¹ Does not wisdom call? And does not understanding put forth her voice? ² She stands in the top of high places, by the way in the places of the path. ³ She cries in the gates, before the entrance of the city, at the doors. ⁴ To you, O men, I call; and my voice is to the sons of man. ⁵ O simple ones, understand wisdom; and, fools, be of an understanding heart. ⁶ Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things. ⁷ For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is hateful to my lips. ⁸ All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; nothing twisted or perverse is in them. ⁹ They are all plain to him who understands, and right to those who find knowledge. ¹⁰ Receive my instruction and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold. ¹¹ For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it. ¹² I, wisdom, dwell with sense, and find out knowledge of discretions. ¹³ The fear of Jehovah is to hate evil; I hate pride, and arrogance, and the evil way, and the wicked mouth. ¹⁴ Counsel and sound wisdom are mine; I am understanding; I have strength. ¹⁵ By me kings reign and princes decree justice. ¹⁶ Princes rule by me, and nobles, all the judges of the earth. ¹⁷ I love those who love me; and those who seek me early shall find me. ¹⁸ Riches and honor are with me; enduring riches and righteousness. ¹⁹ My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and what I give is better than choice silver. ²⁰ I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment; ²¹ I may cause those who love me to inherit riches; and I will fill their treasuries. ²² Jehovah possessed me from the beginning of His way, before His works of old. ²³ I was anointed from everlasting, from the beginning, before the earth ever was. ²⁴ When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no springs heavy with water. ²⁵ Before the mountains were settled, before the hills, I was brought forth. ²⁶ before He had made the earth, or the fields or the highest part of the dust of the world. ²⁷ When He prepared the heavens, I was there; when He set a circle upon the face of the deep; ²⁸ when He set the clouds above; when He made the strong fountains of the deep; ²⁹ when He gave to the sea its limit that the waters should not pass His command; when He appointed the foundations of the earth; ³⁰ even I was a workman at His side; and I was daily His delight, rejoicing always before Him; ³¹ rejoicing in the world, His earth; and my delight was with the sons of men. ³² And now listen to me, O sons; for blessed are those who keep my ways. ³³ Hear instruction, and be wise, and do not refuse it. ³⁴ Blessed is the man who hears me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors. ³⁵ For whoever finds me finds life, and shall obtain favor from Jehovah. ³⁶ But he who sins against me wrongs his own soul; all who hate me love death.

²⁰ Wisdom cries outside; she utters her voice in the streets; ²¹ she cries in the chief place of gathering, in the openings of the gates; in the city she utters her words, saying,

¹ Wisdom has built her house; she has carved out her seven pillars; ² she has killed her beasts; she has mixed her wine; she has also set her table. ³ She has sent out her young women; she cries upon the highest places of the city,

¹ Listen, O coastlands, to Me; and listen, lend your ear, peoples from afar; Jehovah has called Me from the womb; He has made mention of My name from My mother's bowels. ² And He has made My mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of His hand He has hidden Me, and made Me a polished shaft. He has hidden Me in His quiver, ³ and said to Me, You are My servant, O Israel, in whom I will be glorified. ⁴ Then I said, I have labored in vain; I have spent My strength for nothing, and in vain; yet surely My judgment is with Jehovah, and My work with My God. ⁵ And now, says Jehovah who formed Me from the womb to be His servant, to bring Jacob again to Him, Though Israel is not gathered, yet I shall be glorious in the eyes of Jehovah, and My God shall be My strength. ⁶ And He said, It is but a little thing that You should be My servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to bring back the preserved ones of Israel; I will also give You for a light to the nations, to be My salvation to the end of the earth.

¹ Ho, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat. Yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. ² Why do you weigh silver for what is not bread? and your labor for what never satisfies? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. ³ Bow down your ear, and come to Me; hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

³ For this is he who was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah, saying, "The voice of one crying in the wilderness: Prepare the way of the Lord, make His paths straight."

¹⁷ From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, Repent! For the kingdom of Heaven is at hand.

¹⁹ Therefore go and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, ²⁰ teaching them to observe all things, whatever I commanded you. And, behold, I am with you all the days until the end of the world. Amen.

¹⁰ And the gospel must first be proclaimed to all nations.

¹⁵ And He said to them, Go into all the world, proclaim the gospel to all the creation. ¹⁶ He who believes and is baptized will be saved, but he who does not believe will be condemned.

⁴⁷ and that repentance and remission of sins should be proclaimed in His name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

³⁷ And in the last day of the great feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.

⁸ But you shall receive power, the Holy Spirit coming upon you. And you shall be witnesses to Me both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and to the end of the earth.

²¹ And He said to me, Go, for I will send you far away to the nations.

¹⁸ For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ did not work out by me for the obedience of the nations in word and deed, ¹⁹ in power of miracles and wonders, in power of the Spirit of God, so that from Jerusalem, and all around to Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ. ²⁰ Yea, so I have been eager to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build on another man's foundation; ²¹ but as it is written, "To whom nothing was said about Him, they shall see. And they who have not heard shall understand."

³ She has sent out her young women; she cries upon the highest places of the city,

¹⁴ For she sits at the door of her house, in a seat in the high places of the city,

⁷ when I went out to the gate by the city; when I prepared my seat in the street!

⁹ Therefore go into the exits of the highways, and as many as you shall find, invite them to the marriage.

