The daughter of my people is cruel, like the ostriches in the wilderness. ⁴ The suckling's tongue cleaves to his palate in thirst; the young children ask bread; there is no breaking to them. ⁵ Those who ate delicacies are desolate in the streets; those reared in scarlet embrace dunghills. ⁶ And the iniquity of the daughter of my people is heaped more than the sin of Sodom, overthrown as in a moment, and no hands spun on her. ⁷ Her Nazarites were purer than snow, whiter than milk; they were redder of bone than corals; their cuttings as lapis lazuli, azure blue. ⁸ Their appearance is blacker than soot; they are not recognized in the streets; their skin has shriveled on their bones; it is dried up; it has become like wood. ⁹ Better are the ones slain by the sword than the ones slain by hunger; those who pine away, pierced because the fruits of my fields failed. ¹⁰ The hands of the pitying women have boiled their own children; they became their food in the ruin of the daughter of my people. ¹¹ Jehovah has fulfilled His fury; He has poured out His fierce anger, and has kindled a fire in Zion, and it has devoured its foundations. ¹² The kings of the earth, and all the people of the world, would not have believed that the foe and the hater would go into Jerusalem's gates. ¹³ For the sins of her prophets and the iniquities of her priests, shedding the blood of the just in her midst, ¹⁴ they reeled blind in the streets; they are defiled with blood, so that not any can touch their clothes. ¹⁵ They cried to them, Depart! Unclean! Depart, depart! Touch not! Indeed they fled and reeled; they said among the nations, They will not continue to live there. ¹⁶ The face of Jehovah has shared them out; He will no longer look on them; they did not respect the persons of the priests; they did not favor the elders. ¹⁷ While we are, our eyes fail, for our help is vain; in our watching we have watched for a nation; it does not save. ¹⁸ They hunted our steps from going in our streets; our end was near, our days were fulfilled, for our end has come. ¹⁹ Our pursuers were swifter than the eagles of the heavens; they pursued us on the mountains, they lay in wait for us in the wilderness. ²⁰ The breath of our nostrils, the anointed of Jehovah, was taken in their pits; of whom we said, In His shadow we shall live among the nations. ²¹ Rejoice and be glad, O daughter of Edom, who lives in the land of Uz. ² Speak to the sons of Israel, and say to them, When a man or a woman shall vow a vow, a vow of a Nazarite, to be separated to Jehovah, ³ he shall separate from wine and strong drink and shall drink no vinegar of wine, or vinegar of strong drink; neither shall he drink any liquor of grapes, nor eat moist grapes or dried. ⁴ All the days of his Nazariteship he shall eat nothing that is made of the grapevine, from grape seeds even to a stem. ⁵ All the days of his vow to separate, no razor shall come upon his head. Until all the days are fulfilled in which he separates to Jehovah, he shall be holy. He shall let the locks of the hair of his head grow. ⁶ All the days that he separates to Jehovah, he shall not come near any dead body. ⁷ He shall not make himself unclean for his father, or for his mother, or for his brother, or for his sister, when they die, because his separation to his God is upon his head. ⁸ All the days of his separation he is holy to Jehovah. ⁹ And if any man dies very suddenly beside him, and he has defiled the head of his consecration, then he shall shave his head in the day of his cleansing, on the seventh day he shall shave it. ¹⁰ And on the eighth day he shall bring two turtle-doves or two young pigeons to the priest, to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. ¹¹ And the priest shall offer the one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering, and make an atonement for him, because he sinned by the dead, and shall make his head holy that same day. ¹² And he shall set apart to Jehovah the days of his separation, and shall bring a lamb of the first year for a guilt offering. He shall be brought to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. ¹⁴ And he shall offer his offering to Jehovah: one male lamb of the first year without blemish for a burnt offering, and one ewe lamb of the first year without blemish for a sin offering, and one ram without blemish for peace offerings, ¹⁵ and a basket of unleavened cakes of fine flour, cakes mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers anointed with oil, and their food offerings and their drink offerings. ¹⁶ And the priest shall bring them before Jehovah and shall offer his sin offering and his burnt offering. ¹⁷ And he shall offer the ram for a sacrifice of peace offerings to Jehovah, with the basket of unleavened bread. The priest shall offer also his food offering and his drink offering. ¹⁸ And the Nazarite shall shave the head of his separation at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and shall take the hair of the head of his separation and put it in the fire under the sacrifice of the peace offerings. ¹⁹ And the priest shall take the boiled shoulder of the ram and one unleavened cake out of the basket, and one unleavened wafer, and shall put them on the hands of the Nazarite, after his separation has been shaved. ²⁰ And the priest shall wave them for a wave offering before Jehovah. This is holy for the priest, with the wave breast and heave shoulder. And afterward the Nazarite may drink wine. ²¹ This is the law of the Nazarite who has vowed his offering to Jehovah for his separation, besides that which he is able to get. According to the vow which he vowed, so he must do according to the law of his separation.

