⁷ We have acted very wickedly against You, and have not kept the commandments nor the statutes nor the judgments which You commanded Your servant Moses.

³⁴ These are the commandments which Jehovah commanded Moses for the sons of Israel in Mount Sinai.

¹ And now, Israel, listen to the statutes and to the judgments which I teach you, in order to do them, so that you may live and go in and possess the land which Jehovah, the God of your fathers gives you.

⁵ Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as Jehovah my God commanded me, so that you should do so in the land where you go to possess it.

¹ And Moses called all Israel and said to them, Hear, O Israel, the statutes and judgments which I speak in your ears this day, so that you may learn them and keep and do them.

¹ And these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which Jehovah our God commanded to teach you so that you might do them in the land where you go, to possess it,

¹⁴ And you shall not go aside from any of the words which I command you today, to the right hand or the left, to go after other gods to serve them. ¹⁵ And it shall be, if you will not listen to the voice of Jehovah your God, to observe and to do all His commandments and His statutes which I command you today, all these curses shall come on you and overtake you.

³ And keep the charge of Jehovah your God, to walk in His ways, to keep His statutes, and His commandments, and His judgments, and His testimonies, as it is written in the Law of Moses, so that you may prosper in all that you do and wherever you turn yourself,

⁴ But he did not kill their sons, but as it is written in the Law in the book of Moses, where Jehovah commanded, saying, The father shall not die for the sons, nor shall the sons die for the fathers, but every man shall die for his own sin.

² And he did the right in the sight of Jehovah, according to all that his father Uzziah did. Only, he did not enter into the temple of Jehovah. And the people still did evilly.

⁶ this Ezra went up from Babylon. And he was a ready scribe in the Law of Moses, which Jehovah, the God of Israel had given. And the king granted him all he asked, according to the hand of Jehovah his God on him.

²⁹ and testified against them that You might bring them again to Your Law. But they acted proudly and did not listen to Your commandments, but sinned against Your judgments (which if a man do, he shall live in them), and withdrew the shoulder, and hardened their neck, and would not hear. ³⁰ And many years You had patience with them, and testified against them by Your Spirit, by Your prophets, but they would not give ear. And You gave them into the hand of the people of the lands. ³¹ But for Your great mercies, You did not completely destroy them nor forsake them. For You are a gracious and merciful God. ³² And now, our God, the great, the mighty, and the fearful God, who keeps covenant and mercy, let not all the trouble that has come upon us, on our kings, on our rulers, and on our priests, and on our prophets, and on our fathers, and on all Your people, since the time of the kings of Assyria to this day, seem little before You. ³³ But You are just in all that is brought upon us, for You have done right, but we have done wickedly. ³⁴ And our kings, our rulers, our priests, and our fathers, have not kept Your Law, nor listened to Your commandments and Your words with which You testified against them. ³⁵ For they have not served You in their kingdom, and in Your great goodness which You gave them, and in the large and rich land which You gave before them, and they did not turn from their wicked works.

⁸ The Precepts of Jehovah are right, rejoicing the heart; the Commandments of Jehovah are pure, giving light to the eyes. ⁹ The fear of Jehovah is clean, enduring forever; the judgments of Jehovah are true and righteous altogether,

⁶ We have sinned with our fathers, we have committed iniquity, we have done wickedly.

⁵ O that my ways were fixed to keep Your Precepts! ⁶ Then I shall not be ashamed, when I have respect to all Your Commandments. ⁷ I will praise You with uprightness of heart when I have learned Your righteous judgments. ⁸ I will keep Your Precepts; do not forsake me completely.

⁵ we have sinned and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from Your commandments and from Your judgments. ⁶ Neither have we listened to Your servants the prophets, who spoke in Your name to our kings, our rulers, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.

¹¹ Yea, all Israel has transgressed Your Law, and turned aside, that they might not obey Your voice. Therefore the curse has been poured out on us, and the oath that is written in the Law of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against Him.

¹³ As it is written in the Law of Moses, all this evil has come on us. Yet we did not make our prayer before Jehovah our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand Your truth.

⁹ They have deeply corrupted, as in days of Gibeah. He will remember their iniquity; He will punish their sins.

⁷ I said, Surely you will fear Me; you will receive instruction; then her dwelling shall not be cut off, all that I appointed for her. But they rose early, corrupting all their doings.

⁴ Remember the Law of Moses My servant, which I commanded to him in Horeb for all Israel, the statutes and judgments.

² For true and righteous are His judgments. For He has judged the great harlot who defiled the earth with her fornication, and He has avenged the blood of His servants out of her hand.