²¹ And coming up that servant reported these things to his lord. And the master of the house, being angry, said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city and bring in here the poor and the maimed, and the lame and the blind. ²² And the servant said, Lord, it is done as you have commanded, and still there is room. ²³ And the lord said to the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges and compel them to come in, so that my house may be filled.

²⁰ Jesus answered him, I spoke openly to the world. I always taught in the synagogue and in the temple, where the Jews always resort, and I have said nothing in secret.

²⁰ Go! Stand and speak all the words of this Life to the people in the temple.

¹ To the Chief Musician. A Psalm for the sons of Korah. Hear this, all you peoples; give ear, all inhabitants of the world; ² both sons of mankind, and sons of man, rich and poor together; ³ my mouth shall speak of wise things; and the thoughts of my heart shall be of understanding.

¹ A Psalm of Asaph. The mighty God, Jehovah, has spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun to its going down.

¹⁵ He who has ears to hear, let him hear.

¹⁶ For God so loved the world that He gave His only-begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

¹⁹ whereas God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and putting the word of reconciliation in us. ²⁰ Then we are ambassadors on behalf of Christ, as God exhorting through us, we beseech you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.

²³ if indeed you continue in the faith grounded and settled, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which you have heard and which was proclaimed in all the creation under Heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister,

²⁸ whom we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, so that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.

⁴ who will have all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. ⁵ For God is one, and there is one Mediator of God and of men, the Man Christ Jesus, ⁶ who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

¹¹ For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, ¹² teaching us that having denied ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live discreetly, righteously and godly, in this present world,

¹⁷ And the Spirit and the bride say, Come! And let the one hearing say, Come! And let the one who is thirsty come. And he willing, let him take of the Water of Life freely.

⁷ The Law of Jehovah is perfect, converting the soul; the testimony of Jehovah is sure, making the simple wise.

⁸ Understand, you beastly ones among the people; and fools, when will you be wise?

⁴ to give sense to the simple, knowledge and judgment to the young man;

²² How long will you love simplicity, simple ones? And will scorners delight in their scorning? And will fools hate knowledge?

⁴ The simple one, let him turn in here. To one lacking heart, she says to him,

¹³ Jehovah goes out as a warrior, He stirs up zeal like a man of wars; He shouts, yea, roars; He overcomes His enemies.

¹⁸ in order to open their eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light, and from the authority of Satan to God, so that they may receive remission of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.

²⁸ and God has chosen the base things of the world, and things which are despised, and things which are not, in order to bring to nothing things that are;

⁹ Do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor abusers, nor homosexuals, ¹⁰ nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. ¹¹ And such were some of you. But you are washed, but you are sanctified, but you are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

¹⁷ Because you say, I am rich and increased with goods and have need of nothing, and do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked, ¹⁸ I counsel you to buy from Me gold purified by fire, so that you may be rich; and white clothing, so that you may be clothed, and so that the shame of your nakedness does not appear. And anoint your eyes with eye salve, so that you may see.

¹ However, Job, please hear my speeches, and listen to all my words. ² Behold, now I have opened my mouth, my tongue has spoken in my mouth, ³ my words shall be from my upright heart, and my lips will clearly speak knowledge.

⁷ The Law of Jehovah is perfect, converting the soul; the testimony of Jehovah is sure, making the simple wise. ⁸ The Precepts of Jehovah are right, rejoicing the heart; the Commandments of Jehovah are pure, giving light to the eyes. ⁹ The fear of Jehovah is clean, enduring forever; the judgments of Jehovah are true and righteous altogether, ¹⁰ more to be desired than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. ¹¹ And Your servant is warned by them; in keeping them there is great reward.

³ my mouth shall speak of wise things; and the thoughts of my heart shall be of understanding.

⁶ For Jehovah gives wisdom; out of His mouth come knowledge and understanding. ⁷ He lays up sound wisdom for the righteous; He is a shield to those who walk uprightly.

² For I give you good teaching; do not forsake my law.

²⁰ My son, listen to my words; bow down your ear to my sayings. ²¹ Let them not depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart. ²² For they are life to those who find them, and health to all his flesh.

²⁰ Have I not written to you excellent things in counsels and knowledge, ²¹ that I might make you know the sureness of the words of truth; to return the words of truth to those who send to you?

¹⁶ Yea, my heart shall rejoice when your lips speak right things.

² And He opened His mouth and taught them, saying, ³ Blessed are the poor in spirit! For theirs is the kingdom of Heaven. ⁴ Blessed are they that mourn! For they shall be comforted. ⁵ Blessed are the meek! For they shall inherit the earth. ⁶ Blessed are they who hunger and thirst after righteousness! For they shall be filled. ⁷ Blessed are the merciful! For they shall obtain mercy. ⁸ Blessed are the pure in heart! For they shall see God. ⁹ Blessed are the peacemakers! For they shall be called the sons of God. ¹⁰ Blessed are they who have been persecuted for righteousness sake! For theirs is the kingdom of Heaven. ¹¹ Blessed are you when men shall revile you and persecute you, and shall say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for My sake. ¹² Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for your reward in Heaven is great. For so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

²⁸ And it happened, when Jesus had ended these sayings, that the people were astonished at His doctrine. ²⁹ For He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

³⁵ so that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, "I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world."