¹⁶ And Jehovah says, Because the daughters of Zion are proud, and have walked with stretched out necks and wanton eyes, walking and mincing as they go, and making a tinkling with their feet; ¹⁷ therefore Jehovah will strike with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and Jehovah will make their secret parts naked. ¹⁸ In that day the Lord will take away the beauty of ankle-bracelets, and the headbands, and the crescents, ¹⁹ the pendants, and the bracelets, and the veils; ²⁰ the headdresses, and the leg ornaments, and the sashes, and the houses of the soul, and the amulets; ²¹ the rings and nose jewels; ²² the festal apparel and the outer garments; and the mantles, and the purses; ²³ the mirrors and the fine linen; and the turbans and the veils. ²⁴ And it shall be, instead of sweet smell, there shall be an odor of decay; and instead of a sash, a rope; and instead of well-set hair, baldness; and instead of a rich robe, a wrapping of sackcloth; burning instead of beauty. ²⁵ Your men shall fall by the sword, and your mighty in the war. ²⁶ And her gates shall lament and mourn; and she shall sit deserted on the ground.

²⁶ And He will lift up a banner to distant nations, and will hiss to them from the ends of the earth; and behold, they shall come with swift speed. ²⁷ None shall be weary nor stumble among them; none shall slumber nor sleep; neither shall the waistcoat of their loins be loosened, nor the thong of their sandals be broken; ²⁸ whose arrows are sharp, and all their bows bent; their horses' hoofs seem like flint, and their wheels like a whirlwind.

¹⁴ And Jehovah will cut off from Israel head and tail, branch and rush, in one day. ¹⁵ The elder and honorable, he is the head; and the prophet who teaches lies, he is the tail. ¹⁶ For the leaders of this people led them astray; and their guided ones are swallowed up.

¹² How you are fallen from the heavens, O shining star, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, you who weakened the nations!

¹ Woe to the rebellious sons, says Jehovah, who make advice, but not of Me; and who cover with a covering, but not of My Spirit, that they add sin to sin; ² those who set out to go down to Egypt and have not asked at My mouth; to take refuge in the strength of Pharaoh and to trust in the shadow of Egypt! ³ Therefore the strength of Pharaoh shall be your shame, and the trust in the shadow of Egypt shall be your curse. ⁴ For his rulers were at Zoan, and his ambassadors came to Hanes. ⁵ They were all ashamed of a people who could not profit them, nor be a help nor gain, but a shame and also a reproach. ⁶ The burden concerning the beasts of the south. The cup also shall pass through unto you; you shall be drunken and stripped naked. ²² The punishment of your iniquity is fulfilled, O daughter of Zion; He will exile you no more. He will visit your iniquity, O daughter of Edom; He will expose your sins.

¹⁰ Our skin is hot like an oven because of the fever heat of famine.

¹² Rulers were hanged by the hand; the faces of elders were not honored.

¹⁰ So the fathers shall eat the sons in your midst, and the sons shall eat their fathers. And I will execute judgments in you, and I will scatter the whole remnant of you into all the winds.

