¹ And David the king said to all the assembly, Solomon my son, whom alone God has chosen, is yet young and tender and the work is great, for the palace is not for man, but for Jehovah God.
² Now I have prepared with all my might for the house of my God the gold for the things of gold and the silver for the things of silver and the brass for the things of brass, the iron for the things of iron and wood for the things of wood, onyx stones and stones to be set, stones for inlaid work and of different colors and all manner of precious stones and marble stones in abundance.
³ Moreover also, because I have set my affection on the house of my God, seeing that I have a treasure of my own of gold and silver, I give it to the house of my God over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house, ⁴ even three thousand talants of gold, of the gold of Ophir and seven thousand talants of refined silver, with which to overlay the walls of the houses, ⁵ of gold for the things of gold and of silver for the things of silver and for all manner of work to be made by the hands of artisans. Who then offers willingly to consecrate himself this day to Jehovah?
⁶ Then the rulers of the fathers and the rulers of the tribes of Israel and the captains of thousands and of hundreds, with the rulers over the king's work, offered willingly. ⁷ And they gave for the service of the house of God of gold five thousand talants and ten thousand 128-grain weights and of silver ten thousand talants and of brass eighteen thousand talants and of iron a hundred thousand talants. ⁸ And those with whom precious stones were found gave them to the treasure of the house of Jehovah under the hand of Jehiel the Gershonite.
⁹ Then the people rejoiced, because they offered willingly, because with a perfect heart they offered willingly to Jehovah.
And David the king also rejoiced with great joy. ¹⁰ Therefore David praised Jehovah before all the assembly. And David said, You are blessed, O Jehovah, the God of Israel our father, everlasting and everlasting. ¹¹ Yours, O Jehovah, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and on the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Jehovah and you are exalted as head above all. ¹² Both riches and honor come of you and you rule over all. And in your hand is power and might. And in your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all. ¹³ Now therefore, our God, we thank you and praise your glorious name.
¹⁴ But who am I and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? For all things come of you and of your own have we given you. ¹⁵ For we are strangers before you and travelers, as all our fathers were. Our days on the earth are as a shadow and there is no abiding.
¹⁶ O Jehovah our God, all this store that we have prepared to build you a house for your holy name comes of your hand and is all your own. ¹⁷ I know also, my God, that you try the heart and have pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of my heart I have willingly offered all these things. And now I have seen with joy your people, who are present here, offer willingly to you.
¹⁸ O Jehovah, the God of Abraham, of Isaac and of Israel, our fathers, keep this everlasting in the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of your people and prepare their heart to you. ¹⁹ And give to Solomon my son a perfect heart, to keep your commandments, your testimonies and your statutes and to do all these things and to build the palace for you, for which I have made provision.
²⁰ And David said to all the assembly, Now praise Jehovah your* God. And all the assembly praised Jehovah, the God of their fathers and bowed down their heads and bowed-down to Jehovah and the king.
²¹ And they sacrificed sacrifices to Jehovah and offered burnt offerings to Jehovah on the morrow after that day, even a thousand bullocks, a thousand rams and a thousand lambs, with their drink offerings and sacrifices in abundance for all Israel, ²² and ate and drank before Jehovah on that day with great gladness. And they made Solomon the son of David king the second time and anointed him to Jehovah to be prince and Zadok to be priest.
²³ Then Solomon sat on the throne of Jehovah as king instead of David his father and prospered and all Israel obeyed him. ²⁴ And all the rulers and the mighty men and all the sons likewise of king David, submitted themselves to Solomon the king.
²⁵ And Jehovah magnified Solomon exceedingly in the sight of all Israel and bestowed upon him such royal majesty as had not been on any king before him in Israel.
²⁶ Now David the son of Jesse reigned over all Israel. ²⁷ And the time that he reigned over Israel was forty years. He reigned seven years in Hebron and he reigned thirty-three years in Jerusalem.
²⁸ And he died in a good old age, full of days, riches and honor. And Solomon his son reigned instead of him.
²⁹ Now the acts of David the king, first and last, behold, they are written in the history of Samuel the seer and in the history of Nathan the prophet and in the history of Gad the seer, ³⁰ with all his reign and his might and the times that went over him and over Israel and over all the kingdoms of the countries.

⁷ And now, O Jehovah my God, you have made your servant king instead of David my father. And I am but a little child; I do not know how to go out or come in.

¹⁹ Nevertheless you will not build the house, but your son that will come forth out of your loins, he will build the house for my name.
²⁰ And Jehovah has established his word that he spoke, for I have risen up in the place of David my father and sit on the throne of Israel, as Jehovah promised and have built the house for the name of Jehovah, the God of Israel.

⁵ And David said, Solomon my son is young and tender and the house that is to be built for Jehovah must be exceedingly magnificent, of fame and of glory throughout all countries. I will therefore make preparation for it. So David prepared abundantly before his death.

¹ And David assembled all the rulers of Israel, the rulers of the tribes and the captains of the companies that served the king by division and the captains of thousands and the captains of hundreds and the rulers over all the substance and possessions of the king and of his sons, with the officers and the mighty men, even all the mighty men of valor, to Jerusalem.

⁵ And of all my sons (for Jehovah has given me many sons), he has chosen Solomon my son to sit upon the throne of the kingdom of Jehovah over Israel. ⁶ And he said to me, Solomon your son, he will build my house and my courts, for I have chosen him to be my son and I will be his father.

⁸ Now therefore, in the sight of all Israel, the assembly of Jehovah and in the audience of our God, observe and seek out all the commandments of Jehovah your* God, that you* may possess this good land and leave it for an inheritance to your* sons after you* until everlasting.

¹⁰ Take heed now, for Jehovah has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary. Be strong and do it.

¹⁹ And give to Solomon my son a perfect heart, to keep your commandments, your testimonies and your statutes and to do all these things and to build the palace for you, for which I have made provision.

⁴ Behold, I am about to build a house for the name of Jehovah my God, to dedicate it to him and to burn before him incense of sweet spices and for the continual showbread and for the burnt offerings morning and evening, on the Sabbaths and on the new moons and on the set feasts of Jehovah our God. This is an ordinance everlasting to Israel.
⁵ And the house which I build is great. For our God is great above all gods.

⁷ And there were gathered to him vain men, sons of worthlessness, who strengthened themselves against Rehoboam the son of Solomon when Rehoboam was young and tender-hearted and could not withstand them.

³ Because I was a son to my father, tender and only beloved in the sight of my mother.

⁶ Then I said, Ah, lord Jehovah! Behold, I do not know how to speak, for I am a child. ⁷ But Jehovah said to me, Do not say, I am a child. For I will send you to whomever; you will go and whatever I will command you; you will speak.

¹² And the gold of that land is good; there is bdellium and the onyx stone too.

¹⁷ And you will set in it settings of stones, four rows of stones: a row of ruby, topaz and carbuncle will be the first row,

²⁰ and the fourth row a beryl and an onyx and a jasper. They will be enclosed in gold in their settings.

⁶ And they worked the onyx stones, enclosed in settings of gold, engraved with the engravings of a signet, according to the names of the sons of Israel.

¹³ and the fourth row, a beryl, an onyx and a jasper. They were set in enclosures of gold in their settings.

³ And David prepared iron in abundance for the nails for the doors of the gates and for the couplings and brass in abundance without weight, ⁴ and cedar trees without number. For the Sidonians and those of Tyre brought cedar trees in abundance to David.
⁵ And David said, Solomon my son is young and tender and the house that is to be built for Jehovah must be exceedingly magnificent, of fame and of glory throughout all countries. I will therefore make preparation for it. So David prepared abundantly before his death.

¹⁴ Now, behold, in my affliction I have prepared for the house of Jehovah a hundred thousand talants of gold and a million talants of silver and of brass and iron without weight, for it is in abundance. Also I have prepared timber and stone and you may add to it.
¹⁵ Moreover there are workmen with you in abundance, hewers and workers of stone and timber and all men who are skillful in every manner of work. ¹⁶ Of the gold, the silver and the brass and the iron, there is no number. Arise and be doing and Jehovah be with you.

¹⁴ of gold by weight for the vessels of gold, for all vessels of every kind of service; of silver for all the vessels of silver by weight, for all vessels of every kind of service, ¹⁵ by weight also for the lamp-stands of gold and for the lamps of it, of gold, by weight for every lamp-stand and for the lamps of it and for the lamp-stands of silver, silver by weight for every lamp-stand and for the lamps of it, according to the use of every lamp-stand, ¹⁶ and the gold by weight for the tables of showbread, for every table and silver for the tables of silver, ¹⁷ and the forks and the basins and the cups, of pure gold and for the golden bowls by weight for every bowl and for the silver bowls by weight for every bowl, ¹⁸ and for the altar of incense refined gold by weight and gold for the pattern of the chariot, even the cherubim that spread out their wings and covered the ark of the covenant of Jehovah.