⁶ But, we speak wisdom among those who are perfect; yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the rulers of this world, that come to nothing. ⁷ But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, which God has hidden, predetermining it before the world for our glory;

²⁶ the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints.

⁴ For truly my words are not false; He who is perfect in knowledge is with you.

³⁰ The mouth of the righteous speaks wisdom, and his tongue talks of judgment.

²² Lying lips are hateful to Jehovah, but those who deal truly are His delight.

¹² It is a hateful thing for kings to commit wickedness; for the throne is established by righteousness.

²⁷ An unjust man is a hateful thing to the just; and he who is upright in the way is hateful to the wicked.

¹⁷ For the Law came through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

¹⁴ Jesus answered and said to them, Though I bear record concerning Myself, My witness is true. For I know from where I came, and where I go. But you do not know from where I came, and where I go.

⁴⁵ And because I tell you the truth, you do not believe Me. ⁴⁶ Which of you convicts Me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do you not believe Me?

⁶ Jesus said to him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father but by Me.

¹⁷ Sanctify them through Your truth. Your Word is truth.

³⁷ Pilate then said to Him, Are you a king then? Jesus answered, You say it that I am a king. To this end I was born, and for this cause I came into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.

¹⁴ And to the angel of the church of the Laodicea write: The Amen, the faithful and true Witness, the Head of the creation of God, says these things:

⁵ They have corrupted themselves: they are not His sons; it is their blemish; they are a crooked and perverse generation.

⁶ The Words of Jehovah are pure Words, like silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

¹³ The fear of Jehovah is to hate evil; I hate pride, and arrogance, and the evil way, and the wicked mouth.

²³ I have sworn by Myself, the word has gone out of My mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, that to Me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.

¹ Who is this who comes from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah, this One adorned in His clothing, bending down in His great power? I who speak in righteousness, great to save.

⁴⁶ The officers answered, Never did any man speak as does this Man.

⁷ The Law of Jehovah is perfect, converting the soul; the testimony of Jehovah is sure, making the simple wise. ⁸ The Precepts of Jehovah are right, rejoicing the heart; the Commandments of Jehovah are pure, giving light to the eyes.

¹² What man is he who fears Jehovah? He shall teach him in the way that he shall choose. ¹³ His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth. ¹⁴ The secret of Jehovah is with those who fear Him; and He will show them His covenant.

⁹⁸ Through Your Commandments You make me wiser than my enemies, for they are ever with me. ⁹⁹ I have more understanding than all my teachers; for Your testimonies are my prayer. ¹⁰⁰ I understand more than the old men, because I keep Your Commandments.

⁶ A scorner seeks wisdom, and it is not found, but knowledge is easy to him who understands.

¹⁴ The heart of him who has understanding seeks knowledge, but the mouth of fools feeds on foolishness.

²⁴ The way of life is above to the wise, so that he may turn away from hell below.

²⁴ Wisdom is before him who has understanding, but the eyes of a fool are in the ends of the earth.

¹ He that separates himself seeks his own desire; he breaks out against all sound wisdom. ² A fool has no delight in understanding, but only that his heart may lay itself bare.

¹⁵ The heart of the prudent gets knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.

⁸ And a highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called, The Way of Holiness. The unclean shall not pass over it. But He shall be with them; the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err in it.

⁷ House of Jacob, it is said, The Spirit of Jehovah is limited, if these are His doings. Do not My words do good to him who walks uprightly?

¹¹ He answered and said to them, Because it is given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of Heaven, but it is not given to them. ¹² For whoever has, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance. But whoever does not have, from him shall be taken away even that which he has.

⁴⁵ It is written in the Prophets, "And they shall all be taught of God." Therefore everyone who hears and learns from the Father comes to Me.

¹⁷ If anyone desires to do His will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it is of God, or I speak from Myself.

¹⁴ But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. ¹⁵ But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is judged by no one.

⁵ But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and with no reproach, and it shall be given to him.

⁷² The Law of Your mouth is better to me than thousands of gold and silver.

¹²⁷ Therefore I love Your Commandments above gold; yea, even fine gold.

¹⁶² I rejoice at Your Word, as one who finds great spoil.

⁴ if you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures, ⁵ then you shall understand the fear of Jehovah and find the knowledge of God.

¹³ Blessed is the man who finds wisdom, and the man who gets understanding. ¹⁴ For the profit from it is better than the gain from silver, and its produce more than fine gold; ¹⁵ she is more precious than rubies; and all the things you can desire are not to be compared with her.

¹⁹ My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and what I give is better than choice silver.

²⁰ The tongue of the just is as choice silver; the heart of the wicked is worth little.

¹⁶ How much better it is to get wisdom than gold! And to get understanding is rather to be chosen than silver!

²³ Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.

¹¹ Wisdom is good with an inheritance; but it is gain to those who see the sun.

⁶ But Peter said, Silver and gold have I none, but what I have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk!

¹⁰ as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, yet possessing all things.

¹⁵ Pure gold cannot be given in its stead, and silver be weighed as its price. ¹⁶ It cannot be weighed against the gold of Ophir, against precious onyx, or sapphire; ¹⁷ gold and the crystal cannot equal it, nor can it be exchanged for a vessel of fine gold. ¹⁸ No mention shall be made of coral, or of pearls; and the price of wisdom is above rubies. ¹⁹ The topaz of Ethiopia cannot equal it; it cannot be weighed against pure gold.

