¹⁸ While He spoke these things to them, behold, a certain ruler came and worshiped Him, saying, My daughter has just now died. But come and lay Your hand on her and she will live.

¹¹ But Naaman was angry, and went away. And he said, Behold, I said within myself, He will surely come out to me and stand and call on the name of Jehovah his God, and strike his hand over the place and recover the leper.

² And behold, a leper came and worshiped him, saying, Lord, if You will, You can make me clean.

⁸ The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof; but only speak the word, and my boy will be healed. ⁹ For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, Go! And he goes; and to another, Come! And he comes; and to my servant, Do this! And he does it.

²⁴ He said to them, Go back, for the little girl is not dead, but sleeps. And they laughed Him to scorn.

³³ And those in the boat came and worshiped Him, saying, Truly You are the Son of God.

²⁵ Then she came and worshiped Him, saying, Lord, help me!

¹⁴ And when they came to the crowd, a man came to Him, kneeling down to Him and saying,

²⁰ Then the mother of Zebedee's children came to Him with her sons, worshiping and desiring a certain thing from Him.

¹⁷ And when they saw Him, they worshiped Him. But some doubted.

²² And, behold, one of the synagogue rulers came, Jairus by name. And when he saw Him, he fell at His feet. ²³ And he begged Him greatly, saying, My little daughter lies at the point of death. Come, lay Your hands on her, so that she may be healed, and she shall live. ²⁴ And Jesus went with him. And many people followed Him and thronged Him. ²⁵ And a certain woman who had had an issue of blood twelve years, ²⁶ and had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and had not been bettered any, but rather came to worse, ²⁷ having heard about Jesus, she came in the press behind and touched His garment. ²⁸ For she said, If I may but touch only His clothes, I will be cured. ²⁹ And instantly the fountain of her blood dried up. And she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague. ³⁰ And knowing instantly within Himself that power had gone out of Him, Jesus turned Himself around in the press and said, Who touched My clothes? ³¹ And His disciples said to Him, You see the crowd pressing on You, and do You say, Who touched Me? ³² And He looked around to see her who had done this thing. ³³ But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had been done in her, came and fell down before Him and told Him all the truth. ³⁴ And He said to her, Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be whole from your plague. ³⁵ While He still spoke, they came from the synagogue ruler's house, saying, Your daughter is dead; why do you still trouble the Teacher? ³⁶ But hearing the word spoken, Jesus said to the synagogue ruler, Do not be afraid, only believe. ³⁷ And He allowed no one to follow Him, except Peter and James and John, the brother of James. ³⁸ And He came to the synagogue ruler's and saw a tumult, and weeping and much wailing. ³⁹ And going in He said to them, Why do you make a tumult and weep? The girl is not dead, but sleeps. ⁴⁰ And they laughed at Him. But when He had put them all out, He took the father and the mother of the child, and those with Him, and went in where the child was lying. ⁴¹ And He took the child's hand and said to her, Talitha koumi; (which interpreted is, Little girl, I say to you, Arise!) ⁴² And instantly the little girl arose and walked (for she was twelve years old). And they were astonished with a great astonishment. ⁴³ And He strictly warned them that no one should know this. And He said to give her something to eat.

² And a certain servant of a centurion who was dear to him, was sick and ready to die.

⁴¹ And behold, a man named Jairus came, and he was a synagogue-ruler. And he fell down at Jesus' feet and begged Him that He would come into his house. ⁴² For he had an only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she lay dying. But as He went, the people thronged Him. ⁴³ And a woman who had a flow of blood twelve years (who had spent all her living on physicians, and could not be healed by any) ⁴⁴ came behind Him and touched the border of His garment. And instantly her flow of blood was staunched. ⁴⁵ And Jesus said, Who touched Me? And all having denied, Peter and those with Him said, Master, the crowd presses and jostles You, and You say, Who touched Me? ⁴⁶ And Jesus said, Someone has touched Me, for I know that power has gone out of Me. ⁴⁷ And seeing that she was not hidden, the woman came trembling. And falling down before Him, she declared to Him before all the people why she had touched Him, and how she was instantly healed. ⁴⁸ And He said to her, Daughter, be comforted. Your faith has saved you; go in peace. ⁴⁹ He was still speaking when someone came from the synagogue-ruler, saying to him, Your daughter is dead, do not trouble the Teacher. ⁵⁰ But when Jesus heard, He answered Him, saying, Do not fear, only believe and she shall be healed. ⁵¹ And coming into the house, He allowed no one to go in, except Peter and James and John, and the father and the mother of the girl. ⁵² And all were weeping and bewailing her. But He said, Do not weep; she has not died, but sleeps. ⁵³ And they ridiculed, knowing that she was dead. ⁵⁴ And He put them all out. And He took her by the hand and called, saying, Little girl, arise! ⁵⁵ And her spirit came again, and she arose immediately. And He commanded that food be given her to eat. ⁵⁶ And her parents were astonished. But He charged them to tell no one the thing that happened.

¹⁴ And answering, the synagogue ruler, being angry because Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, said to the crowd, There are six days in which it is right to work. Therefore in them come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day.

¹⁵ And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back and glorified God with a loud voice. ¹⁶ And he fell down on his face at His feet, thanking Him. And he was a Samaritan.

¹⁸ And a certain ruler asked Him, saying, Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

⁴⁷ When He heard that Jesus had come out of Judea into Galilee, he went to Him and begged Him that He would come down and heal his son, for he was at the point of death. ⁴⁸ Then Jesus said to him, Unless you see signs and wonders you will not believe. ⁴⁹ The nobleman said to Him, Sir, come down before my child dies.

²¹ Then Martha said to Jesus, Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died. ²² But I know that even now, whatever You will ask of God, God will give You.

²⁵ Jesus said to her, I am the Resurrection and the Life! He who believes in Me, though he die, yet he shall live.

³² Then when Mary had come where Jesus was, seeing Him, Mary fell down at His feet, saying to Him, Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.

²⁵ And as Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him and fell down at his feet and worshiped. ²⁶ But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up! I also am a man myself.

¹⁵ And after the reading of the Law and the Prophets, the rulers of the synagogue sent to them, saying, Men, brothers, if you have any word of comfort for the people, speak.