² And you, son of man, so says the Lord Jehovah to the land of Israel: An end! The end has come on the four corners of the land. ³ Now the end is on you, and I will send My anger on you and will judge you according to your ways, and will lay on you all your abominations. ⁴ And My eye shall not spare you, neither will I have pity. But I will repay your ways on you, and your abominations shall be in your midst; and you shall know that I am Jehovah. ⁵ So says the Lord Jehovah: An evil: Behold, an only evil has come! ⁶ An end has come, the end has come. It awakes against you; behold, it has come. ⁷ The encirclement has come to you, O dwellers of the land. The time has come, the day of tumult is near, and not a shout of the mountains. ⁸ And I will soon pour out My fury on you, and fulfill My anger on you. And I will judge you according to your ways, and will repay you for all your abominations. ⁹ And My eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity; I will repay you according to your ways and your abominations that are in your midst. And you shall know that I am Jehovah who strikes. ¹⁰ Behold the day! Behold, it has come; the encirclement has gone out; the rod has blossomed; pride has budded. ¹¹ Violence has risen up for a rod of wickedness. None of them shall remain, nor of their multitude, nor of any of their riches; nor shall there be wailing for them. ¹² The time has come; the day has arrived. Let not the buyer rejoice, nor the seller mourn; for wrath is on all her multitude.

¹⁹ They shall throw their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be an impure thing. Their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of Jehovah. They shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels; because their iniquity has become a stumbling-block for them. ²⁰ And the beauty of His ornament, He set it in majesty. But they made the images of their abominations and of their hateful things in it; therefore I have put it to them as an impure thing. ²¹ And I will give it into the hands of the strangers for a prize, and to the wicked of the earth for a spoil; and they shall defile it. ²² I will also turn My face from them, and they shall defile My secret place; and violent ones shall enter into it and defile it.

¹³ I will also spread My net on him, and He shall be taken in My snare. And I will bring him to Babylon, the land of the Chaldeans. Yet he shall not see it, though he shall die there.

²² Son of man, what is this proverb that you have in the land of Israel, saying, The days will go on and every vision shall fail? ²³ Therefore tell them, So says the Lord Jehovah: I will make this proverb to cease, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel. But say to them, The days are at hand, and the fulfillment of every vision.

²⁷ Son of man, behold, the house of Israel says, The vision that he sees is for many days to come, and he prophesies of the times that are far off.

⁴⁸ As I live, says the Lord Jehovah, Sodom your sister, she nor her daughters, has not done as you have done, you and your daughters. ⁴⁹ Behold, this was the iniquity of your sister Sodom; pride. Fullness of bread and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters. Nor did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy. ⁵⁰ And they were haughty and did abominable things before Me, so I turned away as I saw fit.

¹⁸ And he has despised the oath by breaking the covenant. And, behold, he had given his hand, and has done all these, he shall not escape.

⁴ The nations also heard of him. He was taken in their pit, and they brought him with chains to the land of Egypt. ⁵ And when she saw that she had waited and that her hope was lost, she took another of her cubs and made him a strong lion. ⁶ And he went up and down among the lions; he became a young lion and learned to tear the prey, and ate men. ⁷ And he knew his widows, and he laid their cities waste, and the land and its fullness was desolated, from the sound of his roaring. ⁸ And the nations set against him on every side from the provinces, and spread their net over him. He was taken in their pit.

⁴⁷ And say to the forest of the south, Hear the Word of Jehovah. So says the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will kindle a fire in you, and it shall burn up every green tree in you, and every dry tree among you. The flaming flame shall not be put out, and all faces from the south to the north shall be burned in it. ⁴⁸ And all flesh shall see that I Jehovah have kindled it. It shall not be put out.

²⁶ Her priests have broken My Law and have defiled My holy things. They have put no difference between the holy and the common, and have not taught between the unclean and the clean, and have hidden their eyes from My sabbaths, and I am defiled among them. ²⁷ Her rulers in her midst are like wolves tearing the prey, to shed blood and to destroy souls, to get unjust gain. ²⁸ And her prophets have daubed themselves with lime, seeing vanity and divining lies to them, saying, So says the Lord Jehovah; when Jehovah has not spoken.

³¹ Therefore I have poured out My fury on them. I have burned them up with the fire of My wrath. I have given their way on their heads, says the Lord Jehovah.