¹⁰ more to be desired than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

⁵ Get wisdom, get understanding; forget not; nor turn away from the words of my mouth. ⁶ Do not forsake her, and she shall preserve you; love her, and she shall keep you. ⁷ Wisdom is the main thing; get wisdom; and with all your getting get understanding.

¹⁵ There is gold and a multitude of rubies; but the lips of knowledge are a rare jewel.

²⁶ For what is a man profited if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

⁸ But no, rather, I also count all things to be loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them to be dung, so that I may win Christ ⁹ and be found in Him; not having my own righteousness, which is of the Law, but through the faith of Christ, the righteousness of God by faith,

³ And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all workmanship, ⁴ to devise designs; to work in gold, and in silver, and in bronze, ⁵ and in cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of timber, to work in all workmanship. ⁶ And behold, I have given to him Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan. And I have put wisdom in the hearts of all the wise-hearted, so that they may make all that I have commanded you:

³⁰ And Moses said to the sons of Israel, See, Jehovah has called the son of Uri the son of Hur, by the name Bezaleel, of the tribe of Judah.

¹⁴ He was the son of a widow of the tribe of Naphtali, and his father was a man of Tyre, a worker in bronze. And he was filled with wisdom and understanding, and cunning to work all works in bronze. And he came to King Solomon and did all his work.

¹² and the pattern of all that he had by the Spirit, of the courts of the house of Jehovah, and of all the rooms all around the treasuries of the house of God, and of the treasuries of the holy things;

¹⁹ All was in writing from the hand of Jehovah. He made me understand all the work of this pattern.

¹⁴ And Judah turned, and, behold, the battle was before and behind. And they cried to Jehovah, and the priests sounded with the trumpets.

²⁴ O Jehovah, how many are Your works! In wisdom You have made them all; the earth is full of Your riches.

²⁶ For his God instructs him to do right; his God teaches him.

⁸ For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor your ways My ways, says Jehovah. ⁹ For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.

³³ O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments, and His ways past finding out!

⁸ which He caused to abound toward us in all wisdom and understanding;

¹¹ in whom also we have been chosen to an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His own will,

¹⁰ so that now to the rulers and powers in the heavenlies might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,

³ in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

³ Talk no more so very proudly. Remove arrogance out of your mouth, for Jehovah is a God of knowledge, and by Him actions are weighed.

⁴ For You are not a God that enjoys wickedness; nor shall evil dwell with You. ⁵ The foolish shall not stand in Your sight. You hate all doers of iniquity.

¹⁰ You who love Jehovah, hate evil; He keeps the souls of His saints; He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.

³ I will set no wicked thing before my eyes. I have hated the work of those who turn aside; it shall not hold on to me.

¹⁰⁴ Through Your Commandments I get understanding; therefore I hate every false way.

¹²⁸ Therefore I count all Your Commandments concerning all things to be right; I hate every false way.

⁶ Though Jehovah is high, yet He has respect to the lowly; but the proud He knows afar off.

²⁴ Put away from you a wicked mouth, and devious lips put far from you.

¹² A worthless person, a wicked man walks with a crooked mouth,

¹⁶ These six Jehovah hates; yea, seven are hateful to his soul: ¹⁷ a proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, ¹⁸ a heart that plots wicked plans, feet hurrying to run to evil, ¹⁹ a false witness who speaks lies, and he who causes fighting among brothers.

³¹ The mouth of the just brings forth wisdom; but the perverse tongue shall be cut out.

⁶ By mercy and truth, iniquity is purged, and by the fear of Jehovah men turn away from evil.

¹⁸ Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.

¹⁵ Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate. It may be that the Lord Jehovah of Hosts will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph.

¹⁷ And let each devise no evil in your heart against his neighbor; and love no false oath. For all these are things that I hate, says Jehovah.

⁹ Let love be without hypocrisy, shrinking from evil, cleaving to good;

²² Abstain from every appearance of evil.

¹⁹ Nevertheless the foundation of God stands sure, having this seal: "The Lord knew those who are His." And, "Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity!"

⁵ Likewise, younger ones, be subject to older ones, and all being subject to one another. Put on humility. For God resists proud ones, but He gives grace to the humble.

⁵ A wise man is strong; yes, a man of knowledge increases strength.

¹⁹ Wisdom makes the wise stronger than ten mighty ones who are in the city.

¹⁶ And I said, Wisdom is better than strength; but the poor man's wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard. ¹⁷ The words of the wise are heard in quiet more than the cry of him who rules among fools. ¹⁸ Wisdom is better than weapons of war; but one sinner destroys much good.

⁶ For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be on His shoulder; and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

¹⁴ With whom did He take counsel, and who instructed Him and taught Him in the path of judgment, and taught Him knowledge, and made known the way of understanding to Him?

⁹ He was the true Light; He enlightens every man coming into the world.

²² Professing to be wise, they became fools

³³ O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments, and His ways past finding out! ³⁴ For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who became His counselor?

²⁴ But to them, the called-out ones, both Jews and Greeks, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God.

³⁰ But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who of God is made to us wisdom and righteousness and sanctification and redemption;

¹⁷ And when Samuel saw Saul, Jehovah said to him, Behold the man of whom I spoke to you! This one shall reign over My people.

¹ And Jehovah said to Samuel, How long will you mourn for Saul, since I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? Fill your horn with oil and go. I will send you to Jesse of Bethlehem. For I have seen a king for Me among his sons.

