¹⁷ Do not let your heart envy sinners; but be in the fear of Jehovah all the day long.

¹ A Psalm of David. Do not fret yourself with evil doers; and do not be envious against the workers of iniquity. ² For they shall soon wither like the grass; and fade as the green herb. ³ Trust in Jehovah, and do good; you shall dwell in the land, and you shall be fed on truth.

³ For I was jealous of the proud, when I saw the peace of the wicked. ⁴ For there are no bands in their death; but their strength is fat. ⁵ They are not in trouble like other men; neither are they plagued like other men. ⁶ Therefore pride enchains them; violence covers them like a robe. ⁷ Their eyes stand out with fatness; they have more than the heart could imagine.

¹⁰ The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of wisdom; all practicing them have good understanding; His praise stands forever.

³¹ Do not envy the cruel man, and choose none of his ways.

¹⁶ Better is a little with the fear of Jehovah than great treasure and tumult with it.

¹ Do not be jealous of evil men, nor desire to be with them.

¹⁴ Blessed is the man dreading God, but he who hardens his heart shall fall into mischief.

⁷ For in the multitude of dreams, both words and vanities abound; but fear God.

¹³ Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter. Fear God, and keep His commandments. For this is the whole duty of man. ¹⁴ For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it is good, or whether evil.

³¹ Then, indeed, the churches had rest throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria, and having been built up. And having gone on in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, they were increased.

¹ Then having these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilements of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

¹⁷ And if you call on the Father, who without respect of persons judges according to the work of each one, pass the time of your earthly residence in fear,
