be plucked from off the land where you go to possess it. ⁶⁴ And Jehovah shall scatter you among all people, from the one end of the earth even to the other, and you shall serve other gods there, which neither you nor your fathers have known, wood and stone. ⁶⁵ And among these nations you shall find no ease, neither shall the sole of your foot have rest. But Jehovah shall give you there a trembling heart and failing of eyes and sorrow of mind.

²⁸ And Jehovah rooted them out of their land in anger and wrath, and in great indignation, and cast them into another land, as it is today.

¹⁷ But if you turn away your heart, so that you will not hear, but shall be drawn away and worship other gods and serve them, ¹⁸ I declare to you today that you shall surely perish; you shall not prolong your days on the land where you pass over Jordan to go to possess it.

¹⁵ And it shall be, as comes to you every good thing which Jehovah your God has spoken to you has come to you, so shall Jehovah bring on you every evil thing until He has destroyed you from off this good land which Jehovah your God has given you, ¹⁶ when you transgress the covenant of Jehovah your God, which He commanded you, and have gone and served other gods, and bowed yourselves to them, then shall the anger of Jehovah be kindled against you, and you shall perish quickly from off the good land which He has given to you.

²⁰ then I will pluck them up by the roots out of My land which I have given them. And this house which I have sanctified for My name, I will cast out of My sight, and I will make it to be a proverb and a byword among all nations.

¹² So I gave them up to the stubbornness of their own hearts; and they walked in their own conceits.

¹⁵ Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? No, they were not at all ashamed, nor could they blush; therefore they shall fall among those who fall. At the time that I visit them they shall be cast down, says Jehovah.

⁸ O the Hope of Israel, its Savior in time of trouble, why should You be as a stranger in the land, and as a traveler turning in to lodge?

⁴ And I will make them a horror to all kingdoms of the earth, because of Manasseh the son of Hezekiah, king of Judah, for what he did in Jerusalem.

¹⁴ And I will make you pass with your enemies into a land which you do not know. For a fire has been kindled in My anger; it shall burn against you.

⁴ And you, even through yourself, have let go of the inheritance which I gave you; and I will cause you to serve your enemies in a land which you do not know. For you have kindled a fire in My anger, which shall burn forever.

²⁸ Is this man Coniah a despised broken jar? Is he a vessel in which there is no pleasure? Why are they cast out, he and his seed, and are cast into a land which they do not know?

² I am Jehovah your God, who has brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

¹⁵ And you shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and Jehovah your God redeemed you. Therefore I command you this thing today.

¹⁸ Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. ¹⁹ Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall sprout; shall you not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, rivers in the desert.

⁷ Therefore, behold, the days come, says Jehovah, that they shall no more say, Jehovah lives, who brought the sons of Israel up out of the land of Egypt; ⁸ but, Jehovah lives, who brought up and led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries where I have driven them. And they shall dwell in their own land.

⁴ For the sons of Israel shall live many days with no king, and no ruler, and with no sacrifice, and no pillars, and no ephod, or teraphim. ⁵ Afterward the sons of Israel shall return and seek Jehovah their God and David their king. And they shall fear Jehovah and His goodness in the ends of the days.

⁴ For I brought you up out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of slaves; and I sent Moses, Aaron, and Miriam before you.

³ then Jehovah your God will turn your captivity. And He will have compassion on you, and will return and gather you from all the nations where Jehovah your God has scattered you. ⁴ If you are driven out into the outermost parts of the heavens, Jehovah your God will gather you from there, and He will bring you from there. ⁵ And Jehovah your God will bring you into the land which your fathers possessed, and you shall possess it. And He will do you good, and multiply you above your fathers.

⁴⁷ Save us, O Jehovah our God, and gather us from among the nations, to give thanks to Your holy name and to triumph in Your praise.

¹¹ And it shall be in that day, the Lord shall again set His hand, the second time, to recover the remnant of His people that remains, from Assyria and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Ethiopia, and from Persia, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the coasts of the sea. ¹² And He shall lift up a banner for the nations, and shall gather the outcasts of Israel and gather together the scattered ones of Judah from the four corners of the earth. ¹³ And the envy of Ephraim shall depart, and the foes of Judah shall be cut off; Ephraim shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not trouble Ephraim. ¹⁴ But they shall fly on the shoulders of the Philistines to the west; they shall spoil the sons of the east together; they shall lay their hand on Edom and Moab; and the sons of Ammon shall obey them. ¹⁵ And Jehovah shall utterly destroy the tongue of the Egyptian sea; and with His scorching wind He shall shake His hand over the River, and shall strike it into seven streams, and make one tread it with shoes. ¹⁶ And there shall be a highway for the remnant of His people, those left from Assyria; as it was to Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt.

