⁵ Let them praise the name of Jehovah; for He commanded, and they were created.

¹ In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. ² And the earth was without form and empty. And darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved on the face of the waters.

⁶ And God said, Let there be an expanse in the middle of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

⁶ By the Word of Jehovah were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth. ⁷ He gathered the waters of the sea like a heap, setting the depths in storehouses. ⁸ Let all the earth fear Jehovah; let all the people of the world stand in awe of Him. ⁹ For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood.

⁵ The sea is His, and He made it, and His hands formed the dry land.

¹¹ So you shall say to them, The gods who have not made the heavens and the earth, they shall perish from the earth and from under these heavens. ¹² He has made the earth by His power; He has established the world by His wisdom, and has stretched out the heavens by His judgment. ¹³ When He utters His voice, there is a noise of many waters in the heavens. He causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth; He makes lightnings with rain, and brings forth the wind out of His treasures.

⁶ It is He who builds His staircase in the heavens, and He has founded the heavens on the earth; He who calls for the waters of the sea, and pours them out on the face of the earth; Jehovah is His name.

¹¹ O Lord, You are worthy to receive glory and honor and power, because You created all things, and for Your will they are and were created.