²⁰ And thus Hezekiah did throughout all Judah. And he worked what was good and right and faithful before Jehovah his God. ²¹ And in every work that he began in the service of the house of God and in the law and in the commandments, to seek his God, he did it with all his heart and prospered.

¹⁶ It cannot be valued with the gold of Ophir, with the precious onyx, or the sapphire.

¹⁰ Whatever your hand finds to do, do with your might, because there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in Sheol, where you go.

¹¹ O you afflicted, tossed with tempest and not comforted, behold, I will set your stones in fair colors and lay your foundations with sapphires. ¹² And I will make your pinnacles of rubies and your gates of carbuncles and all your border of precious stones.

³ I testify, because according to their power, and yet beyond their power, they gave of their own accord.

²³ And everything, anything whatever you do, work from your soul, as you would to the Lord and not as to men;

¹⁰ just-as each has received a gift, serving it for yourselves, as good stewards of the various favor s of God. ¹¹ If anyone is speaking, speak as the oracles of God; if anyone is serving, serve as from the strength which God is supplying; in order that God may be glorified in all things through Jesus Christ to whom is the glory and the dominion forevermore. Amen.

¹⁸ And the structure of its wall was jasper and the city was purest gold, similar to purest glass. ¹⁹ The foundations of the wall of the city have been adorned with every precious stone. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, chalcedony; the fourth, emerald; ²⁰ the fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, carnelian; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, topaz; the tenth, chrysoprase; the eleventh, hyacinth; the twelfth, amethyst. ²¹ And the twelve gates were twelve pearls apiece; each one of the gates was from one pearl, respectively and the street of the city was purest gold like transparent glass.

²⁴ And king David said to Ornan, No, but I will truly buy it for the full price. Because I will not take what is yours for Jehovah, nor offer a burnt offering without cost.

⁸ Jehovah, I love the habitation of your house and the place where your glory dwells.

⁴ One thing I have asked of Jehovah, that I will seek after, that I may dwell in the house of Jehovah all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of Jehovah and to inquire in his temple.

¹ How beloved are your tabernacles, O Jehovah of hosts!

¹⁰ Because a day in your courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

¹ I was glad when they said to me, Let us go to the house of Jehovah.
² Our feet are standing inside your gates, O Jerusalem. ³ Jerusalem, that is built as a city that is compact together, ⁴ where the tribes go up, even the tribes of Jehovah, for an ordinance for Israel, to give thanks to the name of Jehovah. ⁵ Because there thrones are set for judgment, the thrones of the house of David.
⁶ Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. They will prosper who love you. ⁷ Peace be within your walls and prosperity within your palaces.
⁸ For my brothers and companions' sakes I will now say, Peace be within you. ⁹ For the sake of the house of Jehovah our God I will seek your good.

⁹ Honor Jehovah with your substance and with the first-fruits of all your increase, ¹⁰ so your barns will be filled with plenty and your vats will overflow with new wine.

²⁸ And they came to Ophir and fetched gold from there, four hundred and twenty talants and brought it to king Solomon.

¹⁴ Now, behold, in my affliction I have prepared for the house of Jehovah a hundred thousand talants of gold and a million talants of silver and of brass and iron without weight, for it is in abundance. Also I have prepared timber and stone and you may add to it.

² Speak to the sons of Israel, that they take for me an offering; of every man whose heart makes him willing you* will take my offering.
³ And this is the offering which you* will take of them: gold and silver and brass, ⁴ and blue and purple and scarlet and fine linen and goats' hair, ⁵ and rams' skins dyed red and certain skins and acacia wood, ⁶ oil for the light, spices for the anointing oil and for the sweet incense, ⁷ onyx stones and stones to be set for the ephod and for the breastplate.
⁸ And let them make me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them. ⁹ According to all that I show you: the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of all the furniture of it, even so will you* make it.

⁵ You* take from among you* an offering to Jehovah. Whoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it–Jehovah's offering: gold and silver and brass, ⁶ and blue and purple and scarlet and fine linen and goats' hair, ⁷ and rams' skins dyed red and certain skins and acacia wood, ⁸ and oil for the light and spices for the anointing oil and for the sweet incense, ⁹ and onyx stones and stones to be set, for the ephod and for the breastplate.

² Then the rulers of Israel, the heads of their fathers' houses, offered. These were the rulers of the tribes. These are those who were over those who were numbered. ³ And they brought their oblation before Jehovah: six covered wagons and twelve oxen; a wagon for every two of the rulers and for each one an ox. And they presented them before the tabernacle.

¹⁰ And the rulers offered for the dedication of the altar in the day that it was anointed, even the rulers offered their oblation before the altar. ¹¹ And Jehovah said to Moses, They will offer their oblation, each ruler on his day, for the dedication of the altar.
¹² And he who offered his oblation the first day was Nahshon the son of Amminadab, of the tribe of Judah. ¹³ And his oblation was one silver platter, the weight of which was a hundred and thirty shekels, one silver bowl of seventy shekels, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, both of them full of fine flour mingled with oil for a meal offering; ¹⁴ one golden spoon of ten shekels, full of incense; ¹⁵ one young bullock, one ram, one male-lamb a year old, for a burnt offering; ¹⁶ one male of the goats for a sin offering; ¹⁷ and for the sacrifice of peace offerings, two oxen, five rams, five male-goats, five male-lambs a year old. ¹⁸ On the second day Nethanel the son of Zuar, ruler of Issachar, offered. ¹⁹ He offered for his oblation one silver platter, the weight of which was a hundred and thirty shekels, one silver bowl of seventy shekels, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, both of them full of fine flour mingled with oil for a meal offering; ²⁰ one golden spoon of ten shekels, full of incense; ²¹ one young bullock, one ram, one male-lamb a year old, for a burnt offering; ²² one male of the goats for a sin offering; ²³ and for the sacrifice of peace offerings, two oxen, five rams, five male-goats, five male-lambs a year old. ²⁴ On the third day was Eliab the son of Helon, ruler of the sons of Zebulun. ²⁵ His oblation was one silver platter, the weight of which was a hundred and thirty shekels, one silver bowl of seventy shekels, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, both of them full of fine flour mingled with oil for a meal offering; ²⁶ one golden spoon of ten shekels, full of incense; ²⁷ one young bullock, one ram, one male-lamb a year old, for a burnt offering; ²⁸ one male of the goats for a sin offering; ²⁹ and for the sacrifice of peace offerings, two oxen, five rams, five male-goats, five male-lambs a year old. ⁷⁸ On the twelfth day was Ahira the son of Enan, ruler of the sons of Naphtali. ⁷⁹ His oblation was one silver platter, the weight of which was a hundred a thirty shekels, one silver bowl of seventy shekels, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, both of them full of fine flour mingled with oil for a meal offering; ⁸⁰ one golden spoon of ten shekels, full of incense; ⁸¹ one young bullock, one ram, one male-lamb a year old, for a burnt offering; ⁸² one male of the goats for a sin offering; ⁸³ and for the sacrifice of peace offerings, two oxen, five rams, five male-goats, five male-lambs a year old. This was the oblation of Ahira the son of Enan.
⁸⁴ This was the dedication of the altar, in the day when it was anointed, by the rulers of Israel: twelve silver platters, twelve silver bowls, twelve golden spoons, ⁸⁵ each silver platter weighing a hundred and thirty shekels and each bowl seventy. All the silver of the vessels was two thousand and four hundred shekels, according to the shekel of the sanctuary. ⁸⁶ The twelve golden spoons, full of incense, weighed ten shekels apiece, according to the shekel of the sanctuary. All the gold of the spoons was a hundred and twenty shekels. ⁸⁷ All the oxen for the burnt offering were twelve bullocks, the rams twelve, the male-lambs a year old twelve and their meal offering and the males of the goats for a sin offering twelve. ⁸⁸ And all the oxen for the sacrifice of peace offerings was twenty-four bullocks, the rams sixty, the male-goats sixty, the male-lambs a year old sixty. This was the dedication of the altar after it was anointed.
⁸⁹ And when Moses went into the tent of meeting to speak with him, then he heard the Voice speaking to him from above the mercy-seat that was upon the ark of the testimony, from between the two cherubim and he spoke to him.