⁵ They come from a far country, from the end of the heavens, Jehovah and the weapons of His indignation, to destroy all the land. ⁶ Howl! For the day of Jehovah is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.

¹ For Jehovah will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel and set them in their own land; and the stranger shall be joined with them, and they shall cling to the house of Jacob.

¹² And it shall be, in that day Jehovah shall thresh from the stream of the river Euphrates to the torrent of Egypt, and you shall be gathered one by one, O sons of Israel. ¹³ And it shall be, in that day the great ram's horn shall be blown, and those perishing in the land of Assyria shall come, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt shall come and shall worship Jehovah in the holy mountain at Jerusalem.

¹⁸ In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given for an inheritance to your fathers.

⁸ but, Jehovah lives, who brought up and led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries where I have driven them. And they shall dwell in their own land.

⁶ For I will set My eyes on them for good, and I will bring them again to this land. And I will build them and not pull them down; and I will plant them and not pluck them up.

³ For, lo, the days come, says Jehovah, that I will bring again the captivity of My people Israel and Judah, says Jehovah. And I will cause them to return to the land that I gave their fathers, and they shall possess it.

¹⁰ And you, O My servant Jacob, do not fear, says Jehovah. Do not be terrified, O Israel. For lo, I will save you from afar, and your seed from the land of their captivity. And Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid.

⁸ Behold, I will bring them from the north country and gather them from the corners of the earth, and with them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and she who is in labor with child, together; a great company shall return there.

³⁷ Behold, I will gather them out of all the lands where I have driven them in My anger, and in My fury, and in great wrath. And I will bring them again to this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely.

¹⁹ And I will again bring Israel to his home, and he shall feed on Carmel and Bashan, and his soul shall be satisfied on Mount Ephraim and Gilead.

¹² As a shepherd seeks out his flock in the day that he is among his scattered sheep, so I will seek out My sheep and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day. ¹³ And I will bring them out from the peoples, and gather them from the lands, and will bring them to their own land and feed them on the mountain of Israel by the rivers, and in all the places of the land where people live. ¹⁴ I will feed them in a good pasture, and their fold shall be on the high mountains of Israel. There they shall lie in a good fold, and in a fat pasture they shall feed on the mountains of Israel.

²⁴ For I will take you from among the nations and gather you out of all lands, and will gather you into your own land.

²¹ And say to them, So says the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will take the sons of Israel from among the nations where they have gone, and will gather them on every side, and will bring them into their own land. ²² And I will make them one nation in the land on the mountains of Israel, and one King shall be king to them all. And they shall not still be two nations, nor shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all.

²⁸ then they shall know that I am Jehovah their God who exiled them among the nations. But I have gathered them to their own land, and have not left any of them there.

¹⁴ And I will turn back the captivity of My people Israel, and they shall build the cities which are desolate, and they shall live in them. And they shall plant vineyards and drink their wine. They shall also make gardens and eat their fruit.

⁹ He was a mighty hunter before Jehovah. Therefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before Jehovah.

¹¹ And, my father, behold! Yes, see the skirt of your robe in my hand. For in that I cut off the skirt of your robe and did not kill you, know and see that there is neither evil nor transgression in my hand, and I have not sinned against you. Yet you hunt my soul to take it.

²⁰ And now, let not my blood fall to the earth before the face of Jehovah. For the king of Israel has come out to seek a flea, as when one hunts a partridge in the mountains.

¹⁷ Dread, and the pit, and the snare are on you, O dweller of the earth. ¹⁸ And it shall be, he who flees from the sound of dread shall fall into the pit. And he who comes up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare. For the windows from on high are opened, and the foundations of the earth quake.

⁹ behold, I will send and take all the families of the north, says Jehovah, and Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, My servant; and will bring them against this land, and against its people, and against all these nations all around. And I will completely destroy them, and make them a waste, and a hissing, and everlasting ruins.

² The Lord Jehovah has sworn by His holiness that the days shall come on you that He will lift you up with meat hooks, and your sons with fishhooks.

¹⁹ as if a man fled from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house and leaned his hand on the wall, and a snake bit him.

¹ I saw the Lord standing by the altar. And He said, Strike the capital of the door, so that the thresholds shall shake; and break them on the head of all of them. And I will kill the last of them with the sword. Not one of them fleeing will flee, and not a fugitive of them will escape. ² If they dig into hell, there My hand shall take them. And if they go up to the heavens, I will bring them down from there. ³ And if they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, I will search and take them out from there. And if they are hidden from My sight in the bottom of the sea, I will command the serpent there, and he shall bite them.