⁹ And give to Your servant an understanding heart, to judge Your people, to discern between good and bad. For who is able to judge this, Your great people?

²⁸ And all Israel heard of the judgment which the king had judged. And they feared the king, for they saw that the wisdom of God was in him to do judgment.

⁷ And it happened when Hiram heard the words of Solomon, he rejoiced greatly and said, Blessed be Jehovah this day, who has given David a wise son over this great people.

⁹ Blessed is Jehovah your God, who delighted in you, to set you on the throne of Israel. Because Jehovah loved Israel forever; therefore, He made you king to do judgment and justice.

⁵ And of all my sons (for Jehovah has given me many sons), He has chosen Solomon my son to sit on the throne of the kingdom of the Lord over Israel.

¹ A Psalm of Solomon. Give the King Your judgments, O God, and Your righteousness to the King's son. ² He will judge Your people in righteousness, and Your poor with judgment. ³ The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills by righteousness. ⁴ He shall judge the poor of the people; He shall save the children of the needy, and shall crush in pieces the cruel one.

⁴ The king's strength also loved judgment; You established uprightness; You worked judgment and righteousness in Jacob.

²⁶ And I will restore your judges as at first, and your counselors as at the beginning; afterwards you shall be called the city of righteousness, the faithful city.

¹ Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and rulers shall rule in judgment. ² And a man shall be as a hiding place from the wind, and a shelter from the tempest, like streams of water in a dry place, like the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.

⁵ I have made the earth, man, and the animals on the face of the earth, by My great power and by My outstretched arm, and have given it to whom it seemed right to Me. ⁶ And now I have given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, My servant. And I have also given him the beast of the field to serve him. ⁷ And all nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son's son, until the time of his own land comes. And then many nations and great kings shall enslave him.

And this writing was written. ²⁵ And this is the writing that was written, A MINA, A MINA, A SHEKEL, AND HALF-MINAS. ²⁶ This is the meaning of the thing: A MINA, God has numbered your kingdom and finished it. ²⁷ A SHEKEL, You are weighed in the balances and found wanting. ²⁸ HALF-MINAS, Your kingdom is divided and given to the Medes and Persians. ²⁹ Then Belshazzar commanded, and they clothed Daniel with scarlet and a golden chain around his neck, and made a proclamation concerning him that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom. ³⁰ In that night Belshazzar the king of the Chaldeans was killed. ³¹ And Darius the Mede took the kingdom, being a son of sixty-two years.

¹³ I saw in the night visions, and behold, One like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of Days, and they brought Him near before Him. ¹⁴ And dominion and glory was given Him, and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations and languages, should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion which shall not pass away, and His kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

¹⁸ And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, All authority is given to Me in Heaven and in earth.

³⁰ And Jehovah, the God of Israel says, I said indeed, Your house and the house of your father should walk before Me forever. But now Jehovah says, Be it far from Me! For those who honor Me I will honor, and those that think little of Me shall be lightly regarded.

¹⁴ Because He has set His love on Me, therefore I will deliver Him; I will set Him on high, because He has known My name.

²⁸ Then they shall call upon me, and I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me;

¹ Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth, while the evil days do not come, nor the years draw near, when you shall say, I have no pleasure in them.

¹⁹ I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth. I did not say to the seed of Jacob, Seek me in vain. I Jehovah speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.

⁶ Seek Jehovah while He may be found; call on Him while He is near.

³³ But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you.

⁷ Ask and it shall be given to you; seek and you shall find; knock and it shall be opened to you. ⁸ For each one who asks receives; and he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, it shall be opened.

¹⁴ But when Jesus saw, He was much displeased and said to them, Allow the little children to come to Me and do not hinder them. For of such is the kingdom of God.

²¹ He who has My commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves Me. And he who loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will reveal Myself to him.

²³ Jesus answered and said to him, If a man loves Me, he will keep My Word. And My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him.

²⁷ for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me and have believed that I came out from God.

¹⁹ We love Him because He first loved us.

⁶ Your righteousness is like the great mountains; Your judgments are a great deep; O Jehovah, You keep man and beast.

³ Wealth and riches shall be in his house, and his righteousness stands forever.

¹⁶ Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand, riches and honor.

⁷ Wisdom is the main thing; get wisdom; and with all your getting get understanding. ⁸ Prize her, and she shall lift you up; she shall bring you to honor when you embrace her. ⁹ She shall give to your hand an ornament of grace; she shall shield you with a crown of glory.

⁴ Riches do not profit in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death.

¹⁴ But those riches perish by evil use. And he brings forth a son, and nothing is in his hand. ¹⁵ As he came forth from his mother's womb naked, he shall return to go as he came. And from his labor he may not carry anything that may go in his hand. ¹⁶ And this also is a sore evil, that in all, as he came, so shall he go; and what profit does he have who has labored for the wind?

¹⁹ Do not lay up treasures on earth for yourselves, where moth and rust corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal. ²⁰ But lay up treasures in Heaven for yourselves, where neither moth nor rust corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal.

⁴² But one thing is needful, and Mary has chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

²⁰ But God said to him, Fool! This night your soul shall be required of you, then whose shall be those things which you have prepared? ²¹ So is he who lays up treasure for himself and is not rich toward God.

