²² Do not say, I will repay evil; wait on Jehovah, and He will save you.

³⁵ Vengeance and retribution belong to Me. Their foot shall slide in time, for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come on them make haste.

¹² It may be that Jehovah will look on my affliction, and that Jehovah will repay me with good for his cursing this day.

¹⁴ Hope in Jehovah; be of good courage, and He shall make your heart strong; yea, hope in Jehovah.

³⁴ Wait on Jehovah, and keep His way, and He shall lift you up to inherit the earth; when the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.

¹³ Whoever rewards evil for good, evil shall not depart from his house.

²⁹ Do not say, I will do so to him as he has done to me; I will give to the man according to his work.

³¹ but those who wait on Jehovah shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

²⁵ Jehovah is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him. ²⁶ It is good that one should hope for the salvation of Jehovah, even in silence.

³⁹ But I say to you, Do not resist evil. But whoever shall strike you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also.

¹⁷ Repay no one evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. ¹⁸ If it is possible, as far as is in you, being in peace with all men. ¹⁹ not avenging yourselves, beloved, but giving place to wrath; for it is written, "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay, says the Lord."

¹⁵ See that none gives evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue the good, both towards one another and towards all.

²³ who when He was reviled did not revile in return. When He suffered, He did not threaten, but gave Himself up to Him who judges righteously.

⁹ Never give back evil for evil, or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, giving blessing, knowing that you are called to this so that you might inherit blessing.

¹⁹ Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of God commit their souls in well-doing, as to a faithful Creator.
