⁸ Flee, turn back, dwell deep, O people of Dedan. For I will bring the calamity of Esau on him in the time that I will visit him.

³⁰ Flee, go far away, go deep to dwell; O people of Hazor, says Jehovah; for Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon has taken counsel against you, and has plotted a plan against you.

³² And their camels shall be a prize, and the multitude of their cattle a prey. And I will scatter them to all winds, those who cut the corners. And I will bring their calamity from all sides of it, says Jehovah.

²¹ Rejoice and be glad, O daughter of Edom, who lives in the land of Uz. ¹ I saw the Lord standing by the altar. And He said, Strike the capital of the door, so that the thresholds shall shake; and break them on the head of all of them. And I will kill the last of them with the sword. Not one of them fleeing will flee, and not a fugitive of them will escape. ² If they dig into hell, there My hand shall take them. And if they are hidden from My sight in the bottom of the sea, I will command the serpent there, and he shall bite them.

³ The pride of your heart has deceived you, dwelling in the clefts of the rock, his dwelling is lofty; saying in his heart, Who shall bring me down to the ground? ⁴ Though you rise high like the eagle, and though you set your nest between the stars, I will bring you down from there, says Jehovah.

¹⁵ Therefore when you see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place (whoever reads, let him understand). ¹⁶ Then let those in Judea flee into the mountains. ¹⁷ Let him on the housetop not come down to take anything out of his house; ¹⁸ nor let him in the field turn back to take his clothes.

¹⁵ And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every freeman, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains.