³³ Sell what you have and give alms. Make for yourselves purses which do not become old, an unfailing treasure in Heaven, where no thief comes nor moth corrupts.

¹¹ Therefore if you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will entrust the true riches to you? ¹² And if you have not been faithful in that which is another's, who shall give you that which is your own?

⁸ This grace is given to me (who am less than the least of all saints) to preach the gospel of the unsearchable riches of Christ among the nations,

¹⁹ But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

¹⁷ Charge the rich in this world that they be not high-minded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, He offering to us richly all things to enjoy, ¹⁸ that they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to share, to be generous, ¹⁹ laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

⁵ Listen, my beloved brothers, has not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He has promised to those who love Him?

¹ Come now, rich ones, weep and howl for your hardships coming on. ² Your riches have rotted, and your clothes have become moth-eaten. ³ Your gold and silver have corroded, and their poison will be a witness against you, and will eat your flesh as fire. You heaped treasure in the last days.

¹⁸ I counsel you to buy from Me gold purified by fire, so that you may be rich; and white clothing, so that you may be clothed, and so that the shame of your nakedness does not appear. And anoint your eyes with eye salve, so that you may see.

¹⁴ For the profit from it is better than the gain from silver, and its produce more than fine gold;

¹⁰ Receive my instruction and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold.

¹² For wisdom is a defense, and money is a defense; but the excellency of knowledge is that wisdom gives life to those who have it.

³² And you shall be careful to do as Jehovah your God has commanded you. You shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left.

³ He restores my soul; He leads me in paths of righteousness for His name's sake.

⁴ Make me know Your ways, O Jehovah; teach me Your paths. ⁵ Lead me in Your truth, and teach me; for You are the God of my salvation; on You I wait all the day long.

⁸ I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you, My eye shall be on you.

⁶ In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

¹¹ I have taught you in the way of wisdom; I have led you in the right paths. ¹² When you go, your steps shall not be narrowed, and when you run, you shall not stumble.

²⁵ Let your eyes look right on, and let your eyelids look straight before you. ²⁶ Ponder the path of your feet, and all your ways will be established. ²⁷ Do not turn to the right hand nor to the left; remove your foot from evil.

²² When you go, it shall lead you; when you sleep, it shall keep you; and when you awake, it shall talk with you.

³ And many people shall go and say, Come, and let us go to the mountain of Jehovah, to the house of the God of Jacob. And He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths. For out of Zion shall go out the Law, and the Word of Jehovah from Jerusalem.

¹⁰ They shall not hunger nor thirst; nor shall the heat nor sun strike them; for He who has mercy on them shall lead them; even by the springs of water He shall guide them.

⁴ Behold, I have given Him for a witness to the people, a Leader and Commander of peoples.

³ The doorkeeper opens to him, and the sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.

²⁷ My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. ²⁸ And I give to them eternal life, and they shall never ever perish, and not anyone shall pluck them out of My hand.

¹⁷ For the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will feed them and will lead them to the fountains of living waters. And God will wipe away all tears from their eyes.

¹⁴ And also I will judge that nation whom they shall serve. And afterward they shall come out with great substance.

⁸ He raises up the poor out of the dust; He lifts up the needy from the dunghill to set them among princes; yea, He causes them to inherit a throne of honor; for to Jehovah are the pillars of the earth; and He sets the habitable world on them.

¹¹ You will make Me know the way of life; in Your presence is fullness of joys. At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

¹³ we shall find all precious goods; we shall fill our houses with plunder;

³¹ but if he is found, he shall restore sevenfold; he shall give all the goods of his house.

¹⁸ Riches and honor are with me; enduring riches and righteousness.

⁴ and by knowledge the rooms shall be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.

⁴⁶ And these shall go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into everlasting life.

¹⁹ and to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge, that you might be filled with all the fullness of God. ²⁰ Now to Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,

³⁴ For you both sympathized with my bonds and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that you have in Heaven a better and an enduring substance.

⁴ to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled, and unfading, reserved in Heaven for you

⁷ He who overcomes will inherit all things, and I will be his God, and he will be My son.

²⁶ When He made a decree for the rain, and a way for the lightning to thunder; ²⁷ then He saw it, and declared it; He prepared it, yea, and searched it out. ²⁸ And to man He said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom! And to depart from evil is understanding!

¹⁹ Jehovah has founded the earth by wisdom; by understanding He has founded the heavens.

¹ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. ² He was in the beginning with God.

¹⁷ And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist.

²⁶ And God said, Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the heavens, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over all the creepers creeping on the earth.

⁶ Yea, I have set My king on My holy hill, on Zion.

² And you, Bethlehem Ephratah, you being least among the thousands of Judah, out of you He shall come forth to Me, to become Ruler in Israel, He whose goings forth have been from of old, from the days of eternity.

⁵ And now Father, glorify Me with Yourself with the glory which I had with You before the world was.

²⁴ Father, I desire that those whom You have given Me, that they may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me, for You have loved Me before the foundation of the world.

¹⁰ for an administration of the fullness of times, to head up all things in Christ, both the things in Heaven, and the things on earth, even in Him, ¹¹ in whom also we have been chosen to an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His own will,

¹ That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of Life, ² (for the Life was revealed, and we have seen it and bear witness, and show to you the everlasting Life, who was with the Father and was revealed to us),

² And the earth was without form and empty. And darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved on the face of the waters.