⁴ And whoever is left, in any place where he travels, let the men of his place help him with silver and with gold and with goods and with beasts, besides the free-will offering for the house of God which is in Jerusalem.
⁵ Then the heads of fathers of Judah and Benjamin and the priests and the Levites, even all whose spirit God had stirred, rose up to go up to build the house of Jehovah which is in Jerusalem. ⁶ And all those who were all around them strengthened their hands with vessels of silver, with gold, with goods and with beasts and with precious things, besides all that was willingly offered.

⁶⁸ And some of the heads of fathers, when they came to the house of Jehovah which is in Jerusalem, offered willingly for the house of God to set it up in its place. ⁶⁹ They gave after their ability into the treasury of the work sixty-one thousand 128-grain weights of gold and five thousand pounds of silver and one hundred priests' garments.

¹⁵ and to carry the silver and gold, which the king and his counselors have freely offered to the God of Israel, whose habitation is in Jerusalem, ¹⁶ and all the silver and gold that you will find in all the province of Babylon, with the free-will offering of the people and of the priests, offering willingly, for the house of their God which is in Jerusalem.

¹ Now the sons of Israel after their number, namely, the heads of fathers and the captains of thousands and of hundreds and their officers who served the king, in any matter of the divisions which came in and went out month by month throughout all the months of the year–of every division were twenty-four thousand.
² Jashobeam the son of Zabdiel was over the first division for the first month and in his division were twenty-four thousand. ³ He was of the sons of Perez, the chief of all the captains of the army for the first month.
⁴ And over the division of the second month was Dodai the Ahohite and his division. And Mikloth was the ruler. And in his division were twenty-four thousand.
⁵ The third captain of the army for the third month was Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada the priest, being chief. And in his division were twenty-four thousand. ⁶ This is that Benaiah who was the mighty man of the thirty and over the thirty. And of his division was Ammizabad his son.
⁷ The fourth captain for the fourth month was Asahel the brother of Joab and Zebadiah his son after him. And in his division were twenty-four thousand.
⁸ The fifth captain for this fifth month was Shamhuth the Izrahite. And in his division were twenty-four thousand. ⁹ The sixth captain for the sixth month was Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite. And in his division were twenty-four thousand.
¹⁰ The seventh captain for the seventh month was Helez the Pelonite, of the sons of Ephraim. And in his division were twenty-four thousand.
¹¹ The eighth captain for the eighth month was Sibbecai the Hushathite, of the Zerahites. And in his division were twenty-four thousand.
¹² The ninth captain for the ninth month was Abiezer the Anathothite, of the Benjamites. And in his division were twenty-four thousand.
¹³ The tenth captain for the tenth month was Maharai the Netophathite, of the Zerahites. And in his division were twenty-four thousand.
¹⁴ The eleventh captain for the eleventh month was Benaiah the Pirathonite, of the sons of Ephraim. And in his division were twenty-four thousand.
¹⁵ The twelfth captain for the twelfth month was Heldai the Netophathite, of Othniel. And in his division were twenty-four thousand.

²⁵ And Azmaveth the son of Adiel was over the king's treasures. And Jonathan the son of Uzziah was over the treasures in the fields, in the cities and in the villages and in the castles.

³ And nations will come to your light and kings to the brightness of your rising. ⁴ Lift up your eyes all around and see. They all gather themselves together. They come to you. Your sons will come from far and your daughters will be carried in the arms. ⁵ Then you will see and be radiant and your heart will thrill and be enlarged, because the abundance of the sea will be turned to you. The wealth of the nations will come to you. ⁶ The multitude of camels will cover you. The dromedaries of Midian and Ephah, all those from Sheba will come. They will bring gold and frankincense and will proclaim the praises of Jehovah. ⁷ All the flocks of Kedar will be gathered together to you. The rams of Nebaioth will minister to you. They will come up with acceptance on my altar and I will glorify the house of my glory.
⁸ Who are these that fly as a cloud and as the doves to their windows? ⁹ Surely the isles will wait for me and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring your sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, for the name of Jehovah your God and for the Holy One of Israel, because he has glorified you. ¹⁰ And foreigners will build up your walls and their kings will minister to you. For in my wrath I killed* you, but in my favor I have had mercy on you.

⁷ Let each man give just-as he proposes in his heart; not out of sorrow or out of necessity; for God loves a joyful giver.

⁶⁹ They gave after their ability into the treasury of the work sixty-one thousand 128-grain weights of gold and five thousand pounds of silver and one hundred priests' garments.

⁷⁰ And some from among the heads of fathers gave to the work. The governor gave to the treasury a thousand 128-grain weights of gold, fifty basins, five hundred and thirty priests' garments. ⁷¹ And some of the heads of fathers gave into the treasury of the work twenty thousand 128-grain weights of gold and two thousand and two hundred pounds of silver.

⁸ The sons of Ladan: Jehiel the chief and Zetham and Joel, three.

²¹ The sons of Ladan, the sons of the Gershonites belonging to Ladan, the heads of the fathers belonging to Ladan the Gershonite: Jehieli. ²² The sons of Jehieli: Zetham and Joel his brother, over the treasures of the house of Jehovah.

¹⁰ And you will keep the feast of weeks to Jehovah your God with a tribute of a free-will offering from your hand, which you will give, just-as Jehovah your God graces you.
¹¹ And you will rejoice before Jehovah your God, you and your son and your daughter and your man-servant and your maid-servant and the Levite who is within your gates and the traveler and the fatherless and the widow, who are in the midst of you, in the place which Jehovah your God will choose to cause his name to dwell there,

⁹ My heart is toward the governors of Israel, who offered themselves willingly among the people. Praise Jehovah.

⁶¹ Let your* heart therefore be perfect with Jehovah our God, to walk in his statutes and to keep his commandments, as at this day.

¹⁷ I know also, my God, that you try the heart and have pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of my heart I have willingly offered all these things. And now I have seen with joy your people, who are present here, offer willingly to you.

³ Your people offer themselves willingly in the day of your power, in holy array. Out of the womb of the morning you have the dew of your youth.

¹⁵ My son, if your heart is wise, my heart will be glad, even mine. ¹⁶ Yes, my heart will rejoice when your lips speak in uprightness.

⁶ And when he comes to his house, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, Rejoice together with me, because I have found my sheep which has been lost.

¹¹ I have spoken to you these things, in order that my joy may abide in you and in order that your joy should be fulfilled.

¹² For if the eagerness lays before you, according to whatever someone has, it is acceptable, not according to what he does not have.

⁷ Let each man give just-as he proposes in his heart; not out of sorrow or out of necessity; for God loves a joyful giver. ⁸ Now God is able to make abound all grace toward you; in order that having all self-sufficiency in everything, you should always abound to every good work;

¹⁵ in order that you might become blameless and harmless children of God, flawless in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as illuminations in the world. ¹⁶ Keep holding onto the word of life, for a boast to me in the day of Christ, that I did not run in vain nor labored in vain. ¹⁷ But even if I am a drink-offering upon the sacrifice and ministry of your faith, I am rejoicing, and even rejoicing together with you all.

¹ So-then my brethren, beloved and longed-for, my joy and crown, so stand-firm in the Lord, my beloved.

¹⁰ But I rejoice in the Lord greatly, that now at last, you have bloomed again the desire to be mindful of things on my behalf; in which, you were even mindful of me, but you had no opportunity.

⁶ But now, when Timothy came to us from you, and proclaimed to us good-news about your faith and love, and that you have a good remembrance of us always, longing to see us, just-as we also long to see you. ⁷ Brethren, because of this, we were comforted on the basis of you in all our affliction and calamity through your faith, ⁸ because now we live, if you stand-firm in the Lord. ⁹ For what thanksgiving are we able to repay to God concerning you? Over all the joy in which we are rejoicing before our God is because of you,

²⁸ And he said, Your name will be called Jacob no more, but Israel, because you have striven with God and with men and have prevailed.

²⁰ And he erected an altar there and called it El-Elohe-Israel.

¹⁵ And he said, Praise Jehovah, the God of Israel, who spoke with his mouth to David my father and has with his hand fulfilled it, saying,

²⁰ And David said to all the assembly, Now praise Jehovah your* God. And all the assembly praised Jehovah, the God of their fathers and bowed down their heads and bowed-down to Jehovah and the king.