²³ And your turbans shall be on your heads, and your sandals on your feet. You shall not mourn nor weep; but you shall pine away for your iniquities and mourn to one another.

⁶ For so says the Lord Jehovah: Because you have clapped your hands and stamped the foot, and rejoiced in heart with all your spite against the land of Israel;

⁸ So says the Lord Jehovah: Because Moab and Seir say, Behold, the house of Judah is like all the nations;

¹² So says the Lord Jehovah: Because Edom has dealt against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and has greatly offended and revenged himself on them; ¹³ therefore so says the Lord Jehovah: I will also stretch out My hand on Edom, and will cut man and beast off from it; and I will make it a waste from Teman, even to Dedan they shall fall by the sword. ¹⁴ And I will lay My vengeance on Edom by the hand of My people Israel. And they shall do in Edom according to My anger and according to My fury. And they shall know My vengeance, says the Lord Jehovah.

² Son of man, because Tyre has said against Jerusalem, Aha! She is shattered, the doors of the peoples, she has turned to me; I shall be filled; she is laid waste.

⁶ And all the people of Egypt shall know that I am Jehovah, because they have been a staff of reed to the house of Israel. ⁷ When they took you by your hand, you broke and tore off all their shoulder. And when they leaned on you, you shattered and made all their loins stand.

¹⁶ And it shall never again be the hope of the house of Israel, recalling the iniquity of their turning after them. And they shall know that I am the Lord Jehovah.

¹⁰ And you, son of man, speak to the house of Israel. So you have spoken, saying, When our transgressions and our sins are on us, and we are wasting away in them, How then shall we live?

³ And say to it, So says the Lord Jehovah: Behold, O Mount Seir, I am against you, and I will stretch out My hand against you, and I will make you a ruin and a waste. ⁴ I will raze your cities, and you shall be ruined, and you shall know that I am Jehovah. ⁵ Because you have had a never-ending hatred, and have shed the blood of the sons of Israel by the force of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time that iniquity had an end, ⁶ therefore, as I live, says the Lord Jehovah, I will yield you up to blood, and blood shall pursue you. Since you have not hated blood, even blood shall pursue you. ⁷ So I will make Mount Seir a ruin, and cut off from it the one passing through, and the one returning. ⁸ And I will fill his mountains with his dead. In your hills, and your valleys, and all your rivers, those slain with the sword shall fall in them. ⁹ I will make you ruins forever, and your cities shall not be inhabited. And you shall know that I am Jehovah.

¹¹ therefore, as I live, says the Lord Jehovah, I will act by your anger and by your envy which you have shown out of your hatred against them. And I will make Myself known among them when I have judged you. ¹² And you shall know that I am Jehovah. I have heard all your blasphemies which you have spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying, Desolation! They are given to us for food. ¹³ So with your mouth you have boasted against Me, and have multiplied your words against Me. I have heard them. ¹⁴ So says the Lord Jehovah: When the whole earth rejoices, I will make you a ruin. ¹⁵ As you rejoiced at the inheritance of the house of Israel because of desolation, so I will do to you. You shall be a desolation, O Mount Seir and all Idumea, even all of it. And they shall know that I am Jehovah.

²⁸ And the nations shall know that I Jehovah sanctify Israel, when My sanctuary shall be in their midst forever.

¹⁵ And at the end of ten days their faces looked fairer and fatter in flesh than all the boys who had eaten the king's food.

¹² And He has confirmed His Words which He spoke against us and against our judges who judged us, by bringing on us a great evil. For under all the heavens it has not been done as it has been done to Jerusalem.

² There is lying, and swearing, and killing, and stealing, and the committing of adultery; and blood touches blood.

¹ Put a trumpet to your mouth. He comes like an eagle against the house of Jehovah, because they have broken My covenant and have sinned against My Law.

⁶ Before their face the people shall be much pained; all faces shall gather blackness.

¹¹ So says Jehovah: For three transgressions of Edom, yea for four, I will not turn away from it. Because he pursued his brother with the sword, and cast off all pities, and his anger tore without end, and he kept his wrath forever.