⁷ I will declare the decree of Jehovah. He has said to Me, You are My Son; today I have begotten You.

²⁰ By His knowledge the depths are broken up, and the clouds drop down the dew.

¹⁴ And the Word became flesh, and tabernacled among us. And we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and of truth.

²⁰ For the Father loves the Son and shows Him all the things that He Himself does. And He will show Him greater works than these, so that you may marvel.

⁵ For to which of the angels did He say at any time, "You are My Son, this day I have begotten You?" And again, "I will be to Him a Father, and He shall be to Me a Son?"

⁹ In this the love of God was revealed in us, because God sent His only begotten Son into the world that we might live through Him.

⁷ Were you the first man born? Or were you made before the hills? ⁸ Have you heard the secret counsel of God? And do you limit wisdom to yourself?

⁴ Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell if you have understanding! ⁵ Who has set its measurements, for you know? Or who has stretched the line on it? ⁶ On what are its bases sunk, or who cast its cornerstone, ⁷ when the morning stars sang together and all the sons of God shouted for joy? ⁸ Or who shut up the sea with doors, when it broke forth as it came from the womb? ⁹ When I made the clouds its robe, and darkness its navel-band, ¹⁰ and set My limit on it, and set bars and doors, ¹¹ and I said, You shall come to here, but no further; and here your proud waves shall stop.

² Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever You had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting You are God.

²⁵ Of old You have laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the work of Your hands. ²⁶ They shall perish, but You shall endure; yea, all of them shall become old like a garment; like a robe You shall change them, and they shall be changed; ²⁷ but You are He, and Your years shall have no end. ²⁸ The sons of Your servants shall continue, and their seed shall be established before You.

¹⁰ He has described a circle on the surface of the waters to the boundary of light with darkness.

⁶ By the Word of Jehovah were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.

¹⁹ Jehovah has prepared His throne in the heavens; and His kingdom rules over all.

⁵ To Him who by wisdom made the heavens; for His mercy endures forever.

¹¹ He shall feed His flock like a shepherd; He shall gather the lambs with His arm, and carry them in His bosom, and shall gently lead those with young.

²² It is He who sits on the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers; who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in;

¹² He has made the earth by His power; He has established the world by His wisdom, and has stretched out the heavens by His judgment.

¹⁶ For all things were created in Him, the things in the heavens, and the things on the earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers, all things were created through Him and for Him.

² has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, by whom also He made the worlds,

⁹ And God said, Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together to one place, and let the dry land appear; and it was so. ¹⁰ And God called the dry land, Earth. And He called the gathering together of the waters, Seas. And God saw that it was good.

⁷ He gathered the waters of the sea like a heap, setting the depths in storehouses.

⁵ He laid the earth on its foundations; it shall not be shaken forever.

⁹ You have set a bound that they may not pass over, so that they do not turn again to cover the earth.

²² Do you not fear Me? says Jehovah. Will you not tremble at My presence, I who have placed the sand for the boundary of the sea by a never-ending decree, so that it cannot pass it? And though they toss themselves, yet they cannot prevail; though its waves roar, yet they cannot pass over it?

¹ Behold My Servant, whom I uphold; My Elect, in whom My soul delights. I have put My Spirit on Him; He shall bring out judgment to the nations.

¹⁷ And lo, a voice from Heaven, saying, This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

⁵ While he yet spoke, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them. And behold a voice out of the cloud which said, This is My beloved Son in whom I am well pleased, hear Him.

¹ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. ² He was in the beginning with God. ³ All things came into being through Him, and without Him not even one thing came into being that has come into being.

¹⁸ No one has seen God at any time; the Only-begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.

²⁸ Father, glorify Your name! Then there came a voice from the heaven saying, I have both glorified it and will glorify it again.

²⁸ I came forth from the Father, and have come into the world. Again I leave the world and go to the Father.

¹³ For He has delivered us from the power of darkness and has translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son;

³ As to the saints in the earth, they are the excellent, in whom is all my delight.

⁶ Sacrifice and offering You did not desire; My ears You have opened; burnt offering and sin offering You have not asked. ⁷ Then I said, Lo, I come, in the volume of the Book it is written of Me; ⁸ I delight to do Your will, O My God; and Your Law is within My heart.

³⁴ Jesus said to them, My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to finish His work.

¹ And before the feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that His hour had come when He should depart out of this world to the Father, having loved His own in the world, He loved them to the end.

⁹ For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though He was rich, for your sakes He became poor, in order that you might be made rich through His poverty.

¹ Blessed is the man who has not walked in the counsel of the ungodly, and has not stood in the way of sinners, and has not sat in the seat of the scornful. ² But his delight is only in the Law of Jehovah; and in His Law he meditates day and night. ³ And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivulets of water that brings forth its fruit in its seasons, and its leaf shall not wither, and all which he does shall be blessed. ⁴ The wicked are not so, but are like chaff which the wind drives away.

¹ ALEPH: Blessed are the upright in the way, who walk in the Law of Jehovah. ² Blessed are they who keep His testimonies, and who seek Him with all the heart.

¹ A Song of degrees. Blessed is everyone who fears Jehovah, who walks in His ways.

⁷ And now hear me, O sons, and do not depart from the words of my mouth.

²⁴ And now listen to me, sons, and attend to the words of my mouth.

²⁸ But He said, No; rather, blessed are they who hear the Word of God and keep it.