⁴ And he said, Praise Jehovah, the God of Israel, who spoke with his mouth to David my father and has with his hands fulfilled it, saying,

²⁶ And on the fourth day they assembled themselves in the valley of Beracah, for there they praised Jehovah. Therefore the name of that place was called The valley of Beracah to this day. ²⁷ Then they returned, every man of Judah and Jerusalem and Jehoshaphat in the forefront of them, to go again to Jerusalem with joy. For Jehovah had made them to rejoice over their enemies. ²⁸ And they came to Jerusalem with psalteries and harps and trumpets to the house of Jehovah.

¹⁸ Praise Jehovah God, the God of Israel, who alone does wondrous things. ¹⁹ And praise his glorious name everlasting. And let the whole earth be filled with his glory. Truly and Truly.

⁵² Praise Jehovah everlasting. Truly and Truly.

¹ Praise Jehovah, O my soul and all that is within me, praise his holy name.
² Praise Jehovah, O my soul and do not forget all his benefits,

¹ I will give you thanks with my whole heart. I will sing praises to you before the gods.

² While I live I will praise Jehovah. I will sing praises to my God while I have any being.

¹⁶ For you are our Father, though Abraham knows us not and Israel does not acknowledge us, you, O Jehovah, are our Father, our Redeemer, from everlasting is your name.

¹² Then the Spirit lifted me up and I heard behind me the voice of a great rushing, saying, The glory of Jehovah from his place is blessed.

⁹ Therefore pray thus: our Father, the one in the heavens, let your name be made holy.

³ Give our needful daily bread to us.

⁷ To all those who are in Rome, beloved of God, called holy-ones: grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

¹⁵ For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the spirit of sonship, in which we cry, Abba, Father.

³ The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ is gracious, who has blessed us in every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,

²⁰ Now to our God and Father is the glory forevermore. Amen.

¹⁶ Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God and Father who loved us and gave us everlasting encouragement and good hope in his grace,

¹⁷ Now to the King of the ages, incorruptible, invisible, the only wise God, is honor and glory forevermore. Amen.

³ The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ is gracious, who according to his much mercy has born us again into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

¹² saying in a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb who has been slaughtered to receive the power and the riches, and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and thanks.

¹ In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

¹⁹ And he blessed him and said, Abram be blessed from God Most High, possessor of heaven and earth.

²² And Abram said to the King of Sodom, I have lifted up my hand to Jehovah, God Most High, possessor of heaven and earth,

²⁹ And also the Strength of Israel will not lie nor repent, for he is not a man that he should repent.

⁵ Then the Levites, Jeshua and Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabneiah, Sherebiah, Hodiah, Shebaniah, and Pethahiah, said, Stand up and praise Jehovah your* God from everlasting to everlasting. And praise your glorious name, which is exalted above all blessing and praise.

²² Out of the north comes golden splendor. God has upon him awesome majesty.

¹³ Be exalted, O Jehovah, in your strength. We will sing and praise your power.

⁴ The voice of Jehovah is powerful. The voice of Jehovah is full of majesty.

³ Gird your sword upon your thigh, O mighty one, your glory and your majesty. ⁴ And in your majesty ride on prosperously because of truth and gentleness and righteousness. And your right hand will teach you awesome things.

¹⁰ Be still and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth.

⁹ The nobles of the peoples are gathered together, the people of the God of Abraham. Because the shields of the earth belong to God. He is greatly exalted.

⁵ Be exalted, O God, above the heavens, your glory above all the earth.

¹¹ Be exalted, O God, above the heavens, your glory above all the earth.

¹ Jehovah reigns! Let the earth rejoice. Let the multitude of isles be glad.

⁹ Because you, Jehovah, are most high above all the earth. You are exalted far above all gods.

¹ O sing to Jehovah a new song, because he has done marvelous things. His right hand and his holy arm, has worked salvation for him.

¹ Jehovah reigns! Let the peoples tremble. He sits above the cherubim, let the earth be moved.

¹ Praise Jehovah, O my soul.
O Jehovah my God, you are very great. You are clothed with honor and majesty,

¹⁵ Blessed are you* of Jehovah who made heaven and earth.
¹⁶ The heavens are the heavens of Jehovah, but the earth he has given to the sons of men.

¹ I will extol you, my God, O King and I will bless your name everlasting and forever.

¹² to make known to the sons of men his mighty acts and the glory of the majesty of his kingdom.
¹³ Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom and your dominion is throughout all generations.

¹⁰ Enter into the rock and hide you in the dust, from before the terror of Jehovah and from the glory of his majesty. ¹¹ The lofty looks of man will be brought low and the haughtiness of men will be bowed down and Jehovah alone will be exalted in that day.

⁴ And you* will say in that day, Give thanks to Jehovah. Call upon his name. Declare his practices among the peoples. Make mention that his name is exalted.

⁵ Thus says God, Jehovah, he who created the heavens and stretched them forth, he who spread abroad the earth and what comes out of it, he who gives breath to the people upon it and spirit to those who walk in it,

¹ Jehovah says thus, Heaven is my throne and the earth is my footstool. What manner of house will you* build to me and what place will be my rest?

¹⁰ But Jehovah is the true God. He is the living God and an everlasting King. At his wrath the earth trembles and the nations are not able to abide his indignation. ¹¹ Thus you* will say to them: The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, these will perish from the earth and from under the heavens.
¹² He has made the earth by his power. He has established the world by his wisdom and by his understanding he has stretched out the heavens.

⁵ I have made the earth, the men and the beasts that are upon the face of the earth, by my great power and by my outstretched arm and I give it to whom it seems right to me.

³ How great are his signs and how mighty are his wonders! His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom and his dominion is from generation to generation.

³⁰ The king spoke and said, Is not this great Babylon, which I have built for the royal dwelling-place by the might of my power and for the glory of my majesty?

³² And you will be driven from men and your dwelling will be with the beasts of the field. You will be made to eat grass as oxen and seven times will pass over you, until you know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men and gives it to whomever he will.

³⁴ And at the end of the days I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted up my eyes to heaven and my understanding returned to me. And I blessed the Most High and I praised and honored he who lives forever. For his dominion is an everlasting dominion and his kingdom from generation to generation. ³⁵ And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing and he does according to his will in the army of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth. And none can stay his hand, or say to him, What are you doing?

¹³ And do not bring us into temptation, but rescue us from the evil one, because yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.

¹⁵ Which in its own times, he will show, the Blessed and only Sovereign, the King of those who are reigning, and a Lord of those who have lordship over others; ¹⁶ he who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light; whom no one from man has seen, nor is able to see: to whom is honor and everlasting dominion. Amen.

³ It is he who, being the brightness of his glory and the exact representation of his essence, and is carrying all things by his declaration of power. Having made a cleansing of our sins through himself, he sat down by the right hand of the Majesty in the high place;

²⁵ to the only wise God our Savior, is the glory and majesty, dominion and authority, both now and forever. Amen.

¹⁰ the twenty-four elders will fall down in his sight who is sitting upon the throne and will be worshiping the one who lives forevermore and will put their crowns in the sight of the throne, saying, ¹¹ Worthy are you, our Lord and our God, the holy one, to receive the glory and the honor and the power because you created all things and because they are your will and they were created.

¹² saying in a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb who has been slaughtered to receive the power and the riches, and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and thanks. ¹³ And every created thing which is in the heaven and upon the earth and underneath the earth and upon the sea and all things in them, I heard saying, To the one who is sitting upon the throne and to the Lamb, is the thanks and the honor and the glory and the dominion, forevermore. ⁹ I saw and behold after these things, a large crowd, which no one was able to number, out of every nation and tribes and peoples and languages, standing in the sight of the throne and in the sight of the Lamb, having been dressed in white robes and palm trees in their hands; ¹⁰ and they are crying with a loud voice, saying, The salvation is in our God who is sitting upon the throne and in the Lamb.
¹¹ And all the messengers and the elders and the four living creatures stood in a circle of the throne, and they fell upon their faces in the sight of the throne and worshiped God, ¹² saying, Assuredly, the thanks and the glory and the wisdom and the thanksgiving and the honor and the power and the strength is to our God, forevermore. Amen.

¹⁵ And the seventh messenger sounded, and there became loud voices in heaven saying, The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ and he will be reigning forevermore.

¹ I heard after these things, as it was a large voice of a large crowd in heaven, saying, Hallelujah! Salvation and power and glory, is from our God:

¹⁸ But you will remember Jehovah your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he swore to your fathers, as at this day.

⁷ Jehovah makes poor and makes rich. He brings low, he also lifts up. ⁸ He raises up the poor out of the dust, he lifts up the needy from the dunghill, to make them sit with rulers and inherit the throne of glory. For the pillars of the earth are Jehovah's and he has set the world upon them.