² The pious has perished from the earth, and there is none upright among men. For they all lie in wait for blood; each one hunts his brother with a net.

¹⁴ For You make man like the fish of the sea, like creeping things with no ruler over them. ¹⁵ He takes up all of them with the hook; he drags him with his net and gathers him with his seine; therefore he rejoices and exults.

³⁴ I tell you, in that night there shall be two in one bed, the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left. ³⁵ Two shall be grinding together, one will be taken, and the other left. ³⁶ Two shall be in the field, one will be taken, and the other left. ³⁷ And they answered and said to Him, Where, Lord? And He said to them, Wherever the body is, there the eagles will be gathered together.

¹⁵ And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every freeman, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains. ¹⁶ And they said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him sitting on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb; ¹⁷ for the great day of His wrath has come, and who will be able to stand?

⁹ For the eyes of Jehovah run to and fro in all the whole earth to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is perfect toward Him. You have done foolishly in this; therefore from now on you shall have wars.

²¹ For His eyes are on the ways of man, and He sees all his steps. ²² There is no darkness, nor shadow of death to hide there the workers of iniquity.

⁸ You have set our iniquities before You, our secret sins in the light of Your face.

³ You search my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways.

²¹ For the ways of man are before the eyes of Jehovah, and He watches all his paths.

³ The eyes of Jehovah are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.

¹⁵ Woe to those who go deep to hide their purpose from Jehovah! And their works are in the dark, and they say, Who sees us? And who knows us?

²⁴ Can anyone hide himself in secret places so that I shall not see him? says Jehovah. Do I not fill the heavens and earth? says Jehovah.

¹⁹ great in wisdom and mighty in work; for Your eyes are open on all the ways of the sons of men, to give every one according to his ways and according to the fruit of his doings.

¹² And He said to me, Son of man, have you seen what the elders of the house of Israel do in the dark, each man in his image room? For they are saying, Jehovah does not see us; Jehovah has forsaken the earth.

⁹ And He said to me, The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is great, and the land is full of blood, and the city is full of perversity. For they say, Jehovah has forsaken the land; and, Jehovah does not see.

¹ In the meantime, when there had gathered together an innumerable crowd of people, so as to trample on one another, He began to say to His disciples first, Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. ² For there is nothing covered that shall not be revealed, nor anything hidden that shall not be known.

⁵ Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts. And then shall each one have praise of God.

¹³ Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in His sight, but all things are naked and opened to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do.

³⁰ And I will destroy your high places and cut down your images, and throw your carcasses on the carcasses of your idols, and My soul shall despise you.

³³ So you shall not defile the land in which you are. For blood defiles the land. And the land cannot be cleansed of the blood that is shed in it, except by the blood of him that shed it. ³⁴ So do not defile the land which you shall inhabit, in which I dwell. For I Jehovah dwell among the sons of Israel.

³⁸ and shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan; and the land was defiled with blood.

⁵ And the land is defiled under its people; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, and have broken the everlasting covenant.

² Speak lovingly to the heart of Jerusalem, and cry to her that her warfare is done, that her iniquity is pardoned; for she has received of Jehovah's hand double for all her sins.

⁷ For your shame you will have double; and for disgrace they will rejoice in their portion; therefore in their own land they will possess double; everlasting joy will be theirs.

⁷ And I brought you into a plentiful country, to eat its fruit and its goodness; but when you entered, you defiled My land and made My inheritance an abomination.

¹ They say, If a man puts away his wife, and she goes from him and will be for another man, will he return to her again? Would not that land be greatly defiled? But you play the harlot with many lovers; yet come back to Me, says Jehovah. ² Lift up your eyes to the high places, and see. Where have you not been lain with? By the highways you have sat for them, like the Arabian in the wilderness; and you have defiled the land with your fornications and with your wickedness.

⁹ And it happened, from the folly of her whoredom, she defiled the land and fornicated with stones and stocks.

¹⁸ Let those who persecute me be ashamed, but do not let me be ashamed; let them be afraid, but do not let me be afraid. Bring on them the day of evil, and destroy them with double breaking.

¹⁸ And they shall come there, and they shall take away all its hateful things and all its abominations from it.

⁷ And He said to me, Son of man, the house of Israel shall no more defile the place of My throne, and the place of the soles of My feet, where I will dwell in the midst of the sons of Israel forever; neither they, nor their kings, by their fornication, nor by the dead bodies of their kings in their high places. ⁸ In their setting of their doorstep by My threshold, and their doorpost by My doorpost; and the wall between Me and them, they have even defiled My holy name by their abominations which they have done. And I have consumed them in My anger. ⁹ Now let them put away their fornication, and the dead bodies of their kings from Me, and I will dwell in their midst forever.

