⁸ who goes in company with the workers of iniquity, and walks with wicked men?

¹⁰ But he said to her, You speak as one of the foolish ones speak. What? Shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this Job did not sin with his lips.

³ Should your lies make men silent? And will you mock and no one make you ashamed?

⁵ For your iniquity teaches your mouth, and you choose the tongue of the crafty.

¹⁵ Do you keep to the old way which wicked men have walked?

¹ Blessed is the man who has not walked in the counsel of the ungodly, and has not stood in the way of sinners, and has not sat in the seat of the scornful.

⁴ I have not sat with lying men, neither will I go in with hypocrites.

¹⁸ When you saw a thief, then you were pleased to be with him, and you have taken part with adulterers.

¹² Behold, these are the ungodly, who are at ease in the world; they increase in riches. ¹³ Surely I have made my heart pure in vain, and washed my hands in innocence. ¹⁴ For all the day long I have been plagued, and chastened every morning. ¹⁵ If I say, I will speak thus; behold, I would deceive a generation of Your sons.

¹⁵ My son, do not walk in the way with them! Keep back your foot from their path,

¹² to deliver you from the way of the evil man, from the man who speaks wicked things;

¹⁴ Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not into the way of evil.

²⁰ He who walks with the wise shall be wise, but a companion with fools shall be destroyed.

³³ Do not be deceived; evil companionships corrupt good habits.