¹² wisdom and knowledge are granted to you. And I will give you riches and wealth and honor, such as none of the kings have had who have been before you, neither will any after you have the like.

⁹ For the eyes of Jehovah run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong to those whose heart is perfect toward him. In this you have done foolishly, for from hereafter you will have wars.

⁶ And he said, O Jehovah, the God of our fathers, are you not God in heaven? And are you not ruler over all the kingdoms of the nations? And in your hand is power and might, so that none is able to withstand you.

¹⁹ If of strength behold, he is mighty! And if of justice, who will summon me?

¹⁰ And Jehovah turned back the captivity of Job when he prayed for his friends. And Jehovah gave Job twice as much as he had before.

³¹ Because who is God, except Jehovah? And who is a rock, besides our God, ³² the God who girds me with strength and makes my way perfect?

⁸ Jehovah is their strength and he is a stronghold of salvation to his anointed.

¹ Give to Jehovah, O you* sons of the mighty, give to Jehovah glory and strength.

¹¹ Jehovah will give strength to his people. Jehovah will bless his people with peace.

¹¹ God has spoken once, twice I have heard this, that power belongs to God.

³⁴ Bestow strength to God. His excellency is over Israel and his strength is in the skies.
³⁵ O God, awesome out of your holy places, the God of Israel, he gives strength and power to his people. Praise God.

⁶ Because neither from the east, nor from the west, nor yet from the south, comes lifting up.
⁷ Because God is the judge. He put one down and lifts another up.

⁷ He raises up a poor man out of the dust and lifts up a needy man from the dunghill, ⁸ that he may set him with rulers, even with the rulers of his people.

¹ Praise Jehovah, my rock, who teaches my hands to war and my fingers to fight, ² my loving kindness and my fortress, my high tower and my deliverer, my shield and he in whom I take refuge, who subdues my people under me.

¹⁸ Riches and honor are with me, durable wealth and righteousness.

²² The blessing of Jehovah, it makes rich and he adds no sorrow with it.

¹⁹ Every man also to whom God has given riches and wealth and has given him power to eat of it and to take his portion and to rejoice in his labor–this is the gift of God.

²⁹ He gives power to the faint. And to him who has no might he increases strength.

¹³ Yes, since the day was I am he and there is none that can deliver out of my hand. I will work and who can hinder it?

²⁴ Only in Jehovah, it is said of me, is righteousness and strength. Even to him men will come and all those who were incensed against him will be put to shame.

¹⁰ declaring the end from the beginning and from long-ago things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel will stand and I will do all my pleasure,

¹⁸ O you king, the Most High God gave Nebuchadnezzar your father the kingdom and greatness and glory and majesty. ¹⁹ And because of the greatness that he gave him, all the peoples, nations and languages trembled and feared before him. Whom he wanted, he killed and whom he wanted, he kept alive and whom he wanted, he raised up and whom he wanted, he put down.
²⁰ But when his heart was lifted up and his spirit was hardened so that he dealt proudly, he was deposed from his kingly throne. And they took his glory from him, ²¹ and he was driven from the sons of men. And his heart was made like the beasts and his dwelling was with the wild donkeys. He was fed with grass like oxen and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, until he knew that the Most High God rules in the kingdom of men and that he sets up over it whomever he will.

²⁶ I make a decree, that in all the dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel, for he is the living God and steadfast forever. And his kingdom is what will not be destroyed and his dominion will be even to the end.

¹⁸ And Jesus came to them and spoke to them, saying, All authority has been given to me in heaven and upon earth.

⁵¹ He has made his dominion known with his arm. He has scattered the haughty in the perception of their heart. ⁵² He has taken down sovereigns from their thrones and has exalted the humble. ⁵³ He has filled the hungry with good things, and he has sent the rich away empty.

¹¹ Jesus answered, You have no authority against me, except what was given to you from above. He who gave me to you has the greater sin because of this.

³⁵ Or who has first-given to him and it will be repaid to him again? \ulnone\nosupersub ³⁶ It is because all things are from him and through him and to him. The glory is for him, forever. Amen.

¹⁶ in order that he may give to you, according to the riches of his glory, to be powerful with his power, through his Spirit in the inward man;

²⁰ Now to the one who is able to do, exceptionally beyond all things, what we are asking or are perceiving, according to the power which is working in us,

¹³ I am strong in all things in the Christ, who is empowering me.

¹¹ being empowered in all power, according to the dominion of his glory, for all endurance and patience with joy,

¹⁷ saying, We give-thanks to you, O Lord God, the Almighty, who are and who was, because you have taken your great power and reigned.

¹ O give thanks to Jehovah, call upon his name. Make known among the peoples his practices.

¹ Praise Jehovah. O give thanks to Jehovah, because he is good, because his loving kindness is everlasting.

²³ I thank you and praise you, O you, God of my fathers, who has given me wisdom and might and has now made known to me what we desired of you, for you have made known to us the king's matter.

¹⁴ Now gratitude to God, who always makes us to triumph in the Christ and the aroma of his knowledge in every place is manifest through us.

¹⁶ But gratitude is to God, who is giving the same diligent-aid into the heart of Titus on your behalf.

¹⁵ But gratitude is to God for his indescribable gift.

¹³ And we also are constantly giving-thanks to God because of this, because, when you accepted the word of God from our report, you accepted it not as the word of men, but just-as it truly is, the word of God, which is also working in you who believe.

²² then this stone, which I have set up as a pillar, will be God's house. And of all that you will give me I will surely give the tenth to you.

¹⁰ I am not worthy of the least of all the loving kindnesses and of all the truth, which you have shown to your servant, because with my staff I passed over this Jordan and now I have become two companies.

¹⁸ Then David the king went in and sat before Jehovah. And he said, Who am I, O lord Jehovah and what is my house, that you have brought me thus far?

⁹ Then the people rejoiced, because they offered willingly, because with a perfect heart they offered willingly to Jehovah.
And David the king also rejoiced with great joy.

¹⁰ Because every beast of the forest is mine and the cattle upon a thousand hills. ¹¹ I know all the birds of the mountains and the wild beasts of the field are mine.
¹² If I were hungry, I would not tell you, because the world is mine and the fullness of it.

¹ Not to us, O Jehovah, not to us, but to your name give glory. Upon your loving kindness and upon your truth's sake.

³⁶ It is because all things are from him and through him and to him. The glory is for him, forever. Amen.

⁹ For I am the least of the apostles, who is not sufficient to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the congregation^* of believers of God. ¹⁰ But I am what I am by the grace of God and his grace toward me has not become empty, but I labored even-more than they all did; but not I, but the grace of God which was together with me.

² Every first day of the week, let each of you place beside himself, storing up, if he prospers in anything, in order that whenever I come, no collections may happen then.

⁵ not that we are sufficient from ourselves, to reason anything as out of ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God;

⁹ And he has said to me, My grace is enough for you; for my power is completed in weakness. Therefore I will rather gladly be boasting in my weaknesses, in order that the power of the Christ might reside upon me. ¹⁰ Hence I am delighting in weaknesses, in insults, in calamities, in persecutions, in distresses, on behalf of Christ; for whenever I am weak, then I am mighty.
¹¹ I have become a boasting fool. You urged me to it. For I ought to have been commended by you; for I lacked in nothing over those preeminent apostles, even if I am nothing.

¹³ For it is God who is working in you both to will and to work, on behalf of his delight.

¹⁷ Every good act of giving, and every complete gift, is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no change, nor a shadow of turning.

¹⁰ the twenty-four elders will fall down in his sight who is sitting upon the throne and will be worshiping the one who lives forevermore and will put their crowns in the sight of the throne, saying,

⁹ And Jacob said to Pharaoh, The days of the years of my pilgrimage are a hundred and thirty years. Few and evil have been the days of the years of my life and they have not attained to the days of the years of the life of my fathers in the days of their pilgrimage.

²³ And the land will not be sold in perpetuity, for the land is mine. For you* are strangers and travelers with me.

² He comes forth like a flower and is cut down. He too flees as a shadow and does not continue.

¹² Hear my prayer, O Jehovah and listen to my cry. Do not keep silent at my tears, because I am a stranger with you, a traveler, as all my fathers were.

⁹ Because all our days are passed away in your wrath. We bring our years to an end as a sigh.

¹¹ My days are like a shadow that declines and I am withered like grass.

¹⁹ I am a traveler in the earth. Do not hide your commandments from me.