¹¹ And I raised up prophets from your sons and Nazarites from your young men. Is it not even so, O sons of Israel? says Jehovah. ¹² But you gave the Nazarites wine to drink, and commanded the prophets, saying, Do not prophesy.

¹⁴ And refuge shall perish from the swift, and the strong shall not strengthen his power, nor shall the mighty deliver his life;

³ You who put the evil day far away, and cause the seat of violence to come near; ⁴ who lie on beds of ivory, and those sprawling on their couches, and eat lambs out of the flock, and the calves out of the midst of the stall; ⁵ who chant with the mouth of the harp; they invent instruments of music for themselves, like David; ⁶ who drink wine in bowls, and anoint themselves with the best of oils; nor do they grieve for the breaking of Joseph! ⁷ So now they shall go into exile with the first of the exiles. And the feast of those who stretch themselves shall cease.

² And He said, Amos, what do you see? And I said, A basket of summer fruit. Then Jehovah said to me, The end has come to My people Israel: I will never pass by them any more.

¹ I saw the Lord standing by the altar. And He said, Strike the capital of the door, so that the thresholds shall shake; and break them on the head of all of them. And I will kill the last of them with the sword. Not one of them fleeing will flee, and not a fugitive of them will escape. ² If they dig into hell, there My hand shall take them. And if they go up to the heavens, I will bring them down from there. ³ And if they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, I will search and take them out from there. And if they are hidden from My sight in the bottom of the sea, I will command the serpent there, and he shall bite them.

¹ The vision of Obadiah. So says the Lord God concerning Edom: We have heard a message from Jehovah, and a messenger is sent among the nations: Rise up, even let us rise up against her for battle.

¹⁰ Shame shall cover you from the violence against your brother Jacob, and you shall be cut off forever. ¹¹ On the day of your standing on the other side, on the day that the strangers were capturing his force, and foreigners entered his gates and cast lots for Jerusalem, even you were like one of them. ¹² But you should not have looked on the day of your brother on the day of his alienation; nor should you have rejoiced over the sons of Judah in the day of their ruin; nor should you have enlarged your mouth in the day of distress. ¹³ You should not have entered into the gate of My people in the day of their calamity; also, you should not have looked on his evil in the day of their calamity. Nor should you have sent out against his force in the day of his calamity. ¹⁴ Nor should you have stood on the crossways to cut off those of him who escaped; nor should you have shut up his survivors in the day of distress. ¹⁵ For the day of Jehovah is near on all the nations; as you have done, it shall be done to you. Your reward shall return upon your head. ¹⁶ For as you have drunk upon My holy mountain, so all the nations shall drink forever. Yes, they shall drink, and they shall swallow, and they shall be as though they had not been.

¹¹ Pass over to them, O dweller of Shaphir, in nakedness of shame. The dweller of Zaanan has not gone out; the mourning of Beth-ezel shall take from you his standing.

⁶ Therefore a night shall be to you without vision; and darkness without divining. And the sun shall go down over the prophets, and the day shall be dark over them. ⁷ And the seers shall be ashamed, and the diviners ashamed; yea, they shall all cover their mustache, for there is no answer from God.

¹¹ Her heads judge for a bribe, and her priests teach for pay, and her prophets divine for silver, yet they will lean on Jehovah and say, Is not Jehovah among us? No evil can come on us! ¹² Therefore, on account of you, Zion shall be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house into high places of the forest.

¹⁰ She is empty and void and waste; and the heart melts, and the knees knock, and trembling is on all the loins; and all their faces collect heat.

⁸ His horses also are swifter than the leopards, and are more fierce than the evening wolves. And their horsemen shall spread themselves, and their horsemen shall come from afar. They shall fly like the eagle hurrying to eat.

³ Her rulers within her are roaring lions; her judges evening wolves. They do not gnaw bones for the morning. ⁴ Her prophets are proud, men of deceit; her priests have defiled the sanctuary; they have done violence to the Law.

⁶ But My Words and My statutes which I commanded My servants the prophets, did they not overtake your fathers? And they returned and said, As Jehovah of Hosts planned to do to us, according to our ways and according to our doings, so He has done with us.