¹⁰ Arise and depart! For this is not your rest, because of destroying uncleanness, even a grievous destruction.

¹ Woe to her rebelling and becoming defiled, to the oppressing city! ² She did not obey the voice; she did not receive correction. She trusted not in Jehovah; she did not draw near to her God. ³ Her rulers within her are roaring lions; her judges evening wolves. They do not gnaw bones for the morning. ⁴ Her prophets are proud, men of deceit; her priests have defiled the sanctuary; they have done violence to the Law. ⁵ The just Jehovah is in her midst; He will not act perversely. Every morning He gives His justice to the light; He fails not; but the perverse knows no shame.

⁶ Reward her as she has rewarded you, and double to her double, according to her works. In the cup which she mixed, mix double to her.

And He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths. For out of Zion shall go out the Law, and the Word of Jehovah from Jerusalem.

⁹ They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain; for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of Jehovah, as the waters cover the sea. ¹⁰ And in that day there shall be the Root of Jesse standing for a banner of the people; to Him the nations shall seek; and His resting place shall be glorious.

⁴ For You are a stronghold to the poor, a stronghold to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the fearful ones is like a storm against the wall.

² And a man shall be as a hiding place from the wind, and a shelter from the tempest, like streams of water in a dry place, like the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.

¹⁰ Who has formed a god, or melted a graven image that is good for nothing?

⁶ And He said, It is but a little thing that You should be My servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to bring back the preserved ones of Israel; I will also give You for a light to the nations, to be My salvation to the end of the earth.

¹ Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of Jehovah has risen on you. ² For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the peoples; but Jehovah shall rise on you, and His glory shall be seen on you. ³ And the nations shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawning.

² And the nations will see your righteousness, and all kings your glory; and you will be called by a new name, which the mouth of Jehovah will name.

¹¹ Has a nation changed their gods who are yet no gods? But My people have changed their Glory for that which does not profit.

¹⁶ And it will be when you have multiplied and increased in the land, in those days, says Jehovah, they shall say no more, The ark of the covenant of Jehovah! Nor shall it come to mind; nor shall they remember it; nor shall they visit it; nor shall it be made any more. ¹⁷ At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of Jehovah; and all nations shall be gathered to it, to the name of Jehovah, to Jerusalem. Nor shall they walk any more after the stubbornness of their evil heart.

²³ Truly, for delusion comes from the high hills, tumult on the mountains. Truly, in Jehovah our God is the salvation of Israel.

⁵ They are like a rounded post, and they cannot speak. They must surely be lifted, because they cannot walk. Do not be afraid of them; for they cannot do evil nor good, for it is not in them.

¹⁴ Every man is stupid for lack of knowledge; every refiner is put to shame by the graven image; for his molten image is a lie, and no breath is in them. ¹⁵ They are vanity, the work of delusion; in the time of their judgment they shall perish.

¹⁷ Do not be a terror to me; You are my hope in the day of evil.

¹⁶ Therefore say, So says the Lord Jehovah: Though I have sent them far off among the nations, and though I scattered them among the lands, yet I will be to them as a little sanctuary in the lands where they had gone.

¹ But it shall be in the last days the mountain of the house of Jehovah shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be lifted up above the hills; and peoples shall flow to it. ² And many nations shall come and say, Come and let us go up to the mountain of Jehovah, and to the house of the God of Jacob. And He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths; for the Law shall go forth out of Zion, and the Word of Jehovah from Jerusalem.

⁷ Jehovah is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knows those who trust in Him.

¹⁸ What does an image profit, for its maker has carved it; a molten image, and a teacher of lies? For does the maker trust in his work on it, to make dumb idols? ¹⁹ Woe to him who says to the wood. Awake! To a dumb stone, Arise, it shall teach! Behold, it is overlaid with gold and silver, and no breath is in its midst.

¹⁹ Jehovah the Lord is my strength, and He will make my feet like hinds' feet, and He will make me to walk on my high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.

¹¹ And many nations shall be joined to Jehovah in that day, and shall be My people; and I will dwell in your midst, and you shall know that Jehovah of Hosts has sent me to you.