⁴ Man is like vanity. His days are as a shadow that passes away.

¹² Because who knows what is good for man in life, all the days of his vain life which he spends as a shadow? For who can tell a man what will be after him under the sun?

⁶ The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass and all the goodness of it is as the flower of the field. ⁷ The grass withers, the flower fades, because the breath of Jehovah blows upon it. Surely the people is grass. ⁸ The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand everlasting.

¹³ These all died according to faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them and having greeted them from farther out and having confessed that they are strangers and travelers upon the earth. ¹⁴ For those who are saying such things are disclosing that they are seeking after a fatherland. ¹⁵ And if they were indeed remembering that region from which they went out, they would have had an opportunity to revisit. ¹⁶ But now they are aspiring for themselves to a better region, this thing is a heavenly one. Hence God is not ashamed of them, to be called their God; for he has prepared a city for them.

¹⁴ You do not know what the next-day will bring, for what is your life? For it will be a vapor, which appears for a few but thereafter also disappears.

¹¹ Beloved, I am encouraging you, as foreigners and travelers, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which are warring against the soul;

¹⁴ But who am I and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? For all things come of you and of your own have we given you.

¹⁰ And Azariah the chief priest, of the house of Zadok, answered him and said, Since they began to bring the oblations into the house of Jehovah, we have eaten and had enough and have plenty left. For Jehovah has blessed his people and what is left is this great store.

¹ The earth is Jehovah's and the fullness of it, the world and those who dwell in it.

⁸ For she did not know that I gave her the grain and the new wine and the oil and multiplied to her silver and gold, which they used for Baal.

¹⁶ Now the first came before him, saying, Lord, your two-hundred denarius coin has been worked up to ten two-hundred denarius coins more.

² And you will remember all the way which Jehovah your God has led you these forty years in the wilderness, that he might humble you, to prove you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments, or not.

⁷ But Jehovah said to Samuel, Do not look on his countenance, or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For Jehovah sees not as man sees, for man looks on the outward appearance, but Jehovah looks on the heart.

⁹ And you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind, for Jehovah searches all hearts and understands all the imaginations of the thoughts. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever.

⁹ O let the evil of the wicked man come to an end, but establish the righteous man. For the righteous God tries the minds and hearts.

² He who walks uprightly and works righteousness and speaks truth in his heart,

⁶ Behold, you desire truth in the inward parts and in the hidden part you will make me to know wisdom.

²⁰ Those who are perverse in heart are an abomination to Jehovah, but such as are perfect in their way are his delight.

⁸ The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to Jehovah, but the prayer of the upright is his delight.
⁹ The way of a wicked man is an abomination to Jehovah, but he loves he who follows after righteousness.

² All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes, but Jehovah weighs the spirits.

³ The refining pot is for silver and the furnace for gold, but Jehovah tries the hearts.

² Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but Jehovah weighs the hearts.

¹⁰ I, Jehovah, search the mind. I try the heart, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his practices.

⁴⁷ Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward him and says concerning him, Behold, an Israelite in whom there truly is no treachery!

¹⁶ But I apply myself in this, having a guilt-free conscience always toward God and men.

¹² For this is our boasting, the testimony of our conscience, that in clarity and sincerity of God, not in fleshly wisdom but in the grace of God, we conducted ourselves in the world and even-more toward you.

¹⁰ You and God are witnesses, as we became holy and righteous and blameless toward you who believe.

⁷ For we have much gratitude and comfort in your love, because the hearts of the holy-ones have been given-rest through you, brother.

²⁰ Yes, brother, let me derive benefit from you in the Lord. Give-rest to my heart in the Lord.

¹² For the word of God is living and effective and sharper beyond that of any two edged sword and is penetrating till the division of both soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow and is a judge of the contemplations and deliberations of the heart.

²³ And I will be killing her children with death, and all the congregations will know that I am he who is searching the kidneys and hearts and I will be giving to you, each one according to your works.

⁵ And Jehovah saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only continually evil.

⁶ Moreover he said, I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face, because he was afraid to look upon God.

¹⁵ And God said moreover to Moses, Thus you will say to the sons of Israel, Jehovah, the God of your* fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you*. This is my name everlasting and this is my memorial to all generations.

⁵ that they may believe that Jehovah, the God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob, has appeared to you.

⁶ And Jehovah your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your seed, to love Jehovah your God with all your heart and with all your soul, that you may live.

¹⁷ Jehovah, you have heard the desire of the humble. You will prepare their heart, you will cause your ear to hear,

¹⁰ Create in me a clean heart, O God and renew a right spirit within me.

¹¹³ I hate those who are of a double mind, but I love your law.

¹⁶⁶ I have hoped for your salvation, O Jehovah and have done your commandments.

²³ O Jehovah, I know that the way of man is not in himself. It is not in man who walks to direct his steps.

³⁹ And I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear me forever, for the good of them and of their sons after them.

³² I am the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

¹³ The God of Abraham and of Isaac and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his young-servant Jesus; whom you indeed gave up and denied him in the face of Pilate, when he had decided to release that man.

⁶ I have confidence of this same thing, that he who has begun a good work in you will be completing it till the day of Jesus Christ;

⁹ And I am praying for this: in order that your love may abound still more and more in full knowledge and all comprehension; ¹⁰ that you may approve the things which are carrying more-value; in order that you may be sincere and guilt-free in the day of Christ; ¹¹ having been filled with the fruits of righteousness, which is through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

¹¹ Now may our God and Father himself and our Lord Jesus Christ, steer our way toward you.

¹⁶ Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God and Father who loved us and gave us everlasting encouragement and good hope in his grace, ¹⁷ may comfort your hearts and may establish them in all the word and in good work.

²¹ may he complete you in every good work, that you should practice his will, doing what is well pleasing in his sight in you, through Jesus Christ in whom is the glory, forevermore. Amen.

¹ And David the king said to all the assembly, Solomon my son, whom alone God has chosen, is yet young and tender and the work is great, for the palace is not for man, but for Jehovah God.
² Now I have prepared with all my might for the house of my God the gold for the things of gold and the silver for the things of silver and the brass for the things of brass, the iron for the things of iron and wood for the things of wood, onyx stones and stones to be set, stones for inlaid work and of different colors and all manner of precious stones and marble stones in abundance.

¹ Give the king your judgments, O God and your righteousness to the king's son.

⁸⁰ Let my heart be perfect in your statutes that I am not put to shame.

²⁶ And the man bowed his head and worshiped Jehovah.

⁴⁸ And I bowed my head and worshiped Jehovah and blessed Jehovah, the God of my master Abraham, who had led me in the right way to take my master's brother's daughter for his son.

³¹ And the people believed. And when they heard that Jehovah had visited the sons of Israel and that he had seen their affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshiped.

³¹ And Israel saw the great work which Jehovah did upon the Egyptians. And the people feared Jehovah and they believed in Jehovah and in his servant Moses.

³³ And the thing pleased the sons of Israel. And the sons of Israel blessed God and spoke no more of going up against them to war, to destroy the land in which the sons of Reuben and the sons of Gad dwelt.

¹⁸ So Samuel called to Jehovah and Jehovah sent thunder and rain that day. And all the people greatly feared Jehovah and Samuel.

³⁶ Praise Jehovah, the God of Israel, from everlasting even to everlasting.
And all the people said, Truly and praised Jehovah.

²¹ And when he had taken counsel with the people, he appointed those who should sing to Jehovah and give praise in holy array, as they went out before the army and say, Give thanks to Jehovah. For his loving kindness is everlasting.

¹ Give to Jehovah, O you* sons of the mighty, give to Jehovah glory and strength. ² Give to Jehovah the glory due to his name. Worship Jehovah in holy array.

⁶ O come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before Jehovah our maker.

² Lift up your* hands to the sanctuary and praise Jehovah.

¹⁹ O house of Israel, praise Jehovah. O house of Aaron, praise Jehovah. ²⁰ O house of Levi, praise Jehovah. You* who fear Jehovah, praise Jehovah. ²¹ Praise Jehovah out of Zion, who dwells at Jerusalem.
Praise Jehovah.

