³⁹ (But He spoke this about the Spirit, which they who believed on Him should receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.)

¹⁵ Jehovah your God will raise up to you a Prophet from the midst of you, of your brothers, One like me. To Him you shall listen, ¹⁶ according to all that you desired of Jehovah your God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying: Let me not hear again the voice of Jehovah my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, so that I do not die. ¹⁷ And Jehovah said to me, They have spoken well what they have spoken. ¹⁸ I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brothers, one like you, and will put My words in His mouth. And He shall speak to them all that I shall command Him.

¹⁸ You have gone up on high; You have led captivity captive; You have received gifts for men, yes, for the rebellious also, that You might dwell among them, O Jehovah God.

²³ Turn at my warning; behold, I will pour out my Spirit to you; I will make my words known to you.

³ And with joy you shall draw water out of the wells of salvation.

¹⁵ until the Spirit is poured on us from on high, and the wilderness becomes a fruitful field, and the fruitful field is thought to be a forest.

³ For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and floods on the dry ground. I will pour My spirit on your seed, and My blessing on your offspring;

²⁸ And it shall be afterward, I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh. And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy; your old men shall dream dreams; your young men shall see visions.

¹⁴ And they said, Some say, John the Baptist; some, Elijah; and others, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets.

¹⁶ John answered all, saying, I indeed baptize you with water, but He who is mightier than I comes, the thong of whose sandals I am not worthy to loose. He shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire,

¹⁶ And fear came on all. And they glorified God, saying, A great prophet has risen up among us; and, God has visited His people.

⁴⁹ And behold, I send the promise of My father on you. But you sit in the city of Jerusalem until you are clothed with power from on high.

²¹ And they asked him, What then? Are you Elijah? And he says, I am not. Are you that prophet? And he answered, No.

²⁵ And they asked him and said, Why then do you baptize, if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor that Prophet?

³³ And I did not know Him, but He who sent me to baptize with water, that One said to me, Upon whom you shall see the Spirit descending, and remaining upon Him, He is the One who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.

¹⁴ Then seeing the miracle that Jesus did, those men said, This is truly the Prophet, the One coming into the world.

¹² And there was much murmuring among the crowd concerning Him, for some said, He is a good man; others said, No, but he deceives the crowd.

¹⁶ But His disciples did not know these things at the first. But when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written of Him, and that they had done these things to Him.

²³ And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour has come that the Son of Man should be glorified.

³¹ Then when he had left, Jesus said, Now the Son of Man is glorified, and God is glorified in him. ³² If God is glorified in Him, God shall also glorify Him in Himself, and shall immediately glorify Him.

¹³ And whatever you may ask in My name, that I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

¹⁶ And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, so that He may be with you forever, ¹⁷ the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive because it does not see Him nor know Him. But you know Him, for He dwells with you and shall be in you.

²⁶ But the Comforter, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in My name, He shall teach you all things and bring all things to your remembrance, whatever I have said to you.

⁷ But I tell you the truth, it is expedient for you that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Comforter will not come to you. But if I depart, I will send Him to you.

⁵ And now Father, glorify Me with Yourself with the glory which I had with You before the world was.

²² And when He had said this, He breathed on them and said to them, Receive the Holy Spirit.

⁴ And having met with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to await the promise of the Father which you heard from Me. ⁵ For John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized in the Holy Spirit not many days from now. ⁶ Then, indeed, these coming together, they asked Him, saying, Lord, do You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel? ⁷ And He said to them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father has put in His own authority. ⁸ But you shall receive power, the Holy Spirit coming upon you. And you shall be witnesses to Me both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and to the end of the earth.

⁴ And they were all filled of the Holy Spirit, and began to speak in other languages, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

¹⁷ "And it shall be in the last days, says God, I will pour out of My Spirit upon all flesh. And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.

³³ Therefore being exalted to the right of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He has poured out this which you now see and hear.

³⁸ Then Peter said to them, Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ to remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

¹³ The God of Abraham and of Isaac and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified His son Jesus, whom you delivered up, denying Him in the presence of Pilate, when he had decided to let Him go.

²² For Moses truly said to the fathers, "The Lord your God shall raise up a Prophet to you from your brothers, One like me. You shall hear Him in all things, whatever He may say to you. ²³ And it shall be that every soul who will not hear that Prophet shall be destroyed from among the people."

³¹ And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the Word of God with boldness.

⁹ But you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone has not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His.

⁸ shall not the ministry of the Spirit be with more glory?

¹³ in whom also you, hearing the Word of Truth, the gospel of our salvation, in whom also believing, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, ¹⁴ who is the earnest of our inheritance, to the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.

³⁰ And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you are sealed until the day of redemption.