¹¹ But My people would not listen to My voice, and Israel would have none of Me. ¹² So I gave them up to the stubbornness of their own hearts; and they walked in their own conceits.

² to know wisdom and instruction; to recognize the words of understanding; ³ to receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and uprightness;

⁸ My son, hear the instruction of your father, and forsake not the law of your mother;

²¹ she cries in the chief place of gathering, in the openings of the gates; in the city she utters her words, saying,

¹ Sons, hear the instruction of a father, and listen in order to know understanding.

¹ My son, listen to my wisdom; bow your ear to my understanding;

³⁵ This Moses whom they refused, saying, Who made you a ruler and a judge? God has sent this one to be a ruler and a redeemer by the hand of the Angel who appeared to him in the Bush. ³⁶ He brought them out after he had worked wonders and miracles in the land of Egypt and in the Red Sea and in the wilderness forty years. ³⁷ This is that Moses who said to the sons of Israel, "The Lord your God shall raise up a Prophet to you from your brothers, One like me; you shall hear Him."

¹⁶ But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, "Lord, who has believed our report?" ¹⁷ Then faith is of hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.

²⁵ See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape, those who refused him that spoke on earth, much more we shall not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from Heaven,

⁴ One thing I have desired from Jehovah, that I will seek after: that I may dwell in the house of Jehovah all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of Jehovah, and to pray in His temple.

¹⁰ For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than dwell in the tents of wickedness.

¹³ Those that are planted in the house of Jehovah shall flourish in the courts of our God.

³ yea, if you cry after knowledge and lift up your voice for understanding; ⁴ if you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures,

¹³ Blessed is the man who finds wisdom, and the man who gets understanding.

¹⁸ She is a tree of life to those who lay hold upon her; and happy is everyone who keeps her.

²⁴ Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on a rock.

⁶ And they were both righteous before God, walking blameless in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord.

³⁹ And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus' feet and heard His word.

³¹ Then Jesus said to the Jews who believed on Him, If you continue in My Word, you are My disciples indeed. ³² And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

⁴² And they were continuing steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine, and in fellowship and in the breaking of the loaves, and in prayers.

¹¹ And these were more noble than those of Thessalonica, in that they received the Word with all readiness of mind and searched the Scriptures daily to see if those things were so. ¹² Therefore many of them believed, and quite a few of honorable Greek women and men.

²² But become doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. ²³ For if anyone is a hearer of the Word and not a doer, he is like a man studying his natural face in a mirror. ²⁴ For he studied himself and went his way, and immediately he forgot what he was like. ²⁵ But whoever looks into the perfect Law of liberty and continues in it, he is not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work. This one shall be blessed in his doing.

³³ But whoever listens to me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.

¹³ Blessed is the man who finds wisdom, and the man who gets understanding. ¹⁴ For the profit from it is better than the gain from silver, and its produce more than fine gold; ¹⁵ she is more precious than rubies; and all the things you can desire are not to be compared with her. ¹⁶ Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand, riches and honor. ¹⁷ Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. ¹⁸ She is a tree of life to those who lay hold upon her; and happy is everyone who keeps her.

²² For they are life to those who find them, and health to all his flesh.

² The good gets grace from Jehovah, but He will condemn a man of wicked thoughts.

³⁶ He who believes on the Son has everlasting life, and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides upon him.

³ And this is life eternal, that they might know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.

⁶ to the praise of the glory of His grace, in which He has made us accepted in the One having been loved.

⁸ But no, rather, I also count all things to be loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them to be dung, so that I may win Christ

³ For you died, and your life has been hidden with Christ in God.

¹¹ And this is the record, that God has given to us everlasting life, and this life is in His Son. ¹² He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.

³¹ and they shall eat the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own desires.

¹¹ and you moan when your end comes, when your flesh and muscle are eaten away, ¹² and say, How I have hated instruction, and my heart despised correction;

²² His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be held with the cords of his sin. ²³ He shall die without instruction; and in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray.

¹ Whoever loves instruction loves knowledge; but he who hates correction is like a brute animal.

³² He who refuses instruction despises his own soul, but he who hears reproof gets understanding.

² The fear of a king is as the roaring of a lion; whoever stirs him up to anger sins against his own soul.

⁶ The getting of treasures by a lying tongue is a vanity tossed to and fro by those who seek death.

³¹ Cast away from you all your sins by which you have sinned; and make you a new heart and a new spirit; for why will you die, O house of Israel?

¹¹ Say to them: As I live, says the Lord Jehovah, I have no delight in the death of the wicked, except in the turning of the wicked from his way, and so to live. Turn, turn from your evil ways; for why will you die, O house of Israel?

¹⁹ And this is the condemnation, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than the Light, because their deeds were evil. ²⁰ For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light, lest his deeds should be exposed.

²³ He who hates Me hates My Father also. ²⁴ If I had not done among them the works which no other did, they would not have had sin. But now they have both seen and hated Me and My Father.

⁴⁶ But speaking boldly, Paul and Barnabas said, It was necessary for the Word of God to be spoken to you first. But since indeed you put it far from you and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the nations.

²² If anyone does not love the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be accursed. The Lord comes!

³ how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by those who heard Him;

²⁹ Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy of punishment, the one who has trampled the Son of God, and who has counted the blood of the covenant with which he was sanctified an unholy thing, and has insulted the Spirit of grace?