¹³ For I have bent Judah for me as a bow; I filled it with Ephraim, and I will stir up your sons, O Zion, against your sons, O Greece, and make you as the sword of a mighty man.

² I have loved you, says Jehovah. But you say, In what have You loved us? Was not Esau Jacob's brother? says Jehovah; yet I loved Jacob, ³ and I hated Esau and made his mountains a desolation, and his inheritance to be for the jackals of the wilderness. ⁴ If Edom says, We are beaten down, but we will return and build the waste places. So says Jehovah of Hosts, They shall build, but I will throw down; and they shall call them the region of wickedness, and the people with whom Jehovah is indignant forever.

²³ And you, Capernaum, who are exalted to the heaven, shall be brought down to hell. For if the mighty works which have been done in you had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. ²⁴ But I say to you, it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment than for you.

¹⁴ Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

³¹ Therefore you are witnesses to yourselves, that you are the sons of those who killed the prophets;

³³ Serpents! Offspring of vipers! How can you escape the condemnation of hell? ³⁴ Therefore, behold, I send prophets and wise men and scribes to you. And you will kill and crucify some of them. And some of them you will scourge in your synagogues and persecute from city to city; ³⁵ so that on you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah the son of Berachiah, whom you killed between the temple and the altar. ³⁶ Truly I say to you, All these things shall come on this generation. ³⁷ O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one killing the prophets and stoning those who are sent to her, how often would I have gathered your children together, even as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you would not!

² And Jesus said to them, Do you not see all these things? Truly I say to you, There shall not be left here one stone on another that shall not be thrown down.

²¹ for then shall be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world to this time; no, nor ever shall be.

²⁷ For as the lightning comes out of the east and shines even to the west, so also will be the coming of the Son of Man. ²⁸ For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered.

² And answering Jesus said to him, Do you see these great buildings? There shall not be one stone left on another that shall not be thrown down.

¹⁵ For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall neither drink wine nor strong drink. And he shall be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother's womb.

Truly I say to you, It shall be required of this generation.

⁴⁷ And that servant who knew his lord's will and did not prepare, nor did according to His will, shall be beaten with many stripes.

¹⁶ And he was longing to fill his belly with the husks that the pigs ate, and no one gave to him.

¹⁹ There was a certain rich man who was customarily clothed in purple and fine linen and making merry in luxury every day.

⁵ And as some spoke of the temple, how it was adorned with beautiful stones and gifts, He said, ⁶ As to these things which you see, days will come in which there shall not be left a stone on a stone, which shall not be thrown down.

²² For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

²⁸ But turning to them, Jesus said, Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for Me, but weep for yourselves and for your children. ²⁹ For behold, the days are coming in which they shall say, Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bore, and the breasts which did not suckle.

⁵² Which of the prophets did your fathers not persecute? And they killed those who foretold the coming of the Just One, of whom you have now been the betrayers and murderers;

³¹ undiscerning, perfidious, without natural affection, unforgiving, unmerciful;

²¹ Does not the potter have power over the clay, from the same lump to make one vessel to honor and another to dishonor? ²² What if God, willing to show His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much long-suffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction; ²³ and that He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy which He had before prepared to glory;

⁷ But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us;

¹⁸ having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart.

¹⁵ who both killed the Lord Jesus and their own prophets, also driving us out and they do not please God and being contrary to all men, ¹⁶ forbidding us to speak to the nations that they might be saved, to fill up their sins always; but the wrath has come upon them to the uttermost.

⁶ But she who lives in self-pleasure has died while living.

²⁰ But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honor, and some to dishonor.

⁹ not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day I took hold of their hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt," because they did not continue in My covenant, and I did not regard them, says the Lord.

¹⁵ Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is the one who watches and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.

⁷ As much as she has glorified herself and has lived in luxury, so much torment and sorrow give her. For she says in her heart, I sit as a queen, and I am not a widow; and I do not see mourning at all. ⁸ Therefore her plagues will come in one day, death and mourning and famine. And she will be consumed with fire, for the Lord God who judges her is strong. ⁹ And the kings of the earth who have committed fornication and lived in luxury with her will weep for her, and will wail over her when they see the smoke of her burning;