²⁰ So says Jehovah of Hosts: There yet shall be peoples and inhabitants of many cities; ²¹ and the residents of one shall go to another, saying, Let us go at once to seek favor of the face of Jehovah, and to seek Jehovah of Hosts; I will go also. ²² And many peoples and strong nations shall come to seek Jehovah of Hosts in Jerusalem and to seek the favor of the face of Jehovah. ²³ So says Jehovah of Hosts: In those days ten men, out of all languages of the nations, shall take hold, and will seize the skirt of a man, a Jew, saying, We will go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.

¹¹ For from the rising of the sun even to its going in, My name shall be great among the nations; and everywhere incense shall be offered to My name, and a pure food offering. For My name shall be great among the nations, says Jehovah of Hosts.

¹⁸ knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, silver or gold, from your vain manner of life handed down from your fathers,

⁹ After these things I looked, and lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, out of all nations and kindreds and people and tongues, stood before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palms in their hands. ¹⁰ And they cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God sitting on the throne, and to the Lamb. ¹¹ And all the angels stood around the throne, and the elders, and the four living creatures, and they fell before the throne on their faces and worshiped God,

¹⁵ And the seventh angel sounded. And there were great voices in Heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of His Christ. And He will reign forever and ever.

⁴ Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men's hands. ⁵ They have mouths, but they do not speak; they have eyes, but they do not see; ⁶ they have ears, but they do not hear; they have noses, but they do not smell; ⁷ they have hands, but they do not handle; they have feet, but they do not walk; they do not mutter through their throat. ⁸ The ones who make them are like them, and everyone who trusts in them.

¹⁴ For Jehovah will judge His people, and He will have pity on His servants. ¹⁵ The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of men's hands. ¹⁶ They have mouths, but they do not speak; they have eyes, but they do not see; ¹⁷ they have ears, but they do not hear, nor is there breath in their mouths. ¹⁸ Those who make them are like them, everyone who trusts in them.

¹⁹ Where are the gods of Hamath and Arpad? Where are the gods of Sepharvaim? And when have they delivered Samaria out of my hand?

¹⁹ and have cast their gods into the fire, for they were no gods, but the work of men's hands, wood and stone; so they have destroyed them.

⁴ They have set up kings, but not by Me; they have made rulers, and I knew it not. They have made themselves idols with their silver and their gold, so that they may be cut off. ⁵ Your calf, O Samaria, has cast you off. My anger is kindled against them. Until when will they not attain purity? ⁶ For from Israel it came also. The craftsman made it, but it is not God. For the calf of Samaria shall be splinters.

²⁶ And you see and hear that, not only at Ephesus, but almost all Asia, this Paul having persuaded, he has perverted a huge crowd, saying that those which are made with hands are no gods.

⁸ But even if we or an angel from Heaven preach a gospel to you beside what we preached to you, let him be accursed.

⁸ But then, indeed, not knowing God, you served as slaves to those not by nature being gods.

¹⁴ For I am going to send at this time all My plagues upon your heart, and upon your servants, and upon your people, so that you may know that there is none like Me in all the earth. ¹⁵ For now I will stretch out My hand, that I may strike you and your people with plagues, and you shall be cut off from the earth. ¹⁶ And for this I have made you stand, to make you see My power, to declare My name in all the land. ¹⁷ Do you still exalt yourself against My people, that you will not let them go? ¹⁸ Behold! Tomorrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as has not been in Egypt since the foundation of it even until now!

⁴ And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, that he will follow them. And I will be honored upon Pharaoh, and upon all his army, so that the Egyptians may know that I am Jehovah. And they did so.

³ Jehovah is a Man of war; Jehovah is His name.

¹⁶ Jehovah is known. He has executed judgment; the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. A meditation. Selah.

¹⁸ so that men may know that Your name is JEHOVAH, that You alone are the Most High over all the earth.

³ For I am Jehovah your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I gave Egypt for your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for you.

² So says Jehovah the Maker of it, Jehovah who formed it in order to establish it; Jehovah is His name:

⁷ And the slain shall fall in the midst of you, and you shall know that I am Jehovah.

²⁴ So Ezekiel is a sign to you. According to all that he has done, you shall do. And when this comes, you shall know that I am the Lord Jehovah.

²⁷ In that day your mouth shall be open to him who has escaped, and you shall speak and be no more dumb. And you shall be a sign to them, and they shall know that I am Jehovah.

¹⁴ And I will lay My vengeance on Edom by the hand of My people Israel. And they shall do in Edom according to My anger and according to My fury. And they shall know My vengeance, says the Lord Jehovah.

⁸ seek Him who created the Pleiades and Orion, and who turned the deep darkness into the morning and He darkened the day into night. Seek Him who calls for the waters of the sea, and pours them out on the face of the earth; Jehovah is His name;
