⁴ Give joy to the soul of Your servant; for to You, O Lord, I lift up my soul.

¹ A Psalm of David. To You, O Jehovah, I lift up my soul.

¹² Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit.

⁸ Trust in Him at all times; you people, pour out your heart before Him; God is a hiding-place for us. Selah.

⁸ Cause me to hear Your loving-kindness in the morning, for I do trust in You; cause me to know the way in which I should walk, for I lift up my soul to You.

³ to appoint to those who mourn in Zion, to give to them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the mantle of praise for the spirit of heaviness; so that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of Jehovah, that He might be glorified.

¹⁸ But be glad and rejoice forever in that which I create; for behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.

¹³ As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you; and you will be comforted in Jerusalem. ¹⁴ And you will see, and your heart will rejoice, and your bones will flourish like the grass. And the hand of Jehovah will be known toward His servants, and His fury toward His enemies.
