¹⁹ You have known my reproach, and my shame, and my dishonor; my enemies are all before You.

² The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers plot together, against Jehovah and against His anointed, saying, ³ Let us break their bands in two and cast away their cords from us. ⁴ He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; Jehovah shall mock at them.

⁶ But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised by the people. ⁷ All who see Me mock me; they shoot out the lip; they shake the head, saying,

⁹ My Lord, all my desire is before You; and my sighing is not hidden from You.

⁷ because I have borne reproach for Your sake, shame has covered my face. ⁸ I have become a stranger to My brothers, and a foreigner to My mother's children. ⁹ For the zeal of Your house has eaten Me up; and the reproaches of those who reproached You have fallen on Me.

³ He is despised and rejected of men; a Man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and as it were a hiding of faces from Him, He being despised, and we esteemed Him not.

⁴⁹ Jesus answered, I do not have a demon, but I honor My Father, and you dishonor Me.

² looking to Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right of the throne of God.