¹ I will extol you, my God, O King and I will bless your name everlasting and forever. ² Every day I will bless you and I will praise your name everlasting and forever.
³ Great is Jehovah and greatly to be praised and his greatness is unsearchable. ⁴ One generation will laud your works to another and will declare your mighty acts.
⁵ I will meditate on the glorious majesty of your honor and of your wondrous works.
⁶ And men will speak of the might of your fearful acts and I will declare your greatness. ⁷ They will pour out the memory of your great goodness and will sing of your righteousness.
⁸ Jehovah is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and of great loving kindness. ⁹ Jehovah is good to all and his tender mercies are over all his works.
¹⁰ All your works will give thanks to you, O Jehovah and your holy ones will praise you.
¹¹ They will speak of the glory of your kingdom and talk of your power, ¹² to make known to the sons of men his mighty acts and the glory of the majesty of his kingdom.
¹³ Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom and your dominion is throughout all generations.
¹⁴ Jehovah upholds all who fall and raises up all those who are bowed down. ¹⁵ The eyes of all wait for you and you give them their food in due season. ¹⁶ You open your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing.
¹⁷ Jehovah is righteous in all his ways and gracious in all his works. ¹⁸ Jehovah is near to all those who call upon him, to all who call upon him in truth.
¹⁹ He will fulfill the desire of those who fear him. He also will hear their cry and will save them. ²⁰ Jehovah preserves all those who love him, but he will destroy all the wicked.
²¹ My mouth will speak the praise of Jehovah. And let all flesh bless his holy name everlasting and forever.

¹³ Let them praise the name of Jehovah, because his name alone is exalted. His glory is above the earth and the heavens.
¹⁴ And he has lifted up the horn of his people, the praise of all his holy ones, even of the sons of Israel, a people near to him. Praise Jehovah.

²¹ My son, fear Jehovah and the king and do not associate with those who are given to change.

¹⁷ Honor all men. Love^*\'b0 the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king.

¹³ And the meal offering of it will be two tenth parts of an ephah of fine flour mingled with oil, an offering made by fire to Jehovah for a sweet aroma. And the drink offering of it will be of wine, the fourth part of a hin.

⁵ And wine for the drink offering, the fourth part of a hin, you will prepare with the burnt offering, or for the sacrifice, for each lamb.

⁷ And for the drink offering you will offer the third part of a hin of wine, of a sweet aroma to Jehovah.

¹⁰ And you will offer for the drink offering half a hin of wine, for an offering made by fire, of a sweet aroma to Jehovah.

⁶² And the king and all Israel with him, offered sacrifice before Jehovah. ⁶³ And Solomon offered for the sacrifice of peace offerings, which he offered to Jehovah, twenty-two thousand oxen and a hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the sons of Israel dedicated the house of Jehovah.
⁶⁴ The same day the king made the middle of the court holy that was before the house of Jehovah, for there he offered the burnt offering and the meal offering and the fat of the peace offerings, because the brazen altar that was before Jehovah was too little to receive the burnt offering and the meal offering and the fat of the peace offerings.
⁶⁵ So Solomon held the feast at that time and all Israel with him, a great assembly, from the entrance of Hamath to the brook of Egypt, before Jehovah our God, seven days and seven days, even fourteen days.

⁴ Then the king and all the people offered sacrifice before Jehovah. ⁵ And king Solomon offered a sacrifice of twenty-two thousand oxen and a hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the people dedicated the house of God.
⁶ And the priests stood according to their offices, also the Levites with instruments of music of Jehovah, which David the king had made to give thanks to Jehovah (for his loving kindness is everlasting) when David praised by their ministry and the priests blew trumpets before them. And all Israel stood.
⁷ Moreover Solomon made the middle of the court holy that was before the house of Jehovah. For there he offered the burnt offerings and the fat of the peace offerings, because the brazen altar which Solomon had made was not able to receive the burnt offering and the meal offering and the fat.
⁸ So Solomon held the feast at that time seven days and all Israel with him, a very great assembly, from the entrance of Hamath to the brook of Egypt. ⁹ And on the eighth day they held a solemn assembly. For they kept the dedication of the altar seven days and the feast seven days.

¹⁷ And they offered at the dedication of this house of God a hundred bullocks, two hundred rams, four hundred lambs. And for a sin offering for all Israel, twelve male-goats, according to the number of the tribes of Israel.

¹¹ And he laid not his hand upon the nobles of the sons of Israel. And they beheld God and ate and drank.

⁷ And there you* will eat before Jehovah your* God and you* will rejoice in all that you* put your* hand to, you* and your* households, in which Jehovah your God has blessed you.

¹¹ then it will happen that to the place which Jehovah your* God will choose to cause his name to dwell there, there you* will bring all that I command you*: your* burnt offerings and your* sacrifices, your* tithes and the heave offering of your* hand and all your* choice vows which you* vow to Jehovah.
¹² And you* will rejoice before Jehovah your* God, you* and your* sons and your* daughters and your* men-servants and your* maid-servants and the Levite who is within your* gates–inasmuch as he has no portion nor inheritance with you*.

¹⁴ And you will rejoice in your feast, you and your son and your daughter and your man-servant and your maid-servant and the Levite and the traveler and the fatherless and the widow, who are within your gates.
¹⁵ Seven days you will keep a feast to Jehovah your God in the place which Jehovah will choose, because Jehovah your God will bless you in all your increase and in all the work of your hands and you will be altogether joyful.
¹⁶ Three times in a year all your males will appear before Jehovah your God in the place which he will choose: in the feast of unleavened bread and in the feast of weeks and in the feast of tabernacles. And they will not appear before Jehovah empty. ¹⁷ Every man will give as he is able, according to the blessing of Jehovah your God which he has given you.

³¹ Then Bathsheba bowed with her face to the earth and bowed-down to the king and said, Let my lord king David live everlasting.

³⁴ And let Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet anoint him there king over Israel. And blow you* the trumpet and say, Live, king Solomon. ³⁵ Then you* will come up after him and he will come and sit upon my throne, for he will be king in my stead. And I have appointed him to be prince over Israel and over Judah.
³⁶ And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada answered the king and said, Truly. Jehovah, the God of my lord the king, say so too. ³⁷ As Jehovah has been with my lord the king, even so be he with Solomon and make his throne greater than the throne of my lord king David.
³⁸ So Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada and the Cherethites and the Pelethites, went down and caused Solomon to ride upon king David's mule and brought him to Gihon. ³⁹ And Zadok the priest took the horn of oil out of the tent and anointed Solomon. And they blew the trumpet and all the people said, Live, king Solomon.

³⁵ And the king put Benaiah the son of Jehoiada in his room over the army. And the king put Zadok the priest in the place of Abiathar.

¹ Now David was old and full of days and he made Solomon his son king over Israel.

¹⁰ And on the twenty-third day of the seventh month he sent the people away to their tents, joyful and glad of heart for the goodness that Jehovah had shown to David and to Solomon and to Israel his people.

¹² And all the people went their way to eat and to drink and to send portions and to make great gladness, because they had understood the words that were declared to them.

²⁴ There is nothing better for a man than that he should eat and drink and make his soul enjoy good in his labor. This also I saw, that it is from the hand of God.

¹² I know that there is nothing better for them, than to rejoice and to do good as long as they live. ¹³ And also that every man should eat and drink and enjoy good in all his labor. It is the gift of God.

¹⁵ Then I commended joy, because a man has no better thing under the sun, than to eat and to drink and to be cheerful. For that will abide with him in his labor all the days of his life which God has given him under the sun.

⁷ Go your way, eat your bread with joy and drink your wine with a merry heart, because God has already accepted your works.

¹⁷ Command the rich in this current age, not to be cavalier, nor to have hope on the uncertainty of riches, but have hope in the living God, who is richly providing to us all things toward enjoyment; ¹⁸ also command them to work what is good, to be rich in good works, to be liberal in giving, generous,

¹² And Solomon sat upon the throne of David his father and his kingdom was established greatly.

¹¹ And it will happen, when your days are fulfilled that you must go to be with your fathers, that I will set up your seed after you, who will be of your sons. And I will establish his kingdom.
¹² He will build for me a house and I will establish his throne everlasting.

¹¹ Now, my son, Jehovah be with you and prosper you and build the house of Jehovah your God as he has spoken concerning you.

⁵ And of all my sons (for Jehovah has given me many sons), he has chosen Solomon my son to sit upon the throne of the kingdom of Jehovah over Israel.

¹¹ Jehovah has sworn to David in truth. He will not turn from it: From the fruit of your body I will set upon your throne.

² I say, Keep the king's command and that because of the oath of God. ³ Do not be hasty to go out of his presence. Persist not in an evil matter, because he does whatever pleases him. ⁴ For the king's word has power and who may say to him, What are you doing? ⁵ He who keeps a commandment will know no evil thing. And a wise man's heart discerns the time and decision.

