³² Besides what I see, You teach me; if I have done iniquity, I will do it no more.

² I will say to God, Do not condemn me; make me know why You contend with me.

²⁷ He will observe to men, and say, I have sinned and perverted righteousness; and it was not equally repaid to me,

¹¹ who teaches us more than the animals of the earth, and makes us wiser than the birds of the heavens?

¹² Who can understand his errors? Oh make me pure from secret faults;

⁴ Make me know Your ways, O Jehovah; teach me Your paths. ⁵ Lead me in Your truth, and teach me; for You are the God of my salvation; on You I wait all the day long.

⁸ I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you, My eye shall be on you.

²³ Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me, and know my thoughts, ²⁴ and see if any wicked way is in me; and lead me in the way everlasting.

⁸ Cause me to hear Your loving-kindness in the morning, for I do trust in You; cause me to know the way in which I should walk, for I lift up my soul to You. ⁹ Deliver me, O Jehovah, from my enemies; I flee to You to hide me. ¹⁰ Teach me to do Your will; for You are my God; Your Spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.

¹³ He who covers his sins shall not be blessed; but whoever confesses and leaves them shall have mercy.

⁸ Therefore bring forth fruits worthy of repentance, and do not begin to say within yourselves, We have Abraham for our father. For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones. ⁹ And now also the axe is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bring forth good fruit is cut down and cast into the fire. ¹⁰ And the people asked him, saying, What shall we do then? ¹¹ He answered and said to them, He who has two coats, let him give to him who has none. And he who has food, let him do likewise. ¹² And tax-collectors also came to be baptized and said to him, Teacher, what shall we do? ¹³ And he said to them, Continue to do no more than that commanded to you. ¹⁴ And the soldiers also asked of him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said to them, Do not forcibly extort anyone, nor accuse any falsely. And be content with your wages.

²² For you ought to put off the old man (according to your way of living before) who is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts,

²⁵ Therefore putting away lying, let each man speak truth with his neighbor, for we are members of one another. ²⁶ Be angry, and do not sin. Do not let the sun go down upon your wrath, ²⁷ neither give place to the Devil. ²⁸ Let him who stole steal no more, but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing which is good, so that he may have something to give to him who needs.