⁶ For to us a child is born, to us a son is given. And the government will be upon his shoulder. And his name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Father of Eternity, Prince of Peace.
⁷ Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David and upon his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from hereafter until everlasting. The zeal of Jehovah of hosts will perform this.

¹ Let every soul be subject to the authorities which are superior to him; for there is no authority if not by God, and the authorities which are, have been appointed by God.

² And Abraham said to his servant, the elder of his house, who ruled over all that he had, I beseech you, put your hand under my thigh.

²⁹ And the time drew near that Israel must die. And he called his son Joseph and said to him, If now I have found favor in your sight, I beseech you, put your hand under my thigh and deal kindly and truly with me. I beseech you, do not bury me in Egypt,

⁵⁰ And Adonijah feared because of Solomon. And he arose and went and caught hold on the horns of the altar. ⁵¹ And it was told Solomon, saying, Behold, Adonijah fears king Solomon, for behold, he has laid hold on the horns of the altar, saying, Let king Solomon swear to me first that he will not kill his servant with the sword. ⁵² And Solomon said, If he will show himself a worthy man, there will not a hair of him fall to the earth, but if wickedness be found in him, he will die. ⁵³ So king Solomon sent and they brought him down from the altar. And he came and bowed-down to king Solomon. And Solomon said to him, Go to your house.

²⁴ Now therefore as Jehovah lives, who has established me and set me on the throne of David my father and who has made me a house as he promised, surely Adonijah will be put to death this day. ²⁵ And king Solomon sent by Benaiah the son of Jehoiada and he fell upon him so that he died.

³ The sons of Judah: Er and Onan and Shelah, which three were born to him of Shua's daughter the Canaanites. And Er, Judah's firstborn, was wicked in the sight of Jehovah and he killed him. ⁴ And Tamar his daughter-in-law bore for him Perez and Zerah. All the sons of Judah were five.
⁵ The sons of Perez: Hezron and Hamul. ⁶ And the sons of Zerah: Zimri and Ethan and Heman and Calcol and Dara; five of them in all.
⁷ And the sons of Carmi: Achar, the troubler of Israel who committed a trespass in the devoted thing. ⁸ And the sons of Ethan: Azariah.
⁹ The sons also of Hezron who were born to him: Jerahmeel and Ram and Chelubai.

¹⁷ David also commanded all the rulers of Israel to help Solomon his son, saying,

²¹ And behold, there are the courses of the priests and the Levites for all the service of the house of God. And there will be with you in all manner of work every willing man who has skill, for any manner of service. Also the captains and all the people will be entirely at your commandment.

⁸ Now be you* not stiff-necked, as your* fathers were, but yield yourselves to Jehovah and enter into his sanctuary, which he has made holy everlasting and serve Jehovah your* God, that his fierce anger may turn away from you*.

¹⁸ For he has despised the oath by breaking the covenant. And behold, he had given his hand and yet has done all these things. He will not escape.

⁷ And Jehovah said to Joshua, This day I will begin to magnify you in the sight of all Israel, that they may know that, as I was with Moses, so I will be with you.

¹⁴ On that day Jehovah magnified Joshua in the sight of all Israel and they feared him, as they feared Moses, all the days of his life.

¹³ And I have also given you what you have not asked, both riches and honor, so that there will not be any among the kings like you all your days.

¹ And Solomon the son of David was strengthened in his kingdom. And Jehovah his God was with him and magnified him exceedingly.

¹⁷ What is man, that you should magnify him and that you should set your mind upon him,

⁹ I got for me male-singers and female-singers and the luxuries of the sons of men and a wife and wives.
So I was great and increased more than all who were before me in Jerusalem. Also my wisdom remained with me.

¹⁸ O you king, the Most High God gave Nebuchadnezzar your father the kingdom and greatness and glory and majesty. ¹⁹ And because of the greatness that he gave him, all the peoples, nations and languages trembled and feared before him. Whom he wanted, he killed and whom he wanted, he kept alive and whom he wanted, he raised up and whom he wanted, he put down.

¹⁷ Now this became known to all, both Jews and Greeks, dwelling in Ephesus, and fear fell upon them all and the name of the Lord Jesus was being extolled.

⁹ But we see Jesus who has been made a bit of something inferior, less than the messengers, having been crowned with glory and honor, because of the suffering of the death he underwent, that in the grace from God, he should taste of death on behalf of everyone.

¹⁴ And David reigned over all Israel and he executed justice and righteousness to all his people.

⁷¹ He brought him from following the ewe-lambs that have their young, to be the shepherd of Jacob his people and Israel his inheritance.
⁷² So he was their shepherd according to the integrity of his heart and guided them by the skillfulness of his hands.

⁴ David was thirty years old when he began to reign and he reigned forty years. ⁵ In Hebron he reigned over Judah seven years and six months and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty-three years over all Israel and Judah.

¹¹ And the days that David reigned over Israel were forty years. He reigned seven years in Hebron and he reigned thirty-three years in Jerusalem.

⁴ Six were born to him in Hebron and he reigned there seven years and six months. And in Jerusalem he reigned thirty-three years.

¹⁵ But you will go to your fathers in peace; you will be buried at a good old age.

⁸ And Abraham gave up the spirit and died in a good old age, an old man and full of years and was gathered to his people.

²⁹ And Isaac gave up the spirit and died and was gathered to his people, old and full of days. And Esau and Jacob his sons buried him.

²⁶ You will come to your grave in a full age, like a shock of grain comes in its season.

³¹ The hoary head is a crown of glory. It will be found in the way of righteousness.

³⁶ For indeed David, having attended to the plan of God in his own generation, fell-asleep and was added to his fathers and saw decay;

⁹ (Formerly in Israel, when a man went to inquire of God, thus he said, Come and let us go to the seer, for he who is now called a Prophet was formerly called a Seer.)

⁵ And the prophet Gad said to David, Do not abide in the stronghold. Depart and get you into the land of Judah. Then David departed and came into the forest of Hereth.

² that the king said to Nathan the prophet, See now, I dwell in a house of cedar, but the ark of God dwells within curtains. ³ And Nathan said to the king, Go, do all that is in your heart, for Jehovah is with you.
⁴ And it happened the same night, that the word of Jehovah came to Nathan, saying,

¹ And Jehovah sent Nathan to David. And he came to him and said to him, There were two men in one city: the one rich and the other poor. ² The rich man had exceedingly many flocks and herds, ³ but the poor man had nothing except one little ewe-lamb, which he had bought and nourished up. And it grew up together with him and with his sons. It ate of his own morsel and drank of his own cup and lay in his bosom and was to him as a daughter.
⁴ And there came a traveler to the rich man and he spared to take of his own flock and of his own herd to dress for the wayfaring man who came to him, but took the poor man's lamb and dressed it for the man who came to him.
⁵ And David's anger was greatly kindled against the man and he said to Nathan, As Jehovah lives, the man who has done this is worthy to die. ⁶ And he will restore the lamb fourfold, because he did this thing and because he had no pity.
⁷ And Nathan said to David, You are the man. Jehovah says thus, the God of Israel, I anointed you king over Israel and I delivered you out of the hand of Saul.

⁴¹ Now the rest of the acts of Solomon and all that he did and his wisdom, are they not written in the book of the acts of Solomon?

²⁹ Now the rest of the acts of Rehoboam and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

⁹ And Jehovah spoke to Gad, David's seer, saying, ¹⁰ Go and speak to David, saying, Jehovah says thus, I offer you three things. Choose one of them, that I may do it to you.
¹¹ So Gad came to David and said to him, Jehovah says thus, Take which you will:

³² And what more should I say? For the time will fail me if I describe the things concerning Gideon, Barak, and both Samson and Jephthah; both David and Samuel, and the prophets: ³³ who through faith conquered kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, sealed the mouths of lions,

³⁴ Now the rest of the acts of Jehu and all that he did and all his might, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

²⁸ Now the rest of the acts of Jeroboam and all that he did and his might, how he warred and how he recovered Damascus and Hamath, which had belonged to Judah, for Israel, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

²¹ And he changes the times and the seasons. He removes kings and sets up kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.

²³ And in what the king saw a watcher and a holy one coming down from heaven and saying, Hew down the tree and destroy it. Nevertheless leave the stump of the roots of it in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass, in the tender grass of the field. And let it be wet with the dew of heaven and let his portion be with the beasts of the field, till seven times pass over him.

²⁵ That you will be driven from men and your dwelling will be with the beasts of the field. And you will be made to eat grass as oxen and will be wet with the dew of heaven.
And seven times will pass over you till you know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men and gives it to whomever he will.
